I would watch this video, the movies Nd read books forever
Half the magic in this film came from John Williams’s music. He really set the atmosphere, from the title theme to Quidditch to fight themes, and made some of most memorable tracks in cinema history.
I barely remember any music from any of the movies after the third. John Williams is just the best for this kind of work.
I'm 81 years old and I love everything about Harry Potter. Especially the cast in the films. No matter what any remake will never ever have the absolute perfection that original cast had. From the children to Hagrid, to Professors McGonagle,Snape, Dumbledore, and all the rest, yes even Umbridge was perfect
Warner bros, please consider making an animated Harry Potter TV series for new generations - it'll save money for special effects, allow more room for important scenes from the books, and provide better storytelling!
brilliantly writen brovo... I totally agree. I've read & seen each movie with family ... the insights shared are stupendous
@@SSGoatanks Nothing about Harry Potter should be done in the name of "saving money"
Best part of your commitment is that it illustrates that Harry Potter enchanted people of all ages. ♥️
@@Xfacta12482 I think what is saying and is afraid of is , that if they go with live action series, they would likely cut corners for no. of different reasons even if money is not a problem whereas in case of an animation they don't have any reason to act scenes and can also make the emotions more real
Dear Warner Bros. Studios, please keep this video available at all times for all to enjoy!
It's on the Blueray and DVDs.
I agree!
What a fascinating documentary! I really found it interesting to hear about the details and the work that went into creating these masterpieces.
A shout out to John Williams. He is an absolute genius when it comes to music, especially with this series. The music is so iconic and so memorable. When you hear it, it just takes you back to the world of Harry Potter.
Agreed. He makes every movie he touches believable with his scores
deadass makes my heart soar
@@Geoglyph89 its true though, Williams doesnt really dissappoint on any movie.
Also the Star Wars music, and under appreciated, the beautiful score he wrote for Memoirs of a Geisha. That year he didn't write for HP, but wanted to do something else and with Yo Yo Ma. Williams and Howard Shore wrote the most stunning and intelligent music in the history of film. Genius!
@@Geoglyph89 Everyone misses sometimes.
I love how "rupert don't smile" is something that needs to be said everytime before action hahaha I love him!
Chris Columbus was the best pick for HP franchise. He's responsible for the picture we have in our heads thinking about magical world, all the characters. He did brilliant! So much passion, dedication and tolerance about his creation. I'm sure even after 50 years people will go back to this first 2 movies with excitement. I'm forever grateful for this magic
Yes for the first couple of movies, but maybe not for goblet of fire and onward. At that point the books get a very dark tone and Columbus I think was only used to kids films so ye I think the later directors were better for the dark tone. (Except for goblet of fire)
@@bunnyedits9541 agreed. It’s interesting you feel that way. Mike Newell came for Goblet and only stayed for one movie. It is rumoured he only wanted the job to say he directed HP, it didn’t come from a place of passion. I think David Yates was great for the final 4 movies

Keeping that big of a cast together for basically 10+ years is insane. Thank you to each and every one of the cast for not giving up during the films.
The fakest one almost did. I dislike who she has become
Watching the cast mature and age through the years you start to realize the dedication they put into making an incredible start to finish film.
Hopefully they won't recast new actors for the TV show; an animated series allows more resources for storytelling and wouldn't dishonor the original movie cast members 🎥🪄

You really have to give Chris Colombus, David Heyman and the crew and cast (as well as their parents obviously) for helping Daniel, Emma and Rupert grow up while filming and being in a bright spotlight. They are incredibly well adjusted, for any young adults but especially child stars.
i'm sorta glad dan's parents were so protective of him; i don't think anyone could have predicted how long/far his acting career would go. and it could be really overwhelming.
(i also wonder, at times, if the adult Daniel Radcliffe ever flinches/turns around when someone shouts/says the name "Harry", haha.)
Nah, he's a nice guy, an accomplished thespian ✨💫⭐️

I don’t think people realise what an amazing job the directors and producers did.
Movies from books are almost never, NEVER approved of by the general public.
Countless book series with huge fandoms have tried to achieve what Harry Potter has, and they almost always fail, e.g. Divergent, Percy Jackson, Shadowhunters, etc.

Much respect to the composer. The music connects to the film so wonderfully
The confluence of the directing, the casting, the writing, the cinematography and the music is cinematic perfection. I absolutely love this series. I just want to do a special shout-out for John Williams because he's absolutely amazing.
Very True, I just hope they realize Harry and Hermonie should been together.
Was a film student in college, agree with you Seven, everything was done right and loyalty to the books. Working with owls and other birds of prey is difficult, not surprised they had to duplicate the street with the houses on the sound stage.

John Williams doesn’t overlay his work onto the image, he roots it deep into the story universe. The similarity and references, the grandeur Williams carries on from famous works of classical composers is one of my favorite aspects and proves that Williams isn’t just a creator but also a curator who reinvents what was loved in the past, bringing it into the present.

People say the first two movies are kind of dull compared to the others. I disagree completely, they have such a timeless magical quality like home alone or Mrs Doubtfire, something deeply nostalgic that the other films don't have.

No true HP fan would say that. Who can forget the first sight of the magical world?
They're not dull at all they had the perfect mixture of magic and darkness. Some of the effects haven't aged well but all in all they're solid films
