I don't want to be mean or toxic, but I'm getting super tired of all those "English teaching experts" who are spreading wrong info. I realised I was also following this girl but I'm going to unfollow her asap. I'm personally a non-native teacher of English but I trusted her for some reason and was trying to improve my own vocabulary by watching her videos. Thanks A LOT for making such reviews, we need more of those
Can't agree more. We, non-natives, try to teach our students the best English we can while the so-called "experts" seem not to care about their audience at all. From now on I won't follow any non-native bloggers teaching us English
what baffles me is how a teacher of English - whether a native speaker or otherwise, but a teacher nonetheless - cannot recognize when a speaker posing as an ESL teacher is A not a native speaker B not a teacher
@@kimpanther it was clear that she is not a native+she doesn’t say she is and her bio on instagram states that. But the number of her followers and the frequency of her videos on my feed somehow made me believe she could teach people something. I shouldn’t have been so naive😁
@@catc870The issue is NOT being a native or a non-native English speaker.
Native speakers make lots of mistakes too but those mistakes are acceptable because they speak the language, many of them do NOT even know they make mistakes. I have tried to explain but some of them won’t even accept the right answer. 😂

I am a non-native teacher of English and Spanish as second languages. I've worked with several well-known institutes and have some certifications. I started to work as a teacher 30 years ago and I have taken German and French courses.
I just want to thank you for these videos. I do agree with you. I am very good at English grammar but I have an accent and can mispronounce words sometimes, so I focus on preparing my students for international tests, job interviews and make sure I'm using my knowledge and experience in class, and I compensate my weaknesses with videos and readings created by native speakers. In Spanish, the situation is the opposite. I am a native speaker but I find it difficult to explain grammar in this language, so I focus on pronunciation, vocabulary and speaking skills.
If we know our limitations and our strengths, we can be better and more honest professionals.
Thanks 🙏
Hey user, thanks a lot for your honesty here. I suggest you to search for Gramática Cognitiva in Google, it could help in order to teach Spanish Grammar more naturally and simple. There are several materials for free🍀
You must be an amazing teacher!
I must disagree... at least, to a certain point. If we apply this logic: the teacher makes a pronunciation mistake once, and the student unconscious gets it and this person produces the mistake when speaking. That'd mean that the student would get all the terms which are pronounced in the right way and starts producing them right away. This is science fiction.
A different situation is when the teacher's pronunciation is pretty bad and pronunciation mistakes are everywhere. This is something that many native speakers keep on repeating as if we were living in the pre Internet era.
I'm sorry but I don't buy it.
Cheers!
@@a-51labsstudio90sorry, I didn't understand the last part about the teacher who has a bad pronunciation?
@@Cheron88 a few years ago, having a good pronunciation was not easy and it's true that many teachers sucked in that respect. Nowadays, things are different with the Internet Mind you, no one cares much about pronunciation either.
Is that more clear? 😉
Slavs don't have articles in their languages, so they usually fail at it. It's so difficult for them but it's basics in English, so they shouldn't fail it as suppossed English teachers.
I'm a non-native English teacher with a C2 level on English grammar and I love your videos
Hey, Evelyn, thank you for your video, I really appreciate your putting time and effort into making learners aware of the mistakes made by the content creators who shouldn't be teaching English. I have nothing against non-native teachers but I really think that it got to the point where their lack of knowledge, paired with unprofessional conduct when confronted about the mistakes does more harm than good. It's widespread on YT and now, apparently, on Instagram. What worries me is the fact that none of those "teachers" are held accountable for presenting incorrect pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. I feel for all the learners who, in good faith, rely on those videos unaware that they are being mislead
This comment aged like milk Hahaha I knew it! You like and praise this type of content, but you don't like it when Dave is the one getting exposed, double standards much, you're so biased.
Thanks. It's always good to get a review from a native teacher.
I'm sure you have the support you need by every English teacher in the world. Just continue your excellent work.
Thank you so much for the kind words! Will do!🙏❤️
Thank you from Uzbekistan! You're my fav teach!
Very good point on the number of followers..
It seems these numbers doesn't mean much anymore... Students need be aware.
And thank you for the context.
actually the all teacher, u reviewed in your videos, ı have stumbled upon their videos on social media and paid attention considerably to their context. now, I see they are even wrong about what they teach and actually it relieved bc it makes me more confident about speaking. thanks a lot
I teach English as a second language, and while this content can indeed be less than ideal I think it's worth mentioning that there are mistakes and "mistakes". Yes, you wouldn't write "I would prefer doing x over y" in an essay but I've heard countless natives use it like that. It happens. "Go to Cinema" on the other hand is a mistake that mostly non-natives, especially those whose native languages lack articles, make, and it just sounds wrong.
Thanks a million! ❤ I intented to teach my ESL student all these "half past, quarter to..." but now I won't. He's going to the US, that's why.
It's totally fine to use five twenty five for 5:25, or five fifty five for 5:55. I can speak for American english users.
I love such kind of videos. They are more educational than any other videos.
That's what happens when creators lack preparation and don't double-check their work before posting
I congratulate you for this very informative video. As non native English speakers it is very usefull for us to learn real day-to-day English but with no mistakes in grammar, spelling or pronunciation. I wish you the best!
I'm excited my dear spoken English teacher 😍
Thank you from the bottom of my heart
thank you! it was very useful ❤️
Thank you. I'm learning English and I'm tired of bad English teachers.
Wow, maybe she bought followers! It's suspicious. 😮
Make more videos like this one! English for everyone makes them all the time and they are very useful!
Yes, she bought those followers.
I love your videos. It'd be great if you can continue doing this. We tend to make the same mistakes as they do. Either because we were taught incorrectly or because of our native language interference. I think you have to have a good English to teach or at least, you have to research not to give wrong information. I also agree that it is ok to have an accent. But you need to have a good pronunciation to be understood.
These non-native speakers should atleast researched them before uploading because there are many learners who will be deceived by these videos.
I love your videos, the way you are talking, and like your efforts!
Hoping for more content from you.
Thanks😊!
would prefer CAN be followed by -ing forms when alternatives are stated, so I would make a point about that and avoid any blanket statements
"I greatly appreciate your feedback on these reels. I've also noticed that many English-language content creators often utilize an uncommon vocabulary."
I’m glad I could help! ❤️
I cant stop being surprised at all those insolent teachers, looking straight into your eyes, they lie, a shame! We live within the age of the internet, is it that hard to press a few buttons, just to doublecheck , it's lucky we have teachers like you, Evelyne, thank u, u are cute❤
Thank you for this kind of videos!
Thank you very much for showing us the right path ❤

Great corrections teacher😊👏👌👍
Amazing video, I like it a lot, believe me, You are the first English teacher who made me realize that I should not be following those fake teachers. Thanks a lot.
I wouldn't call them 'fake'. I think they're just too confident with their English. I lived in the U.S. for 18. I worked my butt off to learn English as well as possible.
Thanks a lot, madam! Hope to more videos like this.
This is very useful!
Thank you 🙏🏼
I don’t know them. I don’t follow them. Yes, you’re right, they made lots of mistakes.

Thank you for this great video lesson, Evelyn! There is SO MUCH English language learning content on social media and they're a bit hard to follow along if you don't fully understand the basics. Looking forward to your next video. Happy studying everyone

Still, I'm willing to wager that Americans are more likely to throw out a 'come to my place' instead of a formal 'come to my home.' Also, she got fancy with the wine, making it sound countable, but the text didn't give it that promotion. It's all cool if it's a bottle or glass of wine. Otherwise, let's just roll with the chill 'snacks and wine' vibe!
Noticed that too! 😄
Yes!
OMG you're wonderful. Thank you for that I am kinda sick of those profiles that people have a very good English, but try to teach "harder"stuff without having 100% certain that it's gonna be useful
Thank you for the positive feedback 🙏❤️
Vids like that (teeming on yt these days) are extremely helpful in terms of brushing up your gr and voc skills. And are so unacceptable in terms of professional ethics. Say, what if you only focus on the mistakes themselves (esp systemic ones) without any reference to a particular persona? As a learner, I’d respect such a teacher who can prove their expertise without shaming whomever.
Wallah, I check your channel regularly to see if u have uploaded any of these kinds of videos plz plz keep doing them videos
Thx for your video
Great! Pls carry on.We DO need QUALITY!
Thank you for the words of encouragement! 🙏
Thanks.
Mam good news for us that we got experienced teacher(you) are giving us advantage of polite English sentences and grammars and you are very well teaching English speaking thank you so much
Thank you! Your positive feedback is greatly appreciated ❤️🙏
ok can you make a video explaining the difference between get , bring , and take ?
Do you realize what it means that a young Yemeni man who hates pedantisms, talking about them, and hearing them stands transfixed by looking at you, smiling, as you talk about the mistakes that pretenders of being such native or acknowledge speakers ?
Do you realize how much he would love to be in the shoes of those idiots who show up wearing a headband or a tie to talk to you live just for the sake of telling you just how beautiful you look?
I will tell you then that there is magic in you that makes bad news pleasant.
It is the contradictions that make the mute speak!
I will tell you about your eyes and how they carry war and peace, death and life.
Dear Evelyn:
Your blonde features are so beautiful.
But the color “black” on you is very, very beautiful.
Your mole in the middle of your left upper arm proves that.
Leave no shadow of a doubt that it is unjust for this color to be used in condolences.
You do not need evidence, eyewitnesses, or reporters to prove the truth of what you say.
Appear in a breaking news story in which you say that Jerusalem has been liberated, Sudan has become safe, Syria has become prosperous, and the wars in Yemen have stopped.
Talk about Biden and that he submitted his resignation, and that Arab governments boycotted America and Iran..
Our former ruler “Affash” is still alive, and our current president “Abd Rabba” is seven months pregnant!
Say those things and I'll believe them.
Only with you is all shows believable, and all tragedies that pass on your lips are beautiful.
Very helpful video
Glad to hear that! 🙏
You're the best.
Good Videos.
Love from Bangladesh ❤
Thank and Thank You again for the feedback.
Thank you for watching 🙏❤️
"My teacher always says that you have to learn English with content from native speakers, so he uses materials created by native speakers to teach his students."

Not necessarily. I have encountered native speakers with poor English. Their pronounciation might be better, however.
That's debatable, native speakers make mistakes too , such as confusing: their/they're/there, few/little, should of (instead of should have) and many more.
I have noticed that most of the non-native English speakers have good grammar. However, the native English speakers have good pronunciation.
You're doing a straight fire job. 👍
Thanks so much from Yemen, have you ever heard of Yemen?
But in 'English for Everyone with Kevin and Lisa', they show mistakes you have commited
Thank you for this analysis. However, I cannot find the link to the Essential Phrasal Verbs.
You can either use: to prefer to do sth. or to prefer doing sth. Both are correct. Maybe you should know about this, as the first one refers to a particular event, while the second one refers to a habit.
The only one I trust is Antonio from Italy, he sounds very smart but sometimes he does videos like that.
Can you analyze him?
Hi there Ma'am, we can use would prefer+gerund in condtionals.
Can we say I can suggest using this shampoo?
I thought it is winter now in Canada and You have green leaves on trees outside visible through the window. Did You make this reel months earlier?

Why are you imitating english for everyone channel? Please don't do it, you a smart girl, just teach us english using your own way, i love you, you rock!
I don't think she's imitating at all. I like her way of exposing these fake English language experts compared to the other channel, which is also a great channel by the way.
One more mistake in the last video is to say "at the dentist" instead of "at the dentist's".
What camera do you use to film your videos?? ❤🎉
Why they don't check it out before uploading😢
Is it ok to say "...and a wine"? Does it mean one bottle of wine ? is it not better to say "some wine?"
Cool 😅 servers her well )))
Hi, teacher. I saw this video by a YT English tutor in which she said 'They didn't appreciate how great I am.' Shouldn't it be 'how great I was?' If I'm not mistaken although we use the past tense in this case, it is still true today. For example, 'I visited the Buckingham palace. It was really majestic'. It is more of an experience or an opinion.Correct me if I'm wrong.
19:00 what's that flag below the American's?
I came across a lot of her content on instagram. I had noticed a lot of misleading wrong information but I recently started posting under Tetiana’s content about her mistakes because there are like thousands of them. And after a while she literally blocked me. I mean it’s one thing to act like an expert and give false information but what is with not owning up to the mistake and not correcting it? There are like literally millions of people who watch those misleading videos
U supposed not to be mention their name here...u can select their mistakes and make a video ( u can say that is the common mistakes native speakers do ) that would be better ... please dont hurt anyone.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It's always best to learn from the native speakers❤

I find this so embarassing...how can she be so confident and kind of narcissistic while she makes so many mistakes? Jesus... anyway, thank you for all the explanations and for dedicating your energy and time for this :)
Hahagahahaha you'll make all them who are pretending that they are acknowlable teachers and also who pretending that they are such native speaker to not posting lesson again hagagaha but u really liked that.

Yes and actually rather would be more natural.
