Wish they added it as hydraulic break instead of metal wire. I have a Zero10X and it has two standard breaks with metal wire. It has to be adjusted so often and I decided to install Nutt hydraulic breaking set on it which is maintenance free basically
This is an excellent update. I believe there are 3 evolutions of this design remaining before perfection is achieved: 1) A professional model, with carbon fibre or titanium used for the wear and tear parts (throttle and KERS brake lever etc.) 2) Fully adjustable handles to allow for increased width 3) Fully adjustable KERS braking for greater regenerative/ stopping capability, similar to electric cars.
I have the 2019 Booster V 10.5 AH. This line has have three flaws. The levers are plastic. The accelerator level broke in my hand while riding after about 500 miles. The vibration and shock broke the plastic from within because the lever is always in the down position with hand pressure applied all the way to the back. The brake lever is only used used a fraction of the time of the accelerator lever. The lever should be made of carbon fiber or stainless steel. The second flaw is that the axle bolts at the front wheel are coveted with a plastic shroud or housing that broke on either side of my unit. When the scooter is folded down it becomes top heavy and will easy tip over sideways which was all it took to split the plastic. This bolt cover should be made of more rigid plastic or it should be made of shock absorbing rubber. The third flaw is that the rear light is very weak for such a robust scooter. I added a $10 LED light from Amazon and its 20x's brighter than the stock unit which obviously makes this an easy fix but makes it all the more bizarre that they didn't upgrade the light after so many versions of this scooter. And the fourth issue which isn't a flaw but a missed opportunity is that there are no side lights which would greatly improve safety. a nice strip of LEDs along the bottom of the scooter would have been nice. All that being said now that the GT 2020 has a mechanical rear brake and electronic front brake, along with 48V battery and weight under 30 lbs. makes it the best power to weight ratio scooter in this price range. Actually there arent many options that check those three boxes.
Also how can you change the speed power level while riding? So far I'm having to stop switch it off then pressing the break and switch on and go through the power levels if that makes sense ha!
Great Video, thanks, I cant see the price for the 2020 model, cant see it on preorder at PET either, do you know how much it will cost? apart from the Brake, have you see any real life increase in range?
AK hi, to pre-order you can email PET ( hello@personalelectrictransport.co.uk ) and you will be able to make your order directly and use my discount coupon “goelectriclife”. In regards to the range it will be the same as previous model, as the battery and motor powers is still the same. Thanks.
@@scooterlifelondon3093 But they claim that it now has a higher torque than the previous version which means the motor is indeed putting out more power. I wish they would actually list the torque figures though. It's hardly hard to measure.
I'm considering purchasing the 2020 GT as a second scooter. I have a 10 day old Dualtron Mini, but I'm looking for a lighter scooter which I can take into my local supermarket, rather than walk the 25 minutes each way. Also, I could carry it up the steps to my flat more easily than my Dualtron. I like the powerful motor the 2020 GT has, but the price is a bit off putting. My other choice for a second scooter would be the Speedway Leger. While not as light as the E - TWOW GT, it folds down to quite a small size, compared to my Dualtron. I won't be on the market for a new scoot for about 3 or 4 months. Which gives me some time to consider my options. My limit for my 2nd scoot would be around £1,000
Hari Sandhu Hi, I don’t think it will Be the scooter, as more powerful and bigger battery scooters don’t use that much electricity. Most of my scooters use about 4P hour. And worked out to be 1p per mile. Maybe it was something else.
Gara Von Hoiwkenzoiber hi thanks for the your question. Yes PET will have the parts to add the back brake however some modifications maybe need to make it work. There will be two options 1)FULL KIT - rear drum brake with the Electronic braking and 2)just the mechanical rear drum brake(with out the electronic braking). The Kit is not available yet, as the GT has not officially be released in stock(hoping for availability at the end of April)Thanks.
Mladen Spasinovici hi, thanks for your question. So at the moment, because the GT has not officially been released in stock, hopefully the new GT stock will be available at the end of April. Following that, hopefully the Brake Kit will also be officially released to be fitted to the GT 1.0. kind regards.
Peter L E-Twow scooters do have cruise control, this has to be set up in the menus setting within the screen, once set up, the cruise control will be activated by holding a consistent speed for a certain amount of time. As other escooters users have mentioned, this cruise control function should be used with caution, it is possible to lose control of the scooter causing a crash, especially when letting off the throttle thinking that you will slow down, however your speed will continue in cruise control. Thanks.
Nope, don't like it. Much prefer the Asthetics of the original, don't need a kickstand and don't like the look of it, could have been better incorporated. More wires, more to go wrong and more weight. Naaaaah. I've got the Zoom Stryder... With the slightly larger wheels and extra 50w the original GT is what I'd want.

Hi. Speedway. pro’s : it’s made my minimotors which is always a plus as they produce really good quality parts, it also means u will get a really sound from the motors, and a really nice eye 3 throttle. it’s also pretty’s small and leight(19kg) and does 30mph which usually more than fast enough especially on a scooter of this size. has a nice foot rest which is a nice touch( even though this scooter isn’t really torquey enough to need it) the only real down side of this scooter is it only has 1 rear brake, which on a 30mph scooter is not really good enough in my opinion. But overall defo a good scooter for the price and it’s package. I would defo choose the ledger over the GT purely Cus the GT runs on solids tyres, which are no good in the wet/slippy roads. another option would be the Zero 9, which has decent speed usually averaging 24mph most of the time , has dual braking, amazing lighting, fairly water resistant, u just need a mud guard flap extenders and has a max range of about 20 miles in top settings. in my opinion there isn’t really a down side of the zero 9(excerpt the handle bars tend to come lose, but will never drop). If the ledger had a front brake I would defo go for the ledger, as it’s more premium, and has more power and range however the zero 9 is more a complete package and beats the ledger with it’s amazing lighting and dual brakes. if you choose zero 9 and ur in UK I would defo get it from PET( discount code “goelectriclife”) who provide the best escooter service in the UK in my opinion. hope you find the perfect scooter for you :)
My 3 choices are... Speedway Leger, EMOVE Touring, and GT 2020. I will probably go for the GT 2020, (for it's light weight). But something new could come along, by the time I have enough funds to buy a second scoot

My only complaint I have with this scooter is those visible cables... hurts the eyes. I am sure there is space to tuck them inside.
I got the new gt se, but the safety switch to stop the scooter collapsing doesn't move, it's stuck in one position, is that right?

Can you still fold down the handle bars with the new brake in the position it is?
Tim Cowan-Lunn hi, yes the handle bars can still fold down no problem. Thanks.
Hey buddy can you please tell me how much it costs per charge in the UK? Iv brought one and my electricity bill has gone through the roof. :(

I just ordered a Apollo Explore 😎👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
No scooter is perfect but if they could manage to put pneumatic tires on it next time it will be. Thanks for the vid. Can't wait to get one in the US.
No cruise control...are you kidding me? Even $400 USD e-scooters have cruise control

I have another scooter with cruise control and it is really annoying. Good thing that E-TWOW doesn't have one.
