This brought me to remember many things, and think of even more… 1: my first time playing minecraft. I went to my aunts house and my cousin (he was around 16 I was around 5 it was around 2011) was playing minecraft. I asked whether I could have a go. Together, we spent hours playing, fighting modded bosses, creating secret bases, and exploring old adventure maps. I remember when I made my first secret house my cousin was using grass blocks above grass blocks. I distinctly remember telling him the bad guys would find us. A whole decade has passed, and I still cherish those moments. 2: This game still brings joy to the new generation. My 6 year old cousin came into my bedroom about a year and a half ago, and I was playing minecraft creative mode. She saw me building a rollercoaster (because I was feeling nostalgic) and instantly wanted to play. I loaded up minecraft on my iPad that had been running the newest version of minecraft for 5 years now, and loaded windows 10 edition, and we built this cool little house. It really wasn’t much, but I was proud. Just a few weeks ago, my mum told me that we had to go to my cousins house. I saw the one who I had introduced minecraft to playing it on her iPad. She was on her first survival world that she had made decent progression on. She exitedly showed me how she had found a cave and had worked up the courage to mine a few iron ore, and had made a picaxe from iron. She was so proud of it, she held it like a trophy. She then asked me a question that brought a tear to my eye. “Snek, did you know that if you name a sheep Jeb_, it turns rainbow?” This game is beautiful. 3: minecraft lite and old pocket edition. I would often go to my Nans house when I was around 7-8 every weekend, I still do now but only once a fortnight, and since there wasn’t much for me to do she let me play minecraft lite on her iPad. She never spent any money on it, she claimed it to be dangerous. At the time, I had my heart set on being a plumber, and I would find swamps and make canals out of the water. When I had played minecraft with my cousins for a while, my parents finally let me buy it on my iPad. I would go and sit at the table after dinner and play on my survival world. I was so clueless though, since all I did was use top tier weapons against modded bosses or build awsome houses in creative, I didn’t know to smelt iron. I had this beautiful home made of lots of blocks, there was a hill behind where I was too scared to explore, and a forest I would never go into. I kept building more layers to my house out of everything I had, but I knew cutting down trees was wrong so I only did it for tools. I remember digging a staircase to bedrock and using all the coal to make blocks for my base. Wow. This comment has been an emotional storm through nostalgia city. I have shared my minecraft story, you should too. You may truly not care at all, this comment was huge, but I love thinking back on all the memories I had. Thanks mojang, for making my childhood.
My first game was on survival, I have made a house with wood (staircase was not in the game at this time) I was scared to go on the cave so I was mining cobble in a small area with a lot of Redstone because I was scared, the night was so scary for me, and I was with a leather armor with cobble sword
I especially remember playing Minecraft on console for the first time, and I was so excited to play multiplayer. I got the game during the PSN network breach when the PS4 just launched, which kinda sucked, but after a month or so I was finally able to play multiplayer. For a little child I would call myself insane at redstone, I was really nerdy with it and knew all the names of circuits. I became known for having like 80 different Minecraft mini game worlds, ranging from a sand throwing game to Mario kart. I also had a couple survival worlds too. Most importantly though, I played with my online friend every day for about 3-4 years until I moved on to a different game.. I’ve tried to message him back but he doesn’t respond. Miss those days…
Hopefully minecraft will never die but evolve, it is such a simple yet complex game with everything from building insane builds to doing months of research and building (the pc in minecraft made out of only redstone is a good example). There is even the moding comunity which is INSANELY HUGE with iconic mods such as crazycraft, stoneblocks, skyblock, one block, RL craft, hexxit, pixelmon, sky factory, insane craft, FTB, forever stranded and many more big modpacks or even smaller quality of life mods. Minecraft shall not DIE.
Same though. I listen to this and think back to a time where I could always have fun and build whatever I wanted. Now I just can’t experience that like I used too.
We played, we tried We laughed, we cried We succeeded, we died We respawned and thrived From the zombies, to the endermen From the skeletons, to the pigmen From the spiders and creepers And from those annoying griefers From the biomes of jungles to sands To the mushrooms and other obscure lands From the snow and ice To the swamps which never looked too nice From moments with friends we’ll cherish From a time we hoped Herobrine would perish From the great animations To the UA-cam sensations Along with those musical incantations I thank Mojang for creating my childhood Much better than just ‘good’ I think I speak for everyone here When I say this is not game of the year It’s the game of the century As it offered us with plenty And these memories will never leave Just like the thought of first playing as Steve So I say close your eyes And listen to the music with surprise As your memories of Minecraft were once apart But now can be fixed like a broken heart In order to find your memories core You must go back to the world of Minecraft once more And defeat the Ender Dragon one last time As the sweet sounds of your childhood begin to chime

I hope that in the future the golden ages are never forgotten; no matter how many updates have passed and no matter how many updates to come, the era of our glorious childhoods, all those hours after school on our Xbox’s, adding ‘five more minutes’ to the timer, watching streams and series’s for hours on end, enjoying maps and worlds, new friends, old friends, and trying to beat the game as fast as possible is never forgotten; it will live on here, in our hearts, minds, and UA-cam watch history. Keep going, don’t be afraid of change, and embrace what has happened and what is to come in the near future.
Why isn't anyone acknowledging the fact that these were all made by C418. That man has so much talent. I honestly hope he never stops making the soundtrack for this beautiful game.
Uhh, how do I say this. He isnt anymore, but dont worry. He still makes music. Im fact he made music prior to minecraft. You should check his other works out.
I always liked how music was just random... You could mine some caves looking for resources and suddenly after hearing just stone breaking sound for minutes, some of these beautiful songs started and it really felt great every time
This didn't make me cry, it just made me feel very nostalgic. This game was and is my childhood and I can relive the memories that I've created with my dearest friends, from survival single player worlds, to SMPs, and then servers such as Hypixel, Cubecraft, and so much more. Thank you for making this composition, I needed this today.
Why is noone gonna talk about how decent he plays at piano and how those minecraft music that he plays sounds almost the exact same thing as the original.
He also plays the original soundtrack in the background for reference for the listener if they don’t directly recognize it. But other than that, yes. It sounds exactly like it. He played great. (Not to mention that most minecraft songs are literally played on/made for/from the piano so that helps too) :)
I will forever respect Minecraft as not only an amazing game, but apart of my childhood. This game is one of the reasons I miss being a kid, being able to just explore and enjoy life. I will forever, love Minecraft for being apart of not only my childhood, but everyone’s. Thank you Notch for making a game that would be a childhood memory forever.
Minecraft. A game where we can turn to for comfort. A game that has been with most of us since the very beginning. A game that will never cease to end, but instead will grow. A game that is filled with happiness and grief. With strife and reward. I truly thank you Pacil for creating this miscellany of nostalgic music. Again, I truly thank thee.
Minecraft has such a unique sound to its tracks, each one seemingly steeped in a melancholy nostalgia that can’t help but warm your heat and bring a tear to the eye at the same time. The simple piano melodies backed by soft strings on an echoey stage evokes the feelings of memories calling out, those moments ever living on in our minds. It’s as if the music itself is relating to the memories players make within the game. Bittersweet to look back on happier times, yet the memories and builds we created still remain
Haggstorm just holds a special place in my heart. Memories of flying around in the rain in creative mode. That’s my favourite but all of Minecraft’s music captures the essence not of the game but of childhood. Also this has got to be such a weird comment section for anyone who didn’t play in their childhood. Also yes subwoofer lullaby is great. It’s the song that would play after the sun comes up after the first night. The new music is good but it’s just not the same…
I barely cry at anything anymore, but this.... this is my childhood, and it's great to relive every second of it. It's been great playing minecraft from the beginning in 2013.
Same man... Minecraft nostalgia is the only thing that can make me truly cry for moments... I have been playing since 2013 too, I cant explain how great Minecraft is... There is no word in wikipedia that can explain the ultimate greatness of Minecraft... Truly heart warming in every way possible...

Wet hands and especially Sweden bring back the memories of building a military base at single player mode, of me barely being able to build a noob hut while my brother built an entire modern villa for me, of the days I’d build a bedrock chamber and spawn almost 100 chickens and watch them all get slaughtered by a single ocelot. And when I heard that they added a ton of features over the 3-4 years I haven’t played, I silently hoped that they wouldn’t keep adding stuff until it becomes a shell of the game we all love. And I just want them to be careful with their updates so that doesn’t happen. I hope we won’t have to show this game to our kids. I hope that THEY will show it to US, and that the game will never truly die.💖
Im not even done with middle school, yet I'm almost crying just reminiscing of the treasured times I had. When I started the game back up there were so many new things, and I didnt like it at first. I hope that THEY will show it to US, and that the game will never truly die." Jesus I need to stop crying
I was slowly starting to play less frequently, then at some point, I stopped playing for like 2 years, I was burnt out of the game, but I would still watch Minecraft videos on UA-cam. I then came back to the game, got bored again, then quit for like another 6 months, thinking I would never really enjoying playing again, and would only enjoying watching others play it. I did play in 1.13-1.16, but rarely. But then ever since Caves and Cliffs was announced, I just couldn’t help myself. I didn’t play as much in 1.17 as I would’ve, because I wasn’t expecting the update to be split, and was a little disappointed, but ever since 1.18 was released, I’ve been playing often. Not nearly as much as I used to, but I’m finally having fun playing it again. I remember playing all the time when I was young. I would play it on my Xbox 360 in the living room with my brother. I even remember my first ever world. It was a jungle, and there was a jungle temple nearby. It was a Creative world because I was too scared to play Survival, and I also just wanted to build stuff. Minecraft will always have a place in my heart. I don’t think I could ever completely abandon the game. I grew up with Minecraft, it was the only thing I would ever talk about. I would tell people what I built at School, or the cool things I discovered. Thank you Mojang, my life wouldn’t be the same without you
"We didn't know we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun..." Thank you minecraft. For being the game we can call a part of our childhood. When we farmed loot from nether reactor cores... When we were just having fun...

Even though I never played Minecraft when I was a child, this still brings me back to when I was an innocent child and all I could worry about was nothing and everyone was happy, then it all crashed when my grandmother died, she was my best friend, I realized then I had no family besides my parents and my sister and a few other relatives. So just listening to Minecraft music makes me remember of those times and that my grandmother is in a better place now. Thank you youtube for reccomending this to me and for everyone else who made a video of nostalgic Minecraft music.

I feel like Wet Hands is maybe one of the best piano pieces in piano history, not game music. It's more than game music. It gives me hope that still there is good in this world. It calms my mind. It's magic, honestly
i remember the first time i got xbox gold on the 360 and updated my game i was so excited for emeralds, the times spent building glowstone houses and makeshift castles, the things i would do to play on those worlds again, i remember playing the og tutorial and finding glitches to beat it early and i remember breaking though the walls around the spawn area, minecraft is something i'd like to call childhood.
This didn’t make me cry but it made me remember all the past worlds I had with my friends and knowing that everything in my worlds are gone it brings me joy to know I had experienced it, hopefully I can play this wonderful game again
We took our childhood for granted and then we grew up. You start to realize that things will never be the same and people that you once loved or knew won’t be there forever. Everything seems much closer when your a kid.
This is true.. I'm 19 and I grew up on nothing but minecraft. I met so many people on minecraft that now I only have a blurred remembrance of. Oh how peaceful it was then. Not a worry in the world. Then I couldn't wait to grow up.. now I regret it.
The memories 😭😭😭 Whilst I may not play Minecraft anymore, I will always have a special place in my heart for it, especially the music. Now if you dont mind, I need a tissue
At first, the game's music doesn't seem to fit in very well with the game's content, but it takes on meaning when you've played it for years, and many of the experiences have been alongside this game. Music connects to your memories in an intense way.
Even tho people may laugh at the Minecraft music, it’s so good once you listen to it for real. It’s honestly very emotional music that I feel fits Minecraft’s whole story perfectly 👌

The worst part about Minecraft is that most of us will never be able to experience anything like the experience we got playing it for the first time Or even just playing it on your ps or xbox360 or whatever.

This brought me to remember many things, and think of even more…
1: my first time playing minecraft.
You may truly not care at all, this comment was huge, but I love thinking back on all the memories I had.

i started playing in 2020 or 2021 btw i love your comment and i do care
My first game was on survival, I have made a house with wood (staircase was not in the game at this time) I was scared to go on the cave so I was mining cobble in a small area with a lot of Redstone because I was scared, the night was so scary for me, and I was with a leather armor with cobble sword
Is your name really snek?!

Just accept it, those days are over, but it shaped you into who you are today, and it’s led you to remember your childhood fondly.

bro I remembered just now, I really wanted a cat, so I went on my old apple Ipad, and found out how to tame one, I loved him so much, so I made a house in creative, and then started living in survival.
The thought of remembering my first dog just made my face just shrink in sadness

I'm so sorry to hear that, may she rest in peace 🙏
I'm sorry for your loss
But that's what happened to me first my great pop it hurt but I still kept going happy
Then like 2 months later my pop who I was realy close to
Then another 2 months my great uncle so all the losses in such a short span made me get anxiety never been the same since
@MineStingsCraft yes
My grandma died a month and a half ago. I feel your pain I hope you feel at peace now
I feel like Wet Hands is maybe one of the best piano pieces in piano history, not game music.

I've never heard anyone laugh at Minecraft music before.

The worst part about Minecraft is that most of us will never be able to experience anything like the experience we got playing it for the first time Or even just playing it on your ps or xbox360 or whatever.
I used to play it with my neighbors on my ps4, the version was like 1.13 and these songs give me so much nostalgia because I have moved and my neighbors that I played with are gone.
