For the first 4 minutes of this video, I was really worried that Reece was not there and then he suddenly appeared with the excitement of a true adventurer while Ryan bitched and moaned about the setting sun ... you two make a dynamic duo 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you Ryan, so enjoyed this episode. I've been slowly working my way through the 1 of 4 when I have time to savour your explemplary content and beautiful videography. Reese getting into the swing of things and really enjoying the moments.
Absolutely magic Ryan. This is why I bought the 76 series Landcruiser to go on adventures like this one. Thank you Ryan (also Ed and Christoff). Not to forget Reece.
Hi Ryan, Reece, unfortunately the comments around robbery is true at Ihaha. Some of them have been more severe as well. Lot has been spoken and reported on the 4x4 community group. It is really sad, as we want to enjoy the beauty of Botswana and Ihaha but then things like this happen. I do believe during peak periods they have guards roaming. Despite above an absolutely wonderful video. It is magical to see this through your lenses. It makes you want to do an overlanding trip. Exceptional videography and really enjoyed watching it
Nice one Ryan & Reece! You guys make a great team. Always look forward to your episodes and they never disappoint. The effort you put in, really shows from how professional your productions come out. Keep them coming boys!
Welcome back Ryan . And Reece .. two buggers with great humour 😂 ! Top class videography chap .. loved this new episode and happy to see the vehicle all sorted and moving through the bush as it was made to do ! Look forward to watching more of your adventures .. drive safe and go well . Cheers
Great episode. The footage at Marabou pan was chillingly good. We must have just missed each other there. We were there the first week of Oct 2023. Can’t wait for the Khwai segment
Chobe is magic. Blessed enough to have been twice. Lions, ellies, roan, buffalo, wow. But, it was the leopards. And we agree, no one should be walking in your camp, ever, unless they are wildlife. Windhoek, good beer!
Absolutely stunning viewing Ryan (& Reece), the scenery, adventure & sights & sounds of the whole of this area is beautiful. Well done to you both - we hope you're on the mend, that broken leg recently was terrible luck for you. ✌️🙏👌
So glad you got the time to edit and post at last 😅 Truly an OUTSTANDING episode. Ryan the footage you captured, truly captivating. Reese, how you put up with your brother in law with a great sense of humour deserves a Bells or two! No, truly you guys are awesome together 😊 Sad to see Zim go but Botswana has sure delivered both in sightings of the four legged variety and worryingly of the 2 legged... Glad it all worked out but did the Rangers do a few patrols that night or not? Or is it best left unsaid.. Cannot wait for the next one Ryan and Reese.
This is truly an amazing adventure, Ryan you always get it right my man 💪, i enjoyed every second of this amazing episode. Reece my man, it's always good to see you along with Ryan, true legends 🙌
How wonderful!!. On this episode you have been very lucky with lion on a kill sightings. How fortunate. The 'gods' of the wild were smiling at you there. Brilliant production and very entertaining.❤
I really enjoyed this series, the camera work was on another level. Thanks God, the Ranger is up and running. I wish your channel all the growth in the world
Good Evening 😊 Awesome Video👌🏽 Finding Camp in The Dark 😉 Appreciate The Content and Your Time 🤗 Have a Fantastic Day 🙏🏽 Greetings From Limpopo Province , South Africa 🇿🇦
Ryan, what a great adventure! It's always something to look forward to and well done on the bush fix on the electrics, perhaps a handy tool is to carry a multi-meter 😄Funny that I just watched this, on the 1 year anniversary of our trip to Botswana in July 2023 on the exact same route! Agree on the fully booked comment as we had the same experience at Ihaha where we were the only people in camp. You were truly blessed by the sightings both in Ihaha and Savuti! Elephant kills by lions are extremely rare to see.
I love this channel... Stunning production and you make overlanding very realistic and practical with good reliable gear, nothing fancy or too much stuff.
Thank you for this channel Ryan. ❤ I’m actually saving up to get my own 4x4 before the end of this year. I’m hoping to go on my first overlanding trip next year March with my son🙏🏾
Hey man. I drove from Kasane to Khwai in one day, me in one car and my mate in another car. We were both absolute beginners at off-roading and we didn’t find it too bad.
Ryan your explanation of time is well said. Senyati wow lekke camping spot. The elephant's at night sighting at the water hole next level. The Ranger is a beast. The lions sightings also flippen nice. Again magic of an episode cheers Ryan
Fantastic video. Dont know how 8 missed it when it was released. Insane to see so many elephant kills. I actually filmed the elephant calf kill by Serondela in Chobe early in the morning. Very sad and hard to watch.
First of all, I need to congratulate you for the great content. I’ve been following you for years and the quality has improved drastically. Now, about Ihaha. This is kind of worrying. For some reason I never felt safe at Ihaha but it was just my instinct. The place feels too open. You seem to confirm that. So sad. Camping in NP is supposed to be safe. If this changes, we will not travel the same way. As you say, it’s not a cheap camp. I guess they would be interested only in valuables. Otherwise we will have to lock even our chairs at night. Very sad.
Hi Ryan, I noticed around the 53min 26sec you have a digital rearview mirror. Im needing to install one but havent found one suitable. A I need to know what make and model, and B would you recomend it. and C who and where did the installation. Keep up the good trips.
Hi Jeff, I think I responded to your query on FB messenger. It is the OneNav smart mirror from Planet World. I would recommend it. There are better alternatives but way pricier. For the price it is a great unit. See my Zambia and Zimbabwe series for more info. Good luck 🤙
Again a really amazing episode What was your average speed on the sandy sections with 4 high engaged And your photography is absolutely just off the charts.
@@4x4ventures_southafrica wow thats actually kinda scary. I've always just assumed you had one just in case it gets a bit sketchy out there. Love the videos boet. Keep safe
This is really unaccessible. They won't harm but they definitely will take things from your camp...the experience could end up being really bad if you have ladies with you.
Thanks Ryan and Reece. missed this one.
Gotta love Reece, he’s a funny guy and a great camera man, EXCITING😂

Absolutely world class production and content. Well done Ryan and Reece!
Ryan, this is one of the best series you have filmed, the imagery and editing is second to none and I have enjoyed watching it immensely.

Mate the footage is Nat geo quality, and the banter gives me a chuckle. Just great all round.
Geez Ryan, really great footage shared, the end piece with the elephant kills was truly amazing, keep up the great work 👍🏼🇿🇦

Nice one, Ryan!! Your camera work and editing is topnotch.
Another awesome video they just get better and better.
What a jol.. love it. Thanks..
Beautifully filmed!
Seeing that Savuti pride was so special. I bought that Joubert video when I was a guide in Pilanesberg in 1996. Good memories.
Reece is a comedian 😂 so funny
Thank you for this channel Ryan. ❤

Love it❤️❤️🔥
Really enjoying your channel my friend! Very creative, polished, and you put a lot of work into it.
Thank you champ. Really appreciate the kind words 🤙
@@4x4ventures_southafrica you bet my friend. Well deserved!
Loved it
Excellent video! Very sad to hear about the potential thieves tracks on your camp. Also the stories of other thefts.
Yes, very sad but at this stage it is hit and miss with the people in camp at Ihaha. Glad you enjoy the episode 🤙
Let's go!
Let’s goooooo! Thanks legend

It will be released when I’m back from a trip and it ready. Thank you for your patience

Beautiful filming. When was it filmed. Thank you.
Watch the beginning of the episode. Date is there
Got it, thank you.
Again a really amazing episode
What was your average speed on the sandy sections with 4 high engaged
And your photography is absolutely just off the charts.
Thank you. Between 5km - 15km/hr
Last year we abandoned our last night at ihaha because of suspicions movements and we where no longer comfortable. It was sad .
How about trying that solar light with cctv. You'll be able to get alerts
Good idea, but a trail camera does the job just fine
What oil do you use in your 2.2tdci?
The one recommended and used by Ford. Forget the name off hand
Uitstekend
Out of curiosity... Do you guys carry a firearm for personal safety at all?
No firearms across borders, and we don’t carry firearms at all. We use air horns and pepper spray if confronted by people and or predators.
