    Sorry but you really didn't show how to install new pads. I Know it's hard to do with a phone camera, but you missed a lot of information. How did you install new pads into caliber? Thanks for the info anyway. Just missed a few steps.

    Thanks for the info! I think it might be valuable to have a tripod or a second person to hold the camera so we can see the entire procedure.

    I just swapped the brake pads on the rear. The old pads did not have the metal spring piece for the outermost pad. The new ones did. I assumed it was to be engaged and rest on top of the slide flange. I have no idea what it's supposed to do. Do you? It comes within about 1/4" of the center of the rotor. I can't figure out what its purpose is.
    Also, my 2007 had a metal retainer on the caliper that seems to be a safety piece of some sort. After the bolts are removed you can't remove the caliper without compressing it and removing it.
