The Spicy East Coast Italian is the best. I am not a mayonnaise guy as a kid I couldn’t even look at it without being queasy , now I like a little bit on certain sandwiches & can even eat a tuna sandwich. But JJ’s Mayo is to die for. I would never mix Mayo with Italian Dressing but at JJ’s it is perfect . I’m currently residing in the Bay Area & JJ’s are few & far between here but I go home to So Cal every 2 weeks & on the way from the airport to home I always stop at my favorite Jimmy Johns !
I agree completely, the spicy east coast is awesome. I normally add extra jimmy peppers for a little extra kick. I could eat this sandwich every day and never get tired of it
I had their veggie, cheese & avocado sub this summer while vacationing in Indy, and it was delicious! Nothing spicy or greasy to bring on a case of "traveler's tummy", either (which would have been a potential problem at most other fast-food places).
The J. J. Gargantuan with extra oil & vinegar is the best sandwich on the menu. Always buy two. One to eat and the other to sit in the fridge overnight. It lets the flavors marry together. ✌️
If you have ever worked at Jimmy Johns while slicing the meat, that roast beef is great straight off the slicer. When it sits out for hours it loses flavor.

If you love JJs Ultimate Porker, check out modifying that Cubano. There's not only sn extra piece of bacon, there's cheese on it which youd pay an extra buck for on a UP.
A few thoughts: 1) Substitute capicola for the bacon on the Jimmy's Cubano to make it taste closer to a real Cuban sandwich. 2) Stay away from the tuna if you don't like onions. JJ's tuna is loaded with them, as I learned the hard way. 3) Hard disagree on Mashed picking the chocolate chip cookie over the oatmeal raisin. The CC cookie has a very weird taste to it; for the life of me I can't figure out what it is. And I don't know what Mashed is talking about when they say the OR cookies are dry; they've always been chewy for me.
Wow! I find it hard to believe their roast beef is that disgusting. I think you gave a very biased review of their subs. I have never eaten there before but you sure came down hard on them. All the pictures show a huge amount of food on the sub rolls compared to anywhere else I've seen. I have always eaten subs at SubWay but since they dropped roast beef I'll have to try Jimmy Johns.
You repeatedly say “just make it at home, it will taste the same” without ever mentioning a word about the bread, which literally everyone agrees is what makes jj’s stand out and so popular. so all of these opinions are moot. and yeah the bread really is that good haha

Not sure what the hell you’re talking about I run a Jimmy Johns franchise and I’ve had every single sandwich you could ever get, and you’re rankings of this is totally off base, have you actually even had anything there, the roast beef is easily one of the most popular meat options and the tuna if made properly is amazing
Bootlegger no tomatoes add cheese & oil/vinegar on the side. My second go to is country club no tomatoes add cheese & grey poupon. Both w/ regular jimmy chips!
I agree with the roast beef, I don’t agree with the tuna. There tuna is some of the best at sub chains. Also I don’t agree with the oatmeal raisin cookie. I never liked oatmeal raisin cookie prior to trying there’s, it’s so good

Jimmy Mustard is the best. Add it to any of the Turkey or roast beef and you get a delicious flavor. Club Lulu, add cheese, Jimmy Mustard and Jimmy Peppers and its a party in your mouth!
Jimmy John's used to be my sub shop of preference. These days it just sucks. At least the ones in my town suck. The Beach club was always my favorite, but that was back when Jimmy John's was "freaky fast." Now they're just freaky.
I think you're very wrong about the tuna. That's the reason why I go to Jimmy John's. Also the one that I go to does not put celery in it whereas the picture that you showed looked like it had celery.
I was a delivery driver at the cary store and the manager gave me his pin, so everyday after work I'd change my mileage and tips to come out to 100$ a day. I did this for 2 years and never got caught. Not once. Plus I stole 4 cookies a day to give to my friends. Plus I made at least 2 sandwiches a day. Jj is all trash. Trust me. No one washed thier hands
And yes, the #5 Vito is one of my favorites. I worked at JJ years ago at a very highly ranked store. We had a phrase “tasting is believing” and we would send people out of the store sometimes for “guerrilla marketing” where we would give free 1/3 length sandwiches (back when there was only one size) to anyone in our strictly enforced 5-minute corporate-designated delivery zone. This was our way of getting new customers. We would typically make very large orders for an area university football team, a medical school, a bank, and a hospital. One of our regulars always ordered an as-is #3 Totally Tuna with bacon (bread out, lettuce filling the cavity, 4 slices tomatoes and 4 slices cucumber on the flat side, 1 standard scoop of JJ celery-onion-mayo-tuna salad, and 3 slices pre-cooked Oscar Meyer style bacon). As I said above, this is a magnificent sandwich, so order it and try it. Pro tip: If you attempt to make JJ tuna salad at home, the standard ingredients are finely diced celery and onion, Starkist brand tuna in airtight bags, and Hellmann’s real mayonnaise (accept no substitutions). The salad is mixed and kept in a straining apparatus so liquid drawn from the veggies collects underneath. This makes the salad less salty and less moist, so it won’t make the bread soggy during your promised 15 minutes or less delivery. The vinaigrette is a 3:1 ratio of neutral oil to red wine (not balsamic) vinegar with a little salt, like 2 teaspoons per squirt bottle. At my store, we used Heinz RWV and any brand (I think usually Wesson? But it doesnt matter.) of vegetable oil. Shake vigorously before drizzling. The oregano basil blend is 5:1 (for large quantities we used at the store, 24:5) dried oregano to dried basil. Always make any dried herbs, especially basil, that you use smell fresh. If it smells metallic or absent, throw it away and go to the store.
Would rather have a wrapped sandwich, and I don't mean wrap it in lettuce. More like in a tortilla. Regular subs hit you with good flavor from the open side and disappoint you with bites of mostly bread from the closed side. Wrap it up and get the same from every bite.
As a jimmy johns employee, I've found my creation to be in my opinion the best sandwich choice if you like roast beef and turkey. Get a number ten hunters club with ez lettuce and ez mayo (no tomatoes if you don't like them) then ask for a single serving of turkey to be added (that'll cost an extra 2 dollars) then get the oil and vinegar added and the basil and oregano added (you can also add hot peppers for a nice kick if you want) and then ask for 2 sides of kickin ranch to dip your sandwich in Edit: just watched the first minute of the video and I will not take this roast beef slander. Idk where yall are going but the one I work at has the best roast beef ever Edit 2: BTW the totally tuna does have onions because the tuna salad is made with 1 and a half pounds of onions
Actually I like both the cookies but the chocolate chip I pick more often. The oatmeal one has molasses in it which may be why some people don't care for it. #9 Italian Night Club and #10 Hunter's Club are my picks.
Why keep saying "you can make this t home?" You are going out.not eating at home. And one can't dispute that the cukes make a perfect crunch to offset the mushy tuna. Roast beef shouldn't taste like it's been infused with salt and MSGish seasonings, which makes it taste great--less is more.
I still like the lower-tier subs there personally but my biggest problem with JJs is that they don't have a lot of sauces. I couldn't get honey mustard, for example, and that's a big deal for me.
You put the Vito #1 way ahead of the Italian Night Club? I'm sorry, you fail. The Italian Night Club costs only a dollar more, has more meat, and is a way better sandwich. If it's too big for you, just have them take the bread out. They do that by default on all their original subs, but the larger ones they leave the bread in. And I don't know about your local JJ's, but the tuna salad at the one near me is amazing. No, it isn't your typical tuna salad, but it's still darn good.

If it doesn’t have bacon, it’s not really a “club sandwich”, no matter what they think.
You have said nothing about their breads. I think their multi-grain, wheat bread adds a lot to any sandwich which is rather bland on white bread.
I only order the #16 with cheese and onions. Everything else sucks ass
My three favorites are apparently the worst I guess
The 10 is my favorite...
Bootlegger is wayyy too low
Gargantuan Ultimate porker no tomatoes extra lettuce extra cucumbers extra sprouts add cheese extra oregano lite oil with kickin ranch thinny chips and a large Arnold Palmer no ice 2 oatmeal raisin cookies
Sounds great!
Also cut in half
The Garg with sooo much should not be as good as it is but yum! Minus onion and tomato ewww of course.
This woman must hate roast beef. I don't agree with most of her opinions. My two favorite sandwiches are roast beef (delicious every time!) and tuna salad (my "last wish" meal). 😊
