MBS should be ousted by F1…F1 don’t need the FIA no more. Just rename it GP1

Excellent job Cameron in increasing the scrutiny of the misdeeds of the FIA head MBS.His actions of purging honest and competent leadership from FIA along with his ongoing attempts to turn FIA into a kleptocracy cannot continue. There obviously needs to be a change of leadership of the FIA along with the having active independent oversight of FIA beyond the court of arbitration for sport.I would suggest an excellent replacement for MBS would be former Alpine team principle Otmar Szafnauer. The historical and logical objection in electing former team principals to head FIA is latent former team bias, which was a critique of Jean Todt during his tenure as the head of the FIA.I think in Otmar Szafnauer’s case there will not be any favouritism or preference directed towards the Renault/Alpine F1 team. The nefarious ongoing actions by MBS cannot and should not continue.

@@lexkonig2234 Are you naive, no politics in sport, History shows you that never happens. Even in Grand Prix and F1 'Silver Arrows/ Auto Union' Ferrari? and recently Andretti appealing to congress to be included. Or is it just anything 'rent free' by Hamilton? No dont answer . I know already!

F1 needs to hire ex drivers to help run it as ex drivers know how the sport works and would do things to benefit the sport of f1

It makes sense, so why don’t they do it? They probably have, but I bet they don’t want to get involved, as even the most popular choice will be heavily scrutinised and are still subject to the FiA.

And Cameron you are one of the best F1 commentators, if not the best. It is just a matter of time before your name will be there where it should belong in F1. Keep on your good work and good eye. You speak the truth and nothing but the truth...

Just wait until the next embarrassment. F1 and it's shareholders and stakeholders would be wise to fix the FIA situation before it blows up in their faces with a dumb, unnecessary embarrassment occurring on track.

I don’t care if this is controversial or not, why is Liberty and/or F1 hiring someone like MBS who comes from a place where the values are completely different to where the sport wants to be heading towards???

  • @JeanneJames

Eddie Jordan was bitter about Ferrari on Lewis; I like to think you're all wrong though. I know you want to be wrong on this Cam. Toto and Lewis have made some protest against FIA, needs more people to boycott/protest to be effective. On that; Toto has agreed with MBS on sweargate and even suggested rules and punishment be in Merc contracts😱 If Toto agrees on ANY point, you'd think he'd keep his mouth shut so that his protest action had more weight. Head scratching.

Mohamed Bin Sulaem is not the problem. The problem is the F1 powers that still keep him at his job, they enable him to continue to underperform. If he is bad for the sport, then get rid of him.

Mohamed Bin Sulaem his family has ties with General Motors and it seems he is begging for money, in other words he is for sale. So there is a conflict of interest that GM Cadillac is entering the sport. Also the Investors in McLaren come from his Country and definitely want the FIA to squeeze an eye on Grey areas in the rules when it benefits on track. Let's hope this dude will leave the FIA A.S.A.P.

If Ben was a Politician or a world leader. Can you imagine the world if Ben ruled? F1 will not survive many years with that maniac in control of everything. Ben will also have his finger on the scale of who will win next year.. Toto likes it!!

FIA President Mohammed ben Sulayem (you need to spell out his full name so he can track the "hate" online) is so completely lost he doesn't understand why people dislike him so much, even though the only thing he seems to care about is what people think of him. False equivalencies galore.

  • @zlm001

$100,000,000 makes way more sense to me than $40,000,000. I know you've been saying forty million is too much, but in my mind it sounds the opposite. If the FIA is getting one hundred million dollars then they don't have any legs to stand on defending their poor performance.
If I had the money I'd put together a proposal to upgrade the regulation of F1, make the stewardship faster and better, and upgrade the technology used by the stewards. It's not impossibly, unimaginably difficult and it won't break the bank. The technology and roadmap already exists.

  • @-DarkFox-

Not going to lie, MBS pretty based with saying what he did about drivers and their activism. Shut up, drive the car. I don’t care or want to hear about an F1 driver’s politics. That said, his words on this contradict what he says about F1 drivers needing to be role models. No they don’t. They need to drive a car really fast. That’s it.

    • @OldmanNix

    • @-DarkFox-
      @-DarkFox- День тому +3

@ the restrictions are dumb, they should be allowed to say and do whatever they want. I’m saying that I don’t want to hear what some driver of a car thinks about geopolitical or social issues. They have no better perspective because they can hit an apex. In fact, they like Hollywood are typically less informed and far more out of touch than just a regular dude

They're public figures and should have the right to freedom of speech, not being allowed to speak on issues is also a form of politics, not a lack of it, a good example of the fia's hypocrisy is the inviting at the time presidental candidate trump to mclarens garage in miami

Yeah right if you question one of his decisions you are out, fired in a split second.
He rules like all arab states rule over their people.
I don't get it who put that thee towel in power of the fia whose roots are European?
You know it would be some kind of a director.
It's in their DNA,at least the rich ones.
    He's Arabic.
And no I am no racist nor trying to be one.
Just an F1 fan since the early '80s .
