Roll-a-cot is the best cot I have ever lied on. I now own 2. I am surprised had not seen anyone else praise this cot, till now. By not having a bar near your foot and head, it allows to not feel like a banana.
I just bought a roll a cot and used it for the first time last weekend. First night I slept on it without a mat. Big mistake. Luckily I had a small blow up mat, saved the camping trip. I do really like the size and weight of the cot. Next time bringing a better pad.
They say your sleep system is key. If I could drop over $1000 dollars on gear I’d sleep great too I know because I’ve been pricing some of these items myself. You get what you pay for sure. Really Nice set up. Safe travels.
Fantastic video! Very informative and entertaining. I stayed to the end so I could get the 6th tip and it was worth it. I would need a side table for my phone and clock and chips. Great camera work.
Love your content here! I own a lot of the same things you do except I pull my trailer with A Yamaha Royal Star Deluxe with my wife on back. We have the same Exped (ours is the Duo) as well as the same side table. Our tent is a little bigger, but my wife usually comes with me so we needed the extra size. If we can't sleep comfortably, then we aren't going to be camping very often, and then I'd have to wonder what to pull with my trailer! A couple other items we have is a bigger Lifetime foldable table that we store gear on in our tent's mudroom and use as a charging station for the drone and camera batteries and other essential camping electronics. Our newest (and probably number 2 or 3 on our list of top 5) is the Jackery 1000 solar generator with 2 100 Watt solar panels. We just got back from Moab and having this additional power will be game changing for us. Thanks for posting, and keep it up! Also... I'm learning a lot from your dutch oven videos.... I have not cooked with one and I do think that's about to change!
Thanks for showing the tent in its bag right at the start. As a biker me own self who likes to travel rough around the countries that is the first and biggest question to answer about a tent. I am looking into a setup like this as I am just too danged old to roll around on the ground to sleep and wiggling out of my tent opening like a new birth every morning. Traveling less rough seems good at my age.
I used to rough it while camping. Now I want comfort and a good night's sleep. Here's a more in depth video on the tent. ua-cam.com/video/zILqSo3CPOA/v-deo.html
@@SteveOutdoors Very good video and the tent looks terrific. I picked up a bike tent trailer years ago in Abilene and used it for about 10 years. My wife loved it but it changed the whole feeling of of riding bike. It was Heavy enough to over stabilize my bike. This looks like a super setup.
I'm newly retired and will be traveling from Washington state to Oklahoma this summer to see family. I'll be staying at quite a few KOAs. Thank you for such a helpful video; I'm going to get all the items you mentioned. There's no reason to reinvent the wheel.
You had me worried, I was glad when you said 'bonus item', I thought you were going to say that there was going to be a 'TEST!' at the end of the video.
This was really helpful! Thanks for posting Have you, or any other viewers, used a pad on top of it? I have an exped mega mat and have not tried using it on top of the cot? I like the cot a lot but trying to see if I can continue to improve comfort levels Thanks in advance
Does it feel pretty sturdy? Does it rock back and forth a lot when you move around? Looking for something to use pickup truck camping. It’ll be a tight squeeze and I don’t want to listen to it banging into the truck bed when I move lol
I found you on the web page. It not in this video. I need to know what chair you have, when I clicked on it, none were for sale, was not the web page for it now. would really love 2 of them
i fell in love with roll-a-cot since i started watching your videos. would love to get one - but it does not appear they are selling them anymore?! all of those other cots are clunky, heavy, with over-engineered design.. why on earth would they stop selling this one? :'(
Dude I cant thank you enough for introducing me to the roll-a-cot!! I was so tired of spending money on air mattresses!
You're welcome!

Probably because people may have not heard of it. I'm just hearing about it now.
@@JT-gx3ku the cot is also nice in warm weather because it is a mesh fabric. Can get cooled above as well as below.
Crazy how expensive they are given the materials probably don’t cost much and there is no engineering.
This looks all really great.

Awesome video on the needs when camping. 👍🏽💯
Great camping gear! What’s not to love about motorcycle camping? More people should do it. Love the background music too!
Thanks! I just got back from a 5 day trip. Slept like a baby.
Thx for putting this together. Great info, and love that shirt!
You’re welcome!
Very inspiring video!
Found your cot and more thanks.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. That tent looks awesome.
Thanks!
Thank you! Tell me more about the heater.
The little electric heater will do ok as long as it's not too cold.

For colder nights I prefer my propane Buddy heater.

I need to meet you at Academy! Help me 'add to cart' lol
Excellent video .
Thanks!
Thanks
That cot looks real comfortable with mattress and bag, I like the makeshift table too.👍🏻
It is!

@@matth5309 it is pretty sturdy. And the good thing about using in a pick up truck is there’s no center legs to get in the way of the wheel well
@@SteveOutdoors Perfect thanks! The two legged design was exactly what I wanted for just that reason.
Thanks for sharing, I like the sleeping mat
New sub from UA-cam creators
Stay safe ATB Del
Thanks subbed.
Do you think the smallest version will fit in a car front seat folded down with cot over the front and rear passenger seat?
You'd just have to measure it out I guess.
I found you on the web page. It not in this video. I need to know what chair you have, when I clicked on it, none were for sale, was not the web page for it now.
would really love 2 of them
I think that chair is discontinued. But I recently boat this one. It’s even better.

Are you using the 74” or 79” length roll a cot?
79
Love content. Music, not so much.
What kinda little heater was that
@@paulgrice5013 it was a really crappy heater. I don’t use it anymore. I think it was made for a desk, but it didn’t put out much heat at all.
@SteveOutdoors what do u use no, electric , propane etc
@@paulgrice5013 I use a Buddy propane heater now.
What is the width of your Roll-a-cot? You look about my size.
28 inch wide
@@SteveOutdoors My cot is on the way. I didn't want it too wide and take up too much room in the bed of my truck.
What are you going to do with all that stuff when you get a mini mate camper LOL
No Mini mate for me. I already got the perfect trailer.

@@SteveOutdoors thanks, i checked it out. postage to australia is over $160, which is ridiculous :(
What size cot did you get?

Very good how to video. But kill the music for us that need to watch it a few times.
Who's filming you?
My nephew Jason
Half the video spent just setting up the cot. Oh nooooo……..
Thanks skipping to the end.
