So clean, so pure, so balanced! The blend is phenomenal and just the musicality of each individual musician working cohesively as one, we Stan! Love this group so much!
My favorite all time motet…memories of touring Europe in my early twenties performing this piece flood back to me as tears well up in my eyes thinking of those wonderful times.
Phenomenal blend and a complete and unwavering balance between the voices, where each individual is thoroughly and successfully meshed into one magnificent product. I just close my eyes and take-in the beauty and splendor of VOCES8; whereas, larger vocal groups don't even come close to reaching this level of vocal perfection in their own performances. I can expect nothing less from this fine, fine, group of world-class vocalists. Thank you, VOCES8!
The Latin seems a little cumbersome but this is the best translation that I have found: 'blessed are they whose ways are blameless who walk according to the law of the LORD'. The singing of VOCES8 is quite lovely and compliments precisely Stanford's sublime setting of these words.
He's been gone from Voces8 for several years now but listen to Rob Clark -Baritone @ 2:41 wish he would have had more solo opportunities while he was with the ensemble.
I really do appreciate the male:female ratio of this group. So many choirs/ensembles are full of women, whose voices cut through the tone of an ensemble. They have an exquisite balance that is flexible and dynamic.
Magnificent! I first sang this as a boy chorister over 50 years ago. I loved it then, and I love it still!
Yehhh throwback to choirboy days!
I could say the same, Christopher. It brings back memories......

I cannot possibly imagine a better performance of this piece. You make England proud. ❤

Sang this in high school back in the 1970s. Brings back memories. Flawlessly done!
One can close their eyes and remain confident that these cats will provide every comfort. What a gorgeous choir...

One of the best pieces ever written. One of the best performances of this work. Bravo.

It is, indeed, clumsy, and causes me to wince every time I sing it.
Yes, St. Jerome really needs you to set him straight, that cumbersome dotard.
Yeah we had to move a couple things around to make it right so we hold an ah vowels instead of an eh or ee
One of the all-time greatest choral pieces in my book... great job...
Wave upon wave in the sea of music! This group of splendid musicians is my favorite one.
Mmmmm sooooo good. I love this piece. I'd love to hear you guys sing the Grieg Ave Maria Stella ❤️❤️
they have listened to you ...... >>>> ua-cam.com/video/FAZIP2b-ihY/v-deo.html

Magnificient. Absolutely enjoyed it!
Chorgesang in Vollendung!❤
You're simply the best, better than anyone. ..
Utterly exquisite.
Quite beautiful transporting us to another world - delightful balance amongst the voices - it gives hope to this life when such beauty can be achieved
Melts like butter in my 🥞. 👌🏻🥰

My favourite moment! I modelled my own singing on that exact moment when I was one of 2 baritones in a chamber choir 6 years ago.
Perfect ❤️
Atemberaubend ❤️
Amazing as always!
Spinetingling music
Superbly sung
Sungguh indah lagu ini didengarkan.Bolehkah saya mendapatkan teksnya.
Bravo my friends!!!
This gave my flashbacks to 2018 ILMEA, but this is so beautiful that I can’t help but to set aside my trauma and listen to this
District IX choral festival??
Beautiful!

Can we have the other two by Stanford too please?
Yes! Starting with Justorum Animae - such a great Stanford piece that doesn't get enough props!
Effortless beauty
Haunting....
Thank goodness I subbed long ago and get notifications!
Sublime!
SUPER !!!
sound like the flow of silk
Please sing this during High Mass!
Cryyyyyyy 😭😭😭😭😭
Retro line up! Nice. Where has Blake’s hair gone!?

Hey, look it's Call!
Is this a motet? A canon? Both?
An Anthem? or Motet!
Its like a gregorian chant almost
This is a beautiful piece, they just needed a little more bass!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I love❤️🇷🇺
the blonde is hot af
Needs more Bass I, especially since it's such a great part.
Written for S1, S2, A, T, B1, B2
I would like to hear more female voices in the line up here
As an alto girl, I feel weird to hear the altos here are males 😂
God preserve us from this sentimental rot.
Simple. Don’t listen to it if you don’t like it.
Ask anyone in the choral field and this song will be listed as one of the greatest pieces ever written
A fanatical anti-Christian edge here. There must be a nearby stake you can impale yourself on.
