What are you talking about when you put 4 cylinder vs 4 cylinder the performance goes to the Mercedes. This review was not fair because he was comparing the 4 cylinder Mercedes against a hybrid BMW. The Mercedes hybrid i hear goes 300+ horsepower while the hybrid BMW has 280+ big difference.

I also didn’t like the lever on the side of the steering wheel. I tried the Q5 as well, loved it but I wasn’t getting too much in comparison with the X3. I ended up getting a better deal with the X3! I own a 2020 X3 M40i. I like it but don't like its brakes, too touchy and hard to modulate. It stops great but you gotta learn to handle its quirky feeling. I also test drove a 2021 MB AMG GLC 43 which is also a great car but not as fast as the M40i which is a lot sportier. The X3 model line has small interior control buttons which are not too friendly and practical. I found the GLC have a better interior design and controls. When I found out about this despicable greed from several local dealers I told them to go to where the sun never shines. Just be patient as the market will get better and stabilize soon. Another personal observation....I like how the MB GLC "Coupe" looks over the same standard non-Coupe SUV model.....but there 2 features that I do not like at all, the Coupe costs $6,600 more and also it is much smaller in the rear and overall interior capacity because of the slanted rear of this model.....so it is no go for me. BMW is also at fault here for the same reasons, their X4 is identical to the X3 except that it is the coupe model. The X4 is also a lot more expensive than the X3, $4,600 more, and has smaller interior space. If you disregard the looks then these 2 are the same model car. X3 all the way . The BMW build quality is better in the interior . Merc has to really bling things up to compete whereas the BMW is timeless plus even in its basic spec has the the better build quality . The Merc will not age well. The build quality now is not what mercs used to be. At the end of the day you spend so much time in a vehicle and you want to feel like you driving . Dont confuse perceived quality and actual quality . Plus overall the BMW drives better, looks better on the exterior , has better interior quality maybe not the wow factor like the merc has on the interior (but each to his own on that point) , has better tech , has better individualisation packages and options. In essence you can spec a sporty M Sport exterior with 4 piston brakes and standard M Sport suspension and keep the interior as per the base model with just m sport steering and seats or you could upscale the interior and keep the base model exterior. Depends what you want to spend money on . In a lot of these videos a base x3 is used against higher trim levels of other brands and yet overall as a package the X3 still takes the crown. The new generation GLC is out now and a lot of merc fans don’t like the interior build quality and styling , but younger buyers love it and love the infotainment However I hear it is a more sporty drive than the old one and is not bland like the old one. So that’s a plus in my books. It’s actually good that these 2 brands compete like this so we get good stuff from them. Having driven both and currently owing an F25 2010 base spec and a G01 2018MSport base model as well relative to the m sport , I can tell you the X3 makes you want to drive , corner like a sports sedan ,whilst been surround by driver focused interiors.
I heard the mention in your video. However, being a car enthusiast, I like to watch videos that make sense and add value to my spare time. I would not make a video comparing two-vehicle trims that do not match. You wouldn't listen to me saying (Oh, I couldn't get a base GLC 300, but I could get my hands on a GCL 43 AMG. Therefore, I will compare it to a base BMW X3 30Xi).
X3 has more features I can use like heated steering and seats, compared to self parking on the GLC, which was a bit quirky and parallel parked in parking lot. Other than that sometimes its good to be unpredictable. God is good above everything in Jesus Mighty Name!!!😊
BMW is for who can't face luxury with out ostentation. BMW driver usually don't exactly know what it really means luxury and exclusivity Thye just want to show 🤣
I prefer performance over luxury if i want luxury i would sit on the back and Merc can't beat BMW in terms of performance also many cheap 30-40k Merc car drivers act like they drive S Class Maybach lmao
That's luxury vehicle for you. They are designed to be interesting. While normal brand designed for people with much less money so everything is tuned down. If you can't afford to buy a new car every three years, don't bother with luxury brand.
Biased Mercedes review. It you want an old lady’s pillow ride go for the GLC. If you want an SUV that drives like a sports car and is a blast to drive, go for the X3 M40i or X3 M.
I don't get that vibe. The glc looks more masculine to me at least on the outside. Also in the USA BMW isn't really a masculine car brand, it's quite often preferred by women.
I planned to buy a X3 plug in untill i found out that it has a 1.5 LITER 3 CYLINDER moped engine made by Peugeot.. Same engine they put in a Mini cooper or a peugeot 208 ............ NOT WORTH THE MONEY So i went for Toyota RAV4 Reliable 2.5 liter non turbo engine and a 98 km range on battery Togheter 306 HP and 20.000 USD less then BMW
I'm currently looking at used vehicles of both models. It's nice to hear a true Canadian respective! Great job!

Happy with my choice though I love my GLC 😃 (also to note the models I drove were both 2020 and x drive and 4matic respectively)
They're both a winner but I prefer BMW over Mercedes.
Build quality is important to me, so I will pick X3.
So which would you pick? Or would it be neither and you'll go with the Audi Q5 or the Genesis GV70.
The X3 is 🔥
Which one leaks engine oil first?
I prefer the Mercedes over the BMW the brand is always a step above the BMW.
mercedes everytime, the best in everything
May I ask what is as tested? The option you have tested in the vid? Am I right?
Correct, with all the options the specific vehicle has.
It is all about luxery, but it is about to go from A to B really. Most people use their cars to go to and from work and perhaps to give a impression of wealth ,but it is still about from A to B to pay for the loan they have made in order to drive their new or used luxery car .
Both are Outstanding!!!!!
why do all these reviewers use the amg version of the glc 300, as if that's the most popular version?
It’s a press car, which means Mercedes Canada picked the specs. They generally pick the specs that’s the most popular according to the data they have.
How does the Volvo XC60 compare to these?
I can let you know later in the year when I have the XC60 booked. With the new B6 engine, the Volvo powertrain is smoother than before.
I would only lease these. Im going with Benz though
Honestly in terms of quality there's little difference between BMW and Mercedes. Mercedes has a slight edge in terms of a status symbol
How you know it's a Benz, the giant Mercedes Benz logo on their cars. How you know it's a BMW, the driver. 😂
Bmw is better sir
Depending on the need, for some the BMW may be better.
The x3 have new restyle, when you do this video already have this. Restyle
Video was shot 7 months ago, LCI was not announced
BMW ALL THE WAY
I bought an X3 M40i. I traded it in 5 months later. Enough said.
Why would you not compare the GLC300 with a non Hybrid BMX X3 30Xi?
As mentioned in the video, this was what’s available as press cars. These aren’t dealer models so I can’t choose which trims I get.
@@ivanC_22 the only portion that won’t match would be the powertrain. The rest is still very comparable.
@@JimmyMak Ok. Thank you, Jimmy.
mercedes - exterier 3/10 interier 8/10 bmw exterier 10/10 interier 9/10
BMW x3 win
I like both but GLC is 🔥🔥
Audi, BMW and Mercedes cars are not luxury cars, they belong to premium cars, this has long been known.
Who else can’t afford 🥺
Me! Hahah thanks for watching
Bro thank you so much, I need to choose one of this, I mean my dad had to buy, I m just 16 years old. Hehe
Oh same here I decide which car my dad has to buy so I watch tons of video
@@rayanmansoori5986 Cool. So which car will your dad take? My dad is going to take glc.
My grandpa has so cool, it’s the s class, and we have spent a ton in that so we took glc for my dad.
X3 has more features I can use like heated steering and seats, compared to self parking on the GLC, which was a bit quirky and parallel parked in parking lot. Other than that sometimes its good to be unpredictable. God is good above everything in Jesus Mighty Name!!!😊
Amen
BMW allday for me...
BMW is for who can't face luxury with out ostentation. BMW driver usually don't exactly know what it really means luxury and exclusivity
Thye just want to show 🤣
That's a quite interesting view
Hmm … Benz drivers would be higher in that category
I prefer performance over luxury if i want luxury i would sit on the back and Merc can't beat BMW in terms of performance also many cheap 30-40k Merc car drivers act like they drive S Class Maybach lmao
Finally saying Glc 300 just is for women, girl, bmw x3 body design is for men.
Both noted for their unreliability after the warranty runs out.
That's luxury vehicle for you. They are designed to be interesting. While normal brand designed for people with much less money so everything is tuned down. If you can't afford to buy a new car every three years, don't bother with luxury brand.
For people who hate BMW, try Toyota🤣🤣🤣
I went with the glc as the bmw don't hold value and are so unreliable
Thanks for watching. If it was my money it too would be the GLC
Biased Mercedes review. It you want an old lady’s pillow ride go for the GLC. If you want an SUV that drives like a sports car and is a blast to drive, go for the X3 M40i or X3 M.
How u gonna compare a GLC with a BMW X3?? 😂 atleast compare it to an X4 or an X5.
BMW for men, Mercedes for the ladies. The Mercedes is more feminine in looks and feels like it’s geared for women
I don't get that vibe. The glc looks more masculine to me at least on the outside.
Also in the USA BMW isn't really a masculine car brand, it's quite often preferred by women.
The look upfront is all masculine for the X3
@@djdoomyhow can it look more masculine if it’s all rounded on the outside??
BOTH REACH 60MPH AT THE SAME TIME……..DOESN’T MENTION TIME LOL!!!
5.4 seconds LOL!!
glc 0-60 is 6.1 sec if its 2020 or later otherwise its 6.4 sec .. i do t know x3 time
Volvo XC 60 . Similar price with 405 Hp
Yea, certainly a viable option!
Those 405 hp are really lacking in the performance of that car, so not a very good argument
But is still a ugly looking Volvo
Glc 43 is better than X5 😂 don’t even go with x3
BMW X3 all way Merc SUVS are meh
DEPENS WHAT you call "best" !!, but Mercedes is cleary most finnes !!!
The 2022 audi Q5 is far better than both
The GLC interior is horrible!
I planned to buy a X3 plug in untill i found out that it has a 1.5 LITER 3 CYLINDER moped engine made by Peugeot..
Same engine they put in a Mini cooper or a peugeot 208 ............
NOT WORTH THE MONEY
So i went for Toyota RAV4
Reliable 2.5 liter non turbo engine and a 98 km range on battery
Togheter 306 HP and 20.000 USD less then BMW
Bmw all the way
Close your eyes and ignore the batch, and choose Volvo. Yeah. Volvo
Both of them are expensive crap....
Mercedes dashboard looks dated.
