Brie Larson Quits MCU & Blames Toxic Fans

- In a shocking turn of events Brie Larson has been rumoured to have officially quit the MCU and will no longer play Captain Marvel in the MCU. She blames toxic fans for this and apparently didn't want to deal with the backlash anymore. This is another huge blow for The Marvels which is already projected to be the lowest box office performance in MCU history and Brie Larson leaving the MCU and blaming the fans just added gas to the flames of this film.

Oh, cool. She actually gave the fans what they wanted for once.
The Grand quitting finale
Rage quitting.
😂😂😂😂😂
There’s literally not one credible source that reported these lies. Oh wait…E! News quoted her over a year ago saying “I don’t know what the future holds”. Wow you people are morons who like to comment without even watching the click bait video first 🤦♂️
Weird how toxic fans only enjoy good writing, interesting stories and great acting. Strange
Can you imagine, if quarterbacks blamed their fans for their team's losing streak?
"Yeah, late in the third quarter, the toxic fans made me throw three interceptions. This is the fifth game we lost because of those toxic fans, they say mean things about me."
"weird... weird" -rachel zegler
@@LZJunior😂
You toxic a$$ hats go to any video of hers to harass her. That's not the same as saying you don't like a project because of the bad writing, or acting.
Toxic fans are ruining entertainment. Also, if you cared about good writing so much, how come GI Joe, and the Michael Bay TMNT didn't get the hate that the 2016 Ghostbusters got?
All 3 were bad, but only one got a humongous amount of hate. Please explain.
Hi,,, 👋 everywhere Heisenberg
I remember an interview with Henry cavil where the interviewer tried to get him to say that the complaining Witcher fans were toxic. He corrected the interviewer and said that they are just passionate and that’s not a bad thing.
Well handled I thought
Thats Superman
She bad mouths the “40 year old white men” then complains when they don’t like her, then calls THEM toxic! What a complete lack of self awareness!
Yeah and she’s almost 40’herself. I don’t want to hear from nasty old cat women misandrists anymore. This should immediately disqualify any actress who publicly holds this hate
She didn't call anyone toxic. People are making shit up for clicks at this point.
Brie helped pave the way for other up and coming HollowWood starlets like Rachel Ziegler to dump on the fandom and wreck any chance of their movie making a profit.
Brie Larson: (surprised Pickachu face)
@@BoomTribeEntertainment stop making up stuff and blindly following these youtube Dudebros!
The fans are "toxic" when Disney doesn't create good movies with good characters, scripts, no agenda, etc.
No the fans are toxic period.
Disney - 'You're fired!" Larson - "You can't fire me, I quit!!"
Woke Hollywood failing (in any way) is like food to my soul. Jesse has found an awesome little niche for his content and I’m here for it!
That's the pot calling the Kettle black, innit? I mean, you haven't amounted to shit, that's why you revel in the difficulties of corporations who have staff with more talent in their toe fungus than you do in your entire family tree.
Same
Exactly
Only thing a bigger joke are facist pandering movies like the sound of freetard, and the office bombs the daily wire is putting out.
This is what goes inside the heads within the actors like Brie Larson and Rachel Zegler:
"I'm playing this character and when you watch it, YOU WILL LIKE IT"
if they blame fans for there miss up then why in the hell u take the job cuz all fans know one u bull shit out of ur butt we as fan let higher up u suck as a worker for that movie
Toxic fans would imply she’s being harassed. I’m just ignoring Disney altogether. That’s not toxic. That’s voicing my opinion via my wallet.
Wow a girl that takes no accountability for her actions and blames people for how they react to her lousy nonsense! Never seen that before!
Poor, poor Brie! I´m so, so sad! We´re so, so evil!
Honestly: That´s idiotic on her side.
Wow! A Tarzan-Remake! Let me guess: Tarzan now is a black, young, bisexual female who becomes the leader she always knew to be! And she got lost in the jungle because her father, a white elderly male for some reason, lost her or died because of his hybris and stupidy endangering her before his death. Her mother, a strong black, bisexual woman, abandoned him before and now Tarzan has to find her way to reunite with her. Tarzan is very capable and strong, easily defeating gorillas and lions with her bare hands - from time to time just by persuation. Can´t wait to see...
You forgot a gay bear and sassy panther
@@citizenoftrone6570 🤣🤣🤣
i would love to see the balls one a director that has a black actor act like a literal ape because omfg the Irony would be so think you could carve it
@@LordAKiraAndou I didn't thought of it, what a great point! But on the contrary: How did the people in "Black Panther" behave? I would say that looked quite racist to me. I really don't understand why that picturing of African people have had such success and is so greately liked.
The Tarzan remake will be titled: Tarzan and Jane and the sole focus of the movie will be Jane Porter who won't wear a fancy dress and is going to be an instant expert in jungle survival despite having lived her whole life in London. Heck, maybe she'll travel with her mother. Tarzan will most definitely be a whimpering fool and Clayton, well, he'll obviously be white and evil.
The literal cheese that shares the same name as her would perform better in the mcu than she is doing, and without worsening disney's reputation
Cheese Larsen
The only toxicity in this "relationship" is Ms Larson and her bad attitude!
Any company that actively insults, vilifies, and targets their PAYING customers deserves to tank. We’re all so absolutely tired of this sh*t
I’m sorry but I disagree with one point, it’s not the MCU but still a Disney property: Kelly Marie Tran from Star Wars was attacked directly even though she just played a character with awful scripting and directing and motives, those were actual toxic fans attacking an actress for no reason. But then again, Star Wars fans are just psychos
Jake Lloyd, Ahmed Best, Hayden Christensen, Natalie Portman and even George Lucas himself were all targets of abuse on social media. Brie Larson is just the latest to be attacked by the militants.
Yes, that is also true.
@@ShaneT5S It's due to the dark side of their force.
You mean the people that you want to pay to see your movie? Those fans? Jesus Christ I can run Disney better than this
Like damn, being CEO is easy! You don't even need to work hard!
@@goose7215 I suspect you are a little sarcastic, but indeed you hit on a point. Being CEO of Disney would be easy. All you have to do is keep giving people what for have been giving them for decades. But no, they couldn't do that.

"Toxic Fans" = Fans who can see that a movie is garbage on their own.
3:31-4:00
To be fair, there are 2 very famous examples of exactly that happening. The kid who played child Anakin Skywalker, Jake Lloyd, and the voice actor for Jar Jar Binks, Ahmed Best, were relentlessly bullied for their portrayals of their respective characters. The kid never returned to the big screen and grew up to be a schizophrenic and an assault his mother landed him in prison for 4 years. All of which was probably a result of the bullying from playing child Anakin. The voice actor considered suicide for his portrayal of Jar Jar since he put a lot of himself into the character and the reviled reception hurt more because of it. But that still doesn't happen often, hence why when it does, it's remembered. Brie Larson's portrayal of Captain Marvel will be remembered for her horrible reception being all her fault.
Edit: Rachel Zegler as well.
Those two are very good examples of toxic people. Not fans. Very very sad cases indeed.
Don’t forget Halle Bailey
@@user-ys4tg2ru6r Catwoman?
I Guess I don't understand. I had no heartburn with the Anakin in the first movie. It was the Anakin in the next two that I couldn't stand.
My only problem with Anakin in the first film was that he was too young. I never saw Vader as being a young twenty-something emo behind that mask. Lucas should have STARTED with someone Hayden's age.@@jimbelcher6877
Honestly if Brie was just slightly nicer I feel like people would dislike her less. Like, it's not her fault Hollywood keeps writing her character badly, but Jesus christ her personality and the way she presents herself in the media is overall terrible... ):
That's true, people don't particularly like Ms. Marvel but most of them don't seem to have a problem with Iman Vellani.
@@spartanmuselol that's called apathy. That's why she isn't even in the news. People take one look at Ms. Marvel trailer and decide to not see it.
Another box office bomb.
Who would of thought a gender swapped Captain Marvel girl team movie would bomb?
Brie Larson brought absolutely nothing good to Marvel she should have been pushed out a long time ago.
I'm sick and tired of woke Hollywood blaming "toxic fans" for their sh*t writing, acting, and storytelling, followed by child-like tantrums when they're called out. If anyone, like Brie Larsen, wants to quit the franchises they're ruining, then all I can say is, "Good riddance. Don't let the door hit ya where the Good Lord split ya."
You addressed the "toxic" fans issue perfectly and succinctly. If only news outlets could understand the nuance.
Well, I'm sure she cashed out pretty well before exiting, and good for her. Let's hope she finds her grounding, like she was before Disney effed her up.
Netflix needs to buy back The Defenders pocket universe of interconnected tv shows they made (Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, etc.) and put them back on their service and just continue from where they left off instead of being part of the MCU. Keep them R rated, and no need to reboot Daredevil.
They were the best!
Loved Jessica Jones!
Jessica Jones season 1 was great@@noanyobiseniss7462
The netflix one is hands down the best punisher ever .
I don’t mean this in a mean way, because I don’t have a dog in that fight either way, but she won’t be missed. Captain Marvel is barely a footnote in the whole history of the MCU. As for blurry, Larson, if she wants to blame “toxic fans“, she’s got some growing up to do. You’re going to deal with toxic people no matter what field you work in. Either ignore them, or get them out of your way. Doesn’t change the fact that Captain Marvel was very unlikable, unlike the actual captain, Marvel, a.k.a. Shazam.
Oh no. I'm so heartbroken Haley, wait her name is Brie? Like the cheese? Oh. I'm so heartbroken Brie(?) is no longer going to be gracing us in superman movies. Wait, shes in Marvel? Was she a voice character? No? I don't know who she is then. Adios brie.
The Marvels: A MCU movie nobody asked for
They don't like me because I openly said I hate them multiple times.
Oh god they must be TOXIC. Sigh.
It's definitely the fault of myriad "toxic fans!". Couldn't possibly be the malignant, perpetually chapped common denominator.
Christian Bale has had enough of “white guys” running everything in Hollywood and beyond. The actor stopped by AOL Build with his “Hostiles” co-star Rosamund Pike and Wes Studi on December 18 and told the crowd that the reason he moved to the U.S. in the first place was because he wanted his kids to grow up in a “country of inclusion.” Unfortunately, that ideal hasn’t been too much of a reality.
Literally as soon as I heard that I lost all love and respect for him. I hated him as soon as I heard he said that. Christian Bale will now be known as the Woke Knight.
Yeah fans don’t want to pay money just to see a woman behaving like a man… so yeah fans must be toxic
Great news!
Yea it would be if it was true. Do you only get your news from this hack Jesse?? Brie Larson literally hasn’t quit a god damn thing. You really think she’d quit right before the movie is released??? Grow a brain.
Yeah, especially when Brie LIED about doing her own stunts
Well, I guess it's all for the best. They say MCU actors put a heck of a lot of work into every single character they portray onscreen. Brie Larson knows she has all the freedom to explore different opportunities outside of Marvel. Best of luck to her.
"We'll miss you Brie", said all the 40 year old white men. "Sorry for being so toxic. Say hi from us to Amber, Rachel, Phoebe, Jada and Kathleen Kennedy".
Those "toxic" fans are the fans that made them so much $$ in the past, they are just angry that their minimal effort isn't making them as much.
Oh well bye Brie nobody will miss you
Fantastic news. My efforts have been rewarded.
Poor fans having to endure persecution😂. Now you know what we Christians have had to put up with for centuries.
Brie Larson: Noone likes me after I shit-talked the fans.
Rachel Ziegler: Noone likes me after I shit-talked the fans.
Scarlet Johansenn: I like everybody.
See the problem here?
The SAD thing is she's 100% correct. The FANS have been Marvelously Toxic
If they were smart, they would get rid of both Larson and Zegler... The damage is done and they will suffer even bigger losses if they don't remove them... 💥
I think Daredevil should be sold back to Netflix because I’m not re subbing to Disney-, especially if it’s not going to be violent and mature with serious storytelling similar to the original series. I won’t even sub to watch the original series because I’m not wanting to give money to Disney. I’m also not going to watch a PG-13 Blade, PG-13 Punisher, and a Deadpool 3 that’s R rated in name only and forced to not tell whatever story and jokes they want but instead forced to be a MCU movie and some multiverse TVA bullcrap. The Fox Universe shouldn’t even have the TVA (which by the way is a stupid thing and devalues The Infinity Saga) since the TVA should be part of the MCU franchise of different timelines involving the MCU universe. There’s a difference between timelines and universes. Which Disney doesn’t understand. 🙄😑
I've always wanted to watch "girl boss and the seven weirdos", sounds like a great movie! :P
FINALY we can celebrate! No more toxic feminenity. The M'SHE'U is going back to the MCU!
@@necromancer0616 M"SHE"U, hahaha
Toxicity destroys everything it touches. Good riddance. You can't make money with Toxicity. She's blaming the fans being toxic, when she's being toxic herself. At least she's smart enough to quit instead of pulling a Zegler.
Well, she never contributed much to the MCU anyway so. See ya! Wouldn't wanna be ya!
OH BUT IT IS THEIR FAULT! they take a part even after reading through the scripts knowing from the git go that the characters are written poorly. they'll do it regardless just for the paycheck and deserve criticism of their performance. They may not like the criticism from fans but calling fans toxic or any other ism's for their involvement is even worse yet.
If you can accept Pattinson as Batman, why tf wrong with Brie Larson as Captain Marvel? bad script doesn't say she can't act
*"How dare you not watch our propaganda?"*
Good riddance, don't let the door hit you on the way out, nothing of value was lost...etc,etc.
if an entire fandom doesn't like you, they're not toxic, you're the problem. I hope she can redeem herself though, I don't wish her anything bad. But I will say I think it's best to replace her as captain marvel
Women... it's never their responsibility, its always someone else's fault.
But racism, sexism and antisemitism are real and exist in fandoms. I've read comments of that nature on social media. Including this forum.
Brie and Rachel have no idea how to conduct themselves in an interview without sounding narcissistic, self centered and berating other people for their problem. Gosh, no idea why that does not go over well with fans?! Also, the character of Captain Marvel in her solo movie was written poorly, overly serious, lacking likeability and emotion.
Disney milked the genre added their politics now people are sick of it.
But "Fans" ARE part of the problem. Look at Kevin Smith, when his 'Masters of the Universe' came out, the so called "fans" went ballistic and were absolutely disgusting, to the point of (and these are genuine comments I saw) wishing he's died of his heart attack, hoping that his wife would die of cancer and his daughter be r**ed. Look at that Rose Tico, she got actual death threats because "fans" didn't like her character in Star Wars. Sure, actors can bring heat on themselves for what they say but to think that "fans" aren't part of the problem is just ignorant and naive. As soon as "fans" don't like something these days, they're out like angry villagers with pitchforks and torches. Mob mentality.
Let's also not forget Jake Lloyd and Ahmed Best and even George Lucas himself. The abuse they got from the militants was horrible.
@@evertonporter7887 Abso-bloody-lutely. I was so glad to see Ahmed return to the Star Wars universe after all he went through.
Brie is such a strong woman she is willing to throw in the towel because social media
What towel? What towel did she throw?? You’re clearly misinformed and that’s not surprising considering it seems you only get your news and info from this lying hack Jesse
She was pretty high browed about 'doing her own stunt' and all but otherwise she never attacked MCU fans like its being incinuated here she just seemed hurt when she said 'I dunno, do people want me back?'
Her "I don't care about white 40 year old dudes' opinions" is the albatross around her neck. She knows it.
It’s hard to tell if it was self awareness or if she was genuinely asking
She is non deserving that's the biggest part. She just scooched in the MCU like some m0r0n on a crowded Metro.
First problem, fans were told captain Marvel is a must watch to see endgame which wasn't true.
Second, Brie has shown to be unlikable in interviews
Third, she used her movie Wrinkle in time before to discredit some critics just because they were white and male
Lastly, she doesn't feel like a superhero. I am sure if Emily Blunt played it no one would complain.
For all the bombs the MCU is making, maybe they can have Lockheed Martin or General Dynamics or maybe Northrop Grummen buy them out as marvel knows how to make overly expensive, innovative, toxic and destructive bombs.
every ego driven actor instantly gets countered by Henry Cavill's quote on fans.
Why? Because he IS one, too.
never seen any of her movies including captain marvel
Brie Larson is a terrible actress you made a good decision.
“Our culture will be so much richer the day that we stop saying, ‘Hey, it’s all white dudes who are running things,'” Christian Bale said. “Whether that be Hollywood, whether that be Washington, you know. We’re going to get, in Hollywood, so much better films and so much more interesting stories being told and America will become the America that the rest of the world sees it as, that makes it unique…that we recognize makes this such a beautiful, brilliant country.”
So, it's perhaps not surprising that Gal Gadot has strong opinions on the topic of feminism.
The actress - who had almost given up on her film career when she landed Hollywood's most badass female role - believes anyone who is not a feminist is by default sexist.
"People always ask me, 'Are you a feminist?'" Gadot tells Rolling Stone, in a new interview out this month.
"And I find the question surprising, because I think, 'Yes, of course. Every woman, every man, everyone should be a feminist. Because whoever is not a feminist is a sexist.'"
We can’t be “toxic fans” if we were never a fan of yours.
Stay woke, stay broke.
Go bankrupt Disney 👍 for THE MESSAGE.
Yep
I think Gal Gadot egged Rachel Zegler on when she prompted her by saying,” and she doesn’t fall in love with the prince”; then she let Rachel Zegler dig her own grave.
I will say... nah. Toxic fans are a thing. Star War prequels never forget. The attacks on Lucus sure, but also almost driving Jar Jar's actor to suicide and tormenting a ten year old all the way to adulthood. Like toxic fans are a real thing, but in this case it was unlikely to be the biggest reason for her leaving. That said, to be fair... there are a lot of videos that are immensely negative that have her face on them so yeah...
Whats ironic is when people look back at this whole thing , they’re not going to see the producers and directors and writers who muffed it up, they’re going to look at the women and other demographics who played the roles as failures who can’t do anything right.
Sorry but she really not a good actor and that first movie was soo bad.
A live-action remake of the animated remake of the numerous existing live-action adaptations of Tarzan? Isn't that somewhat redundant?
Gal Gadot did annoy me when she says. She isnt going to be saved by the prince. Just so predictable
Her subconscious in the back screaming something else like
:::IM A BAD ACTRESS AND I KNOW IT:::: wiggle wiggle
Yeahhh 🤣🤣😂😄😂
she finally understood the success of the first movie wasn't because of her 😂
Brie Larson Deserves better that is my Defence for her
She needs to blame herself, not the fans . That's like a cook blaming customers because his food sucks .
I think the MCU doesn't want Brie anymore. Look @ her interviews with her co-stars and even the interviewers themselves.
Watch her interview with Jeremy Renner. He couldn't even look at her, then ask how any fan can be "toxic' compared to Brie.
So the fans who made the character popular are the bad ones? Lmao. Another woman with no accountability. I'm not surprised.
To me, she's that secondary actress, & not a main actress, because she doesn't have that compsure.
An actor/actress should work well with others, not put down people who want to see a movie about them but the character they are playing, should know the background of a character they are playing & have some humility.
She tried to change "The Marvles" to "Captain Marvle 2".
The Marvels is actually such a fantastic movie! Absolutely loved it! But I do think that the fact that movies go to Disney+ so fast makes it pointless to see it in cinemas.
So funny how, just like Amber Heard, she complains in time to tank her movie. Brie, like the She-Hulk actress, both hated their roles. Brie, atleaat was honest saying she only took on the role for activism, meaning she wanted to put men down, now mad she isn't popular.
Bittersweet, not because she's leaving but because the mcu has gotten to this point....became a pawn in the fight against woke bs
I actually liked Brie in that infamous clip more than how she portrays captain marvel. That response was real and likable.
They don't even pretend to give a shit about the movies they're in. Act like you do.
So she didn't "Officially quit" at all. Not quite clickbait, but pretty misleading.
Adios Toxic Actress! We don't need you to impose your woke culture.
Anybody want a wake up call? Do a UA-cam search on fan reactions to MCU movies like Civil War, Infinity War, Black Panther from just a few years ago. Watch those fans leap out of their seats, lose their minds, hug each other in glee, and yeah lose their minds! We acted that way because what we were seeing, especially characters we were seeing for the first time onscreen, was so f'ing right on the money!!! I am still stunned at how great the did Black Panther and the black Order. The female leads were awesome! So how did we get here in 2024?
Now rachel and amber and "toxic-fan's" saved hollywood 😉
Instead of blaming the fans on what they want or are expecting, how about blame your useless activist writers and Disney for pandering to a minority of people that don't even watch the movies?
She made herself very dislikable and arrogant from the start and talked bad about the audience... and she's wondering why people don't want to watch her. Then compared to Tom Holland who was more or less introduced at the same time (obviously a bit biased because he had iron man in his film, but!), he was humble, he got along with the other cast, he was relatable and people still love to see him as Spiderman.
South Park is a roadside budget satire cartoon but they already got these jokers spot on. Champagne clowns gotta start living outside their heads.
I wish they had a James Cameron class where they can see how a man can create a powerful female character...
Not likely.
"Toxic" cries are white noise now...its overdone and never had any merit. Its just background. Nobody really hears it or cares.
Ive seen people write disgusting things about this women so i understand why she quit.
Cool. Didn't fit the part.
Can't blame her if this os true. You guys have, been talking about her over 4 yrs now non stop
The only thing I can say about Brie’s exit is, “don’t let the door hit ya where the Good Lord split ya!” Bye Brie….
What are they going to race swap Tarzan with? I’m sure they won’t cast a black actor for that? He’ll probably be Chinese, Latino, Indian or Native American. That would be funny, a Native American playing Tarzan. How did he get in Africa? Tarzan was from a British noble family and Brits are usually white, but They’ll change him. I’ll laugh my ass off if they cast an African American. I notice they didn’t race swap Mowgli in Jungle Book, that was the right thing to do. It’s only whites who get race swapped.
