Half of BYD’s cars sold were PHEV’s not BEV.
Look at BEV’s only and Tesla out sold BYD.

Thats true. But PHEV‘s are also with batteries built in. At the end of the day, BYD has outsold Tesla, even though their cars didnt even hit markets abroad outside of china yet.
      Imagine them selling worldwide now.
      Going to be interesting

@@The.Futurist PHEV’s are losing market share rapidly because they have an ICE in them and ICE is dying rapidly in the first world markets. They’re even losing market share in China.
We should never count PHEV in with BEV, they just don’t matter.
They’re also very inefficient as well.

no BYD LFP has caught fire ( there not one recorded case of LFP catching fire in BYD EVs in the ~12 years they being in production) .. only a very few BYD ternary lithium batteries have .. Tesla has had far more electric car fires then BYD has had.. Tesla currently has an average of 2 vehicles a week catching fire. BYD might have that for a the year( in relation to battery fires) , even though BYD has far more EVs( and varriants ) on the road then tesla does . as BYD produces very few lithium ternary batteries for its EVs. most of Tesla batteries are lithium ternary batteries. which are far far more likely to catch fire. LFP are nearly impossible to catch fire. other them perhaps a dead short. and even then the battery is unlikely to catch fire. it be all the electric cabling that catches fire. not likely the battery.

But at the end if the car catches fire, it doesn’t matter if it were the battery or cables. The result remains the same

@@The.Futurist -- no it is not.- you said in your video BYD LFP batteries were catching fire, that is two different things . the only Case i know in the media of a BYD LFP car catching fire even related to the electrical system . was one that struck a tree at high speeds caused an electrical short in the 12 volt system and the carpet or something caught fire in the cabin of the car.. that's a big difference then your EV sitting in your garage and then the battery spontaneously exploding into flames like Tesla's are known to do, burning down your house and everything you own ( there are many many example of that in the media and still happening today) . NO - BYD LFP EV has ever caught fire like that. the only fires associated with BYD LFP EV's are Normal operational fires attributed to wear and tear, that affect all types of vehicles , ie: brake fires, bearing fires. and electrical fires related to loose or shorted connections. a BYD EV's by statistics are a +1000x less likely to catch fire then Tesla's are .
