I patterned my Remington 870 with a Remington extra full choke using three and a half inch number 4s of these longboard XR's and it shoots really well even at 50 yds.❤
Same here. I haven't really ever had amazing patterns with 4s, but these seem to be pretty good. Picked up your shells the other day, so tests will be coming soon. Thanks!
I would call that 5 fliers. Frankly, I am impressed with that pattern for a #4. In fact, I may get a box of 4’s because I saw some the other day at Walmart. I would not hesitate to sling a load at one out to 50 or so with that. I am shooting a 20 gauge this spring, but I have shot LBXR #5 in 3.5 inch loads for years. The magnum blend shoots a pattern in my 870 with a CompNChoke .665 that is almost unbelievable. I am not bragging on my gun with all this; I am just trying to address your request for load information…😂
I actually don't have any 20ga setups to test that would give usable turkey patterns at the moment, but I hope to get into some 20ga stuff at some point soon
Hey Matt. Just a question, what do you use for backing paper to cover tge backer board? I can see its kraft but is it something a person can buy locally? Thanks
It's actually rosin paper that is used in construction work. I just get it in rolls from home depot for like $13 a roll, which is much cheaper than kraft paper

We actually have a video testing the 3.5" 4s soon, so keep an eye out for that!
MY guns really like the 4's in both 3" and 3 1/2" versions
I've never really been able to get a great pattern from 4s, but these seem to be a great shell so far
Another great video. It would make me try these combinations. Thanks
Thanks! They definitely seem to be a good shell
Good looking Pattern for sure.
Definitely not too bad!
Ouch! Those 4’s are straight hammers. One of the best 4 patterns I’ve seen.

@@matttyreeoutdoors - awesome! I would like to see those old Rem Heavy Shot 4 thru that choke!
@@-B_G- Haha, I was already thinking about that, so we'll see what we can do
Looks really good! Get that combo centered up and it will be good to go. I would hunt with that combo with no worries! Thanks Matt!
Yeah, it definitely didn't disappoint. I wouldn't be scared to hunt with it either

I was rather impressed for a load of 4s as well. You should definitely pick up a box and try them since they seem to shoot pretty well
@@matttyreeoutdoors that 12 gauge is a back up gun this year, so I may take what I can get.
Hot pattern for sure daayyyyuuum
Definitely looks pretty good!
Nice group.
Definitely not bad!
that is a SMOKIN 4s pattern!!!
Yeah, I agree
I run a code black turkey in mine .665 and it likes the 4s & 5s best I remember
We're definitely gonna try it through a bunch of different chokes, so we'll see how it does in my setups
I also have a 935 with the Jebs .655 that is tough with #5s at 45 yards
Try the long beard XR 20ga #5 or #6 with the undertaker choke. Yea it’s a budget choke but you will not be disappointed

Even the 12Ga undertaker is great patterns
835’s usually run 100 fps faster than stated velocity.
👍👍👍

Good to know. I got the Kraft paper for mine from Walmart
Thanks Matt
4 shot have some power, but I don't know right hit, some time choke.
These are expensive shells.
These are actually on the cheaper side for a turkey shell here in the US
Not bad 👍🏻
Definitely!
