I've been a fan since I first heard Spät-Europa in the early eighties. Still love the early "pop music" experiments the best, but all of his work is always challenging and ear expanding.
I discovered Asmus Tietchens several years ago and he is high on my list of sound pioneers. Great video contrasting the wide-open space of the ocean (nature) and the claustrophobic enclosed space of the submarine (man made).
its amazing how the sound fullfills soul with this deep psychosubstance and turns you into a deep mental trance where technical instruments, expression of human rationalism and intellection look so cold and build distance to the human being itself
