Muscle hypertrophy basically implies choosing a rep range where optimal muscle building happens . Usually 8-12 is the "go to" rep range but I've been working out for almost 3yrs now and 8-12 is although a good rep range but some body parts in my opinion require way more and some might require way less ..for example bicep & tricep I do in between 15-20reps with slower eccentric , rear delts and side delts I keep 12-20 reps as well with 45-60s rest period only .. however for bigger muscle groups like chest n legs I do bench press and incline dumbbell press for 6-10 reps at Max and rest period is 2-4mins . Whereas for a pec dec fly rest period is usually 1min and higher reps ..so to sum it up compound movements build most muscle mass so don't go too high reps on them and stick with 6-10 and for isolation movements less rest period and higher reps

Hey Saket, i just turned 18 and i have been training since 10months now, still facing difficulties in targeting my chest and side dealts due to poor MMC, i got poor posture tho,pls suggest any tips to fix it since I am the hardest working in the gym and it pains me to to not get the best gains.
