There are plenty of crazy Stanley Cup finals, but which team do you believe had the greatest dynasty? Maple Leafs in the late 40's? The Hags in the late 50's or 70's? Or how about Islanders in the early 80's? 🏒
Thanks Liam! That's a great idea, but challenging because of the interesting history of how they crowned champions/co-champs. MLS is on the docket too to figure out so stay tuned! 😎
Thanks! Yep they did make it to the Cup in the year 2018 and lost to the Capitals, which was their first year in the NHL! It's kinda confusing because the NHL like the NBA, views their seasons in two bookend years so in this case, VGK was 2017-2018.
That's correct that the PHOENIX COYOTES joined the NHL in 1996 and was later renamed to ARIZONA in 2014. However, the team/franchise that moved to AZ was the original WINNEPEG JETS who were founded in 1972. That's why I have them at 1972 in their banner. Technically they didn't play in NHL until 1979 but I went with their founding year instead.
You are correct! It was hard to choose a "beginning" year for this one because there was too many options to pick. So instead of doing the year the NHL was founded, I chose to do the year after the Challenge Cup era was completed, which was in 1915. I have that in the description if you want to know further :)
It's funny how all florida sports teams made it to the finals this year. Miami heat lost to the Lakers. Tampa Bay Rays lost to the Dodgers. Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Stars. Now we have Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Chiefs lol
Yup it's really insane tampa won in NFL And NHL in 2020 and really weird about the Ray's that they were the newest team and they are going insane how is this possible for the rays in mlb

There was no NHL prior to the 1918 playoffs. NHA
