Im in England UK, i have 4 Metropolitans, you are right to say the rear external opening boot (trunk) was introduced in 1959, this also changed to quarter light side window vents making this a series 1V model until end of production in 1961. Her in UK we have RAC and AA as the old original roadside recovery/assistance. Enjoyed your video as i have every part of this car too, was fun naming the parts as you took them out
Okay David, that one is a beaut. Nice and straight, good panel matching from what I can see on the video. Nice! BTW, sell everything (including the Mustang) except the Jeep FC!!! These are the only two vehicles you need and they are the coolest of the bunch by a country mile.

Fantastic, this is going to be just excellent. The Metropolitan really is the Bianchina of the U.S. Have fun, Dave!
As someone that just retired from the trade show business, I find you putting all that stuff on the floor (during the show!)quite amusing.
The "Nash Motors Co" button with a number on it was an employee ID badge, it would've belonged to someone who worked at the factory.
Your article on the high mileage i3 taught me why electric vehicles are not sustainable so thank you.
RAC = Royal Automobile Club. As Mercedes says, sort of the UK equivalent of AAA (founded in 1897)
I've got a service manual for it if yours didn't come with one
Is that one of the Sultan’s Ferrari wagons in the background?
Close! It's an Aston Martin Virage Shooting Brake.
@@theautopian1551 if only there was someone who could tell me all about it’s quirks and features…

If those are really golden coins maybe consider returning them to the previous owner?
Just common ''collectables''. It's the sort of thing you find on ebay for $5-10.
