Super helpful, I got a small cf and it’s nice as an evening bag, but for more daily use and my body type I think the re-issue 226 would be great, for the reasons you’ve mentioned! Also hesitating between gold and silver hardware.. I dress relatively casual too so silver is probably the right choice!
Great review on this 226 reissue. I own 3 reissues currently, all 226 size, and I absolutely 100% agree with you regarding the 225 size. I purchased a 225 last year, thinking I would expand and diversify my collection, well... bad idea, returned it 3 days later. For me personally, love the look of the 225, but gee, I felt that it barely could fit anymore than my rectangular mini! Way too small for me, these bags need to be functional for what we pay for them! So, returned it, and found the same exact style in 226, and wow the difference is unbelievable. 226 is my size for sure, so I completely agree with what you said regarding the 225 smallness..🌹👜
Currently- (as I'm always looking) *226- aged calfskin with gold hardware, 22 series. *226- 09C- metallic dark rose/pink, with silver hardware. *226- 17K- iridescent lavender, with rainbow hardware. (Unicorn reissue) 226 is my size for sure, I might add a 224 for fun someday. I love the black aged chevron, with gold hardware in 224... it's nice to dream 😍

Thank you for this review! I just found a 19 series 2.55 in 226 in gray aged calfskin leather with silver hardware. I just saw it in person at Fashionphile today. It's on reserve now and I should be getting it at the end of this week or the begining of next. i will say I was disappointed in the sheen. It's pretty dull for my taste as I prefer a higher gloss, like a glaze. Have you tried a leather conditioner on yours? Im wondering if I could shine it up just a tad. Regardless I will still keep my purchase as I do like it alot and love the aged leather look. i just wish it had more gloss. its from 2014 so Im not sure if it just aged to this dullness or if it was created this way.
Hi, great video. Any chance you can give measurements of the chain drop at both levels, I’m 5’6 and want to know what level it would sit at on me crossbody ? Thanks so much
Just realized you had another question! Doubled the drop is 11”, single strap its 20”. If you’re thinner it will hit probably right at your hip bone when cross bodied. If you’re curvier slightly higher. I find it’s just barely long enough to be comfortable crossbody. Hope this helps. ❤️❤️❤️

Hello! Great Video. I have been trying to decide between the GHW and the RTH. I cannot decide at all. I dress on the dressier side for sure, but I'm concerned that the antique gold will really fade over time and I would be heart broken. What is your thoughts on the fading of the antique gold hardware? Thank you!
The antique gold hardware 225 I owned briefly was an 11 series. It had faded due to its age but the overall look went really well with the aged calfskin. I think overall the bag just aged really well and the tarnishing blends in. If you love the gold I say go for it! Thanks for watching! ❤️

I am mostly a "Buy at the Boutique" kinda girl, but for some reason, I think a little older bag is maybe better quality? I found one I am looking at purchasing, but not sure if it is a good deal for used. It actually says "Brand New" and it is a series 13 which is 2010. Any thoughts? TIA
So sorry for the late reply! I just saw your comment. I love my 13 series reissue and the leather is amazing! As long as you get it authenticated you should be just fine. I have seen them in like new condition go for $3400-4000 or so. Good luck! ❤️
The 225 is larger in size but if you carry your items in slgs like me, there won’t be much difference in what it will hold. If you carry your items loose the 225 will definitely hold more. Hope this clarifies! Also, they just came out with a mini reissue but in single flap with 4 grommets! It is the same size as the mini rectangular and super cute! ❤️❤️❤️

Yes! 15 series! And it came full set. I was very lucky. 😊 225 is almost exactly the size of the m/l but like I said 1/2 narrower so the mini o case and small slg will not go in side by side. That was critical for me. But if you don’t have to carry those all the time it might be ok. It does work better crossbody. Hope this helps!
I’ve had success purchasing from Fashionphile, Rebag, theRealReal and eBay but all preloved sites need to be approached with care as fakes are getting better and better. Fashionphile does the best authentications and has the best return policies but prices are a bit high. The best prices were from reputable IG sellers and Japanese resellers through rakuten.co.jp but this site is only in Japanese so you will have to do some work navigating it using translators like Google translate and use a forwarding service to get the items. Thanks for the comment. I do make sure it is not stuck inside the closet and gets used regularly. According to Chanel, you shouldn’t really use products on their leather bags. Hopefully the natural oils from use will keep it just as it is! Thanks!
