Seconding this- I bought the makeup revolution a while back and good to know a value comparison. I’m still working my way through a large Milky makeup bronzer I found at TJ Maxx and with cream products having a shorter shelf life than powders the cost per ounce really is important to know.
essence has a new mascara primer that’s specifically made for a lasting curl! it’s called a “curl fixing lash base” that’s formulated for asian lashes, becoming popular in asian mascaras. i want to try that out 😮
I appreciate you talking about the cost per ounce relative to value because lately I find myself buying more prestige/higher-end products (especially for things I run through fairly quickly or use every day) because doing the math on the drugstore options means I'm actually paying more in aggregate.
Love that you compare unit prices! But cream products are almost always going to go bad before you finish them (especially from "clean" brands - looking at you, Saie), so the unit price ought to be based on how much you'll actually use before the formula changes.
You are in my top 3 beauty UA-camrs as far as trust goes. You are so thorough and honest which is so appreciated. I feel like including closer up views of products on your skin could aid in transparency specifically with you reviews!

I love the lipliner stains, mostly because throughout the day my lips get all the pigment sucked out of them no matter how much water I drink lol and it stays on fairly well! I can’t wait to try the elf mascara! Always love your recommendations!

The elf mascara is the best! It is the first tubing mascara I have ever tried, and I am obsessed! I have worn it every day since I bought it. I bought two colors, the less black and the brown love them both and can't stop wearing them.
The thing a lip liner does, which this stain can’t do, is stop lip products from bleeding outside the lines. This is an especially important function for some older people, who have vertical lines around the lip
I've heard so many raves on the new ELF mascara and I cannot wait to see it in UK stores! I'm tired of tubing mascaras that come off the way you were saying -stringy weird clumps and not coming off fully, even in a shower! I loved how Thrive came off but did not love the price! so if this ELF mascara works for me I will be delighted. hate that wand type but I will power through if its good
I'm so conflicted on the elf mascara. I live in a humid climate and always wear waterproof mascara to hold my curl, and this formula is SO beautiful but it makes my lashes fall. It separates beautifully, is easy to remove, and doesn't smudge at all, but it just doesn't hold. 😭
Hey! I recently bought ELF’s lash n roll (pink top), and I was super skeptical but this lasts all day and does not smudge under yiurneyes or wear off, I felt ill and had a random 4 hour nap and this still stayed on great with no panda eyes. Big recommendation x

I got the elf berry well color blush and it’s really pigmented. I put a dot on the back of my hands and then use my ring finger to put dots on my cheeks. Then I use an powder blush over it and spray the Milani setting spray on top and it stays in all day.
i’m loving the new elf products. i love the milani cream bronzer, but the revolution cream bronzer is still my favorite. did you see the new flower beauty products at ulta, and will you be trying them??? as soon as i saw them, i instantly thought of you. the new essence mascara lash curling primer looks reallllly good, and i definitely want to give it a go. i also saw that essence just released a black/brown lash princess mascara. i’ve NEVER been a fan of the essence liquid lipsticks, but i must say that they do have beautiful shades. 💗💗💗
Everything I've seen about the milani bronzer is really good. I would like to pick it up. Maybe one day out here in Wisconsin we'll get new drugstore products. We just finally got the elf halo wand things. No lip oil yet. Hop😂we'll get some of this new stuff soon. Idk why but I'm always less likely to order drugstore items. I'd rather pick them up in store.

I thought the lasting power was great but I am very heavy handed with my blush. I still like the monochromatic blush sticks even better. I think I told you about those when we were in Vegas
I know it’s not new but I just discovered it in the Sephora Perfect Pout lip set the Clarins lip oil is fantastic my lips are so soft and conditioned no peeling flaking cracking outside cold winter lips …. I woke up and my husband said why are u wearing lipstick to bed 😳🤣🤣🤣 I looked and my lips were hot pink … lol!!!! Don’t care for the color but the CT pillow talk goes perfect on top … I ordered the Honey one so I hope it works better … it tastes incredible it’s my favorite lip oil I wish it was clear 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
I hate eyelash primers in general. I have very long but normal thickness in the lash size. They don’t hold curl without a waterproof mascara so primers make them droop immediately. I’m wanting to try the new elf mascara, but I’m waiting to see if they’ll put out a waterproof version.
The peach perfect shade of that elf blush is the nicest one, but the deeper, brighter shades are horrible to blend or control due to the powerful pigment spread. Thanks for your reviews. ❤
What are your thoughts on the 'hydrating' elf camo cc cream? I am curious. I tried it because the original didn't work for me - it was too drying. But I really am just on the fence about the 'hydrating' one.
Maybe it's the shade I have (Pinky Promise) but I'm underwhelmed by the ELF liquid blush. It comes out a little patchy and I build it and is both very pigmented but doesn't have staying power I expect. I think I like Juvia's one better. I do agree with you on mixing in a liquid highlight though, that I think is a good use.
The Revolution bronzer is great and lasting a long time. I have the thrive mascara in both black and brown. Black is just about done. Brown is new. So will replace the black with the new Elf.

It's strange to me how Essence has released another primer when their current one, (although not the lash princess hype sorry, not a fan of LP) the Volume Booster, is top notch. It's been my go to for years - it replaced my dior and l'oreal lash primers long ago. I sure hope they aren't going to discontinue it in favor of the Lash Princess... looking forward to trying the new Elf fibre mascara though. I happened to be in the US in Nov. and picked up the No7 Lash Extender Fiber mascara and after letting it dry for a month or so, it's pretty good. It's not my Thrive, but it's pretty good for a more natural look.
I don't understand lash primer. First my lashes look so beautiful when the primer first goes like they never do with black lol then i put mascara over and it's done nothing. If i let it dry, it is crusty and hard to cover, if i leave it wet it turns the mascara gray.. usually they're a bit clumpier if anything. I don't understand.

I was hoping the Essence lash princess in brown would be a true brown: unfortunately it’s a dark brown-more like a dark brown; I am still on the hunt for a true brown in a drugstore mascara (and in a non tubing formula).. so I am somewhat disappointed.. I have tried several brown mascaras but the color is more like a black brown..
Thank you for the update on the elf blush. I was excited for a Rare Beauty dupe but if the lasting power isn’t there then it’s not for me. I may bite the bullet for the Rare Beauty one this year
nope i don't agree with the mascara! it clumps, doesn't extend and smudges on my eyeshadow. i saw you post about this so I bought 2 and I messaged elf and they don't accept returns for non-complexion products. now i am throwing these 2
e.l.f. Xtndr Mascara - I really disliked it. It made my eyelashes look like clumped spider legs. When you remove it it comes off in tiny crumbles not tubes. I bought it from the e.l.f. website in the color black.
