This may be an unpopular opinion, but I would pay more for Essence if the package was a little more durable. I have never seen one that isn’t broken and makeup lasts too long for that.

I've tried almost every finery perfume and Without a Trace is definitely the *second* best dupe they've come out with. Jungle Santal is still unbeat tho
Suntouchable Invisible Sunscreen SPF 35 from ELF is a spot on dupe for Unseen Sunscreen too.
I love *LOVE* the Trader Joes unseen sunscreen dupe. It looks and works just like the Supergoop sunscreen. I bought several last year and will be repurchasing if they come back (my local TJs didn't have any in-stock yesterday.)

Trader Joe's Daily Facial Sunscreen and Elf Invisible Sunscreen are both dupes for the Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen. I've tried all 3 of these, and they are identical to each other.

I love learning about Sun Bum sunscreen despite a cheaper Trader Joe's version because I haven't got a Trader Joe's anywhere near me.
I saw the rare beauty new blushes in our Sephora store the other day and they are so soft and silky but they are too glittery for my liking 😊they are definitely geared towards younger audience
Catrice flies under the radar because you can't find them in stores in the US. I tend to forget the brands that you can't find at Ulta/Target/Walmart because they aren't visible to consumers.

OMG, HAD to pause the video, to see what lip color you're wearing! It's the most gorgeous Rose shade - great job at making your "concoction"! I just did a Perfume declutter...not sure how long Perfumes are supposed to last, but I had some for 8 years or so, that I was no longer interested in, so I'm slowly getting back into them. One of my newer ones that I love is Pfleur's Missing Person! Going to check out those other fine'ry scents!
I totally agree about the Fine'ry fragrance - it does smell identical to the Phlur fragrance! I actually chose to get the travel spray of the Phlur because I liked that it was more subtle. I did find the Fine'ry was really strong and lasted forever, even into the next day!
Sun Bum is on my radar! I bought the Trader Joe's "dupe" this weekend and noticed a couple of things - the formulation is noticeably not as elegant, which is fine considering the price point, but then it started pilling after an hour or so on a warm day in NYC around the outer edges of my face where I have more facial hair (e.g., peach fuzz/sideburns). My morning routine is pretty simple, and I let each product sink in before moving on to the next - toner, vitamin C, and sunscreen (1/2-1/4 tsp).
The Trader Joe's unseen sunscreen dupe works great for me in my climate in Seattle. Only downside is that I find that it burns like crazy if I get it into my eyes, like through sweat. Supergoop's also burns my eyes, but not as bad and not for as long.

I have the finery Perfume in Pistachio, Please (not the body mist), and I love it; it doesn't trigger my migraines and is subtle.
I recently tested a rimmel pencil (in cappuccino) and i really loved it! I recommend it. In my opinion, it lasted and it was as creamy as necessary. Thank you for the suggestions!
The nyx thick it stick it brow is my holy grail, love to be asked what I do with my brows and just say, a brow gel, that said I wanted a non l’oreal owned product so I bought the essence one and I just find it wetter, nyx actually gives me more fibers to thicken my brows and I don’t feel thst w essence
Essence also has a ‘make me brow’ gel with filling fibers! It’s what I use 🫶🏽
Trader Joe’s sunscreen is lovely. It has that silicone like feel and is great under makeup or just by itself. My issue is that the tube is so tiny and I use it up so fast. It probably is still fine because it’s only $5. I just wish they would make a bigger tube and save on packaging.
Get a beauty spatula. When you think you’re out, cut the end of the tube off and scrape out what’s left with the spatula and put it in a little travel container. It’s amazing how much product gets wasted with these squeeze tubes.

Sun Bum made another matte sunscreen primer about 5 years ago and it was twice the size and about $12. I haven't seen it in awhile, but i feel it was out long before supergoop launched.

oh i thought the finery pistachio was more like the kayali pistachio! i didnt think it was a dupe for sol de janerio but now i feel like i have to go back and resniff as I love that original smell haha. the finery sweet one is def a dupe for billie eilish though!! my coworker wears it and i originally thought she was wearing the OG until she said she got the finery one. also for the juicy lip balms, i love the one from sheglam!
I haven’t tried the supergoop sunscreen, but the trader joe sunscreen I find is very silicone like but at the same time kinda greasy, and doesn’t smell very good.

This post highlights (well, one example you noted) hie deceptive cosmetic packaging can be. If the word deceptive is too harsh… perhaps misleading or confusing is better. But you know what I mean. How about a post on that topic? Heaven knows you probably have plenty of examples in your stash… certainly in your experience. Photos could work, too.
Can you please double check the eyeshadow shade? Ascension is a purple shadow and it definitely doesn’t look like you’re wearing purple? I love your eye look so much.
That is the shade!! I just dotted on a light layer of it so it looks more so like sparkles than the purple base :)

The essence brow gel was a mess on me… I’m sorry, I usually love a lot of things but this one didn’t work for me! It has a big wand and it’s a runny formula. I have super thick dark eye brows and was so messy. Works different for everyone! Otherwise, great dupes!
