If I remember correctly there is no bulb for that, you plug their wires into the stock bulb housing so it's w.e. they already have on there but I had no issues with not being in sync
I installed my raptor style grill with amber lights and alpharex headlights this weekend. I spliced my raptor lights into factory amber light harness. Everything seems to work fine except for the arrow on my dash. It hyper flashes when signaling left but doesn't do it when signaling right. Did you have this issue? Did I miss something? I know there is more load on that part of the system but not sure what to do.
I would think it would actually be the opposite. LEDs sometimes tend to cause that due to requiring less power than halogen so the truck thinks the bulb it out but with the raptor lights added it'd be more power so that shouldnt cause it. Have you made sure all other lights are working on the driver side? Turns, parking,, lows/highs, fogs and rear turns, brake and back up. If all bulbs are good and you would like to remove the hyperflash you can through forscan
I've got the same raptor grill light kit as your and just ordered these alpha rex headlights. Did you ever figure out the problem of the 1 plank not working like the other
When you go to high beam does the low beam stay on too? Reason I ask is I got 4 of the Hikari H7 bulbs that you used. I am hoping that was the right thing to do, but if the TOP H7 bulb cuts off and the bottom cuts on at high beam then it is essentially the same... Right?
Mine stay on yes because I changed that in forscan awhile back. You are correct in the highs and lows are the same h7s and whenever I do change the highs I'll order the same.
Hey man, did your headlights come with the bulbs that “clip” in? Like the old school style...or did they come with the bulbs that can be screwed out and in. I ordered these headlights and got LED aftermarket H7 bulbs from f150leds and they don’t fit because my headlights have the clip in bulbs instead of screwing in. Just curious what your thoughts are. Thank you for your time. Love the channel!
yes they clip in, so do the F150LEDS, those are the bulbs i have now. if your saying they screw in then either you didnt specify you needed h7s when ordering or they sent the wrong ones. now i will say those bulbs are horrible to try to get in there. i had to partially set the bulb in, put the clip piece around thr bulb and push/slide both down at once.
@@WICKEDAUTO1 hmmm... Well my dad and I both tried to get them to work and we just thought there was no way at all they would fit. I did specify the H7 aftermarket but the fan on the back is so big it won't even think about going down into the housing. On my label I got from f150LED it says aftermarket H7. I think they may have sent me the wrong one maybe.. .but everything on the order had the right stuff. The back of my housing has the clip that you have to pinch to get it to release and when we went to put the new LED bulb in it was to big to even slide down in the housing. I just figured that ALPHAREX gave me an outdated headlight. I can't find a youtube video anywhere that shows exactly how to put them in or what they look like out of the box or anything so I feel like I'm going into this completely blind lol. Thanks so much for helping and answering my questions.
The ones I have right now you set in and twist... I need the ones that set in and you push down with the spring and clip. I think they sent the wrong ones.

We were using needle nose as well and my Dad and I both couldn't get it down. The hole its self wasn't big enough. They were suppose to go down and twist into place. They had the little titties on them and everything. I don't think they sent the right ones but who knows lol. I will look over your video and watch it. What a mess lol
i have the alpharex pros...the sequential feature is absolutley cooler looking makes it look high end...i was going to comment on the drl but i noticed at the end of the video you put the relay on...looks awesome bro...love the truck!! had a question on the hikari led, are they all the same setup with that plug on the back ? or is there a certain type to buy with the alpharex?
Question, I installed mine without the harness. Do you see it possible to install the harness without tearing the front end apart? Yours are definitely brighter and I need that. Lol
Eh it is probably possible maybe but would be a super pain in the ass. You would have to find a way to grab the tiny little wire on the back to plug it into the harness
Another? For you. I installed my rex pro's a couple of days ago with the harness for the full brightness but driving during the day its hard to tell if the drl planks are on or not. Especially compared to other vehicles with drl planks which are obviously on and super bright. Do you also have this issue??
do you have the MK5s from F150 LEDs? Im assuming they will fit into the Alpharex housing? Also do you recommend me getting the harness? Im looking to install this myself and have never done anything like it so im nervous im going to mess something up or not have the right parts
I have the F150LEDS bulbs now and absolutely love them. They are a pain to get in due to Alpharex design but its possible and worth it!! Not sure what you mean about getting a harness though
@@WICKEDAUTO1 I guess my question is does the harness make that big of a difference for the brightness on the DRL? Will the DRL stay on during the daytime if I have my lights switch to Auto? @@marktirondola5555 yep mine are on at all times. I think it made a noticeable difference in brightness hooking up the harness plus it's really not difficult at all, you just plug it in the only extra piece you need is the add a fuse

After looking over the multitude of options for headlight upgrades for my 2020 F150, I will probably go a similar route. I checked out the product description on Amazon, and for me, there's one major reason to go with the base model. The sequential turn signals I can live with, but that stupid start up sequence that you get with the upgraded models is ridiculous. For those of you who are familiar with alpharex headlights, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I'm not installing anything on my truck that screams "Knight Rider". As far as the morimoto's, I'll pass on that. Agree with the uploader. Things are ugly af. The one nice thing about this setup is they're serviceable, with the exception of the planks, I'd assume. One of your LED's burns out, you just replace it. I'm pretty sure that the high end morimoto or alpharex LED projectors do not have serviceable headlight bulbs. You lose a high or low beam, you're buying a new assembly. These headlight assemblies don't break the bank, so you'll have some cash left over if you wanna do an LED upgrade.
WickedF150 awesome thanks! I think i'll try Hikari since the f150 LED's are so expensive with the frame rate, did you need that canbus thing with your hikari or just plug and play? I dont mind if they're a little dim i just dont want and hyper flash or flicker

WickedF150 ahh I gotcha. I have the normal h11 in my factory housing. About to get the alpharex so makes sense. Thank you. And the plank harness comes with the headlights correct ?

Did you ever figure out the problem of the 1 plank not working like the other
Both sides are to do it, once I hooked up the harness they both did it.
Sow you can fit the same leds on Low & High Beam?
Thanks, I definitely want the same ones you have for mine

There's my video on the F150LEDS, does sound like you got the right ones. They are extremely difficult to get thr clip around. Like I said partially put the bulb in, put the clip around the bulb then push/slide them both down. Definitely need needle nose to try n get that clip in place. Took about 1.5hrs to get the bulbs in for me lol
@@WICKEDAUTO1 I just don't see how they will go. The ones I have won't even fit in the hole. I know what you mean with the clip I think. We were using needle nose as well and my Dad and I both couldn't get it down. The hole its self wasn't big enough. They were suppose to go down and twist into place. They had the little titties on them and everything. I don't think they sent the right ones but who knows lol. I will look over your video and watch it. What a mess lol

where did you get your led grill lights? Everyone sells amber, but the white looks awesome.
Custom auto works but I'll sell you mine, have an stx grill now and cant use it.
Are the high and low beams the same with this bulb? Like if I want both high and low beam leds do I just need to purchase another pair of the hikaris?
Yes both bulbs are h7s. I would go with F150LEDS actually. That's what I have now and they are amazing!!!
i have the alpharex pros...the sequential feature is absolutley cooler looking makes it look high end...i was going to comment on the drl but i noticed at the end of the video you put the relay on...looks awesome bro...love the truck!! had a question on the hikari led, are they all the same setup with that plug on the back ? or is there a certain type to buy with the alpharex?
Hi, does the wiring harness comes with the headlights or did you bought it and where? Thanks!

Hey what harness are you talking about I wanna make my white lights brighter?
The wires that come with them that you need to hook up to the add a fuse
Question, I installed mine without the harness. Do you see it possible to install the harness without tearing the front end apart? Yours are definitely brighter and I need that. Lol
Eh it is probably possible maybe but would be a super pain in the ass. You would have to find a way to grab the tiny little wire on the back to plug it into the harness
Another? For you. I installed my rex pro's a couple of days ago with the harness for the full brightness but driving during the day its hard to tell if the drl planks are on or not. Especially compared to other vehicles with drl planks which are obviously on and super bright. Do you also have this issue??
@@lr9137 to a degree, the planks are so white that it is difficult to tell. I believe its because they are colored white while other are clear.

I believe mine is a 5 and used a 10amp fuse from the box. 74 others have had better luck with 78 for w.e. reason as well
@@WICKEDAUTO1 I've heard fuse 36 or 10 from someone at alpharex. That's good I'll stick with my 5 amp and then pull a 10 amp fuse

Housings yes absolutely, the bulbs no I wasnt, F150leds is the way to go!
WICKEDRIDESZ what would you recommend for new bulbs?
Random question about your wheels and tires. Are the wheels the stock sport edition and what size tires are on them? Thank you.
Yes, 18in rims with 295/70/18 with 1/2in spacer
WickedF150 thank you. Great videos!!
I just bought these headlights was wondering what fuse you tapped into?
I believe I used 74, it's for the trailer tow back up lamps so nothing important would be messed up if it blew
Might be a dumb question but can i buy the same Hikari H7's for high and low beams? Or are high and low 2 different brightness's?
Nope just any h7 bulb for either will work, theres no difference between them just how they are aimed in the housing
WickedF150 awesome thanks! I think i'll try Hikari since the f150 LED's are so expensive with the frame rate, did you need that canbus thing with your hikari or just plug and play? I dont mind if they're a little dim i just dont want and hyper flash or flicker
@@habsexperiance5548 these ones I had for a bit didnt flicker at all but if your not going to get F150LEDS I'd suggest auxbeam over hikari. I forgot to say it’s during the day only, the low beams are off but the fog lights are on along with the led strip. At night everything works correctly
So I got the same Alpharex how difficult to install the LED is it plug n play
Yes, it is the same as changing any bulb
How are these bulbs holding up so far?
Got rid of those after probably a month. They werent bad but I did have a line up the middle of the road where they didnt shine
WICKEDF150 you went back to halogens?
Quick question: In one of the comments you said you used fuse #97 but the instructions say to use #36. Can you confirm that you used #97?
I actually used #74, it's for trailer tow back up lamps. 36 is vehicle power and I'm not comfortable tapping into something so important
So what do the headlight bulbs plug into being they aren’t the normal plugs ?
Im confused by what your asking... the bulbs themselves? It's the same as any headlight bulb, they plug into the wires inside the housing. Many manufacturers use different size bulbs they still plug into wires inside
WickedF150 ahh I gotcha. I have the normal h11 in my factory housing. About to get the alpharex so makes sense. Thank you. And the plank harness comes with the headlights correct ?
@@Matthewg-yn9vx yes that's part of the housing itself

That is a good point...my stock housing was extremely tight with LEDs but these have sooo much room. You will see when you get a set, there is absolutely no worry with the room. But no they do have a fan. I wouldnt buy a fan less LED for the heat.
