Bad enough the navy catch hell about being gay now they name a ship after a gay man I wonder how many sailors will refuse to be on that ship
In the Navy, no sailor gets to refuse a deployment on any ship.
by the Way ..... what did the Guy do for us Again ??
He gave us HOPE!
Absolutely nothing.
Served in the Korean War
@@selanryn5849 So did my father. He doesn’t have a ship named after him.
@@timwilson3150 Was your father murder while serving the people of the City of San Francisco? Please!
I want to meet the Rear Admiral
LOLOL
Great honor and tribute to good Harvey Milk
Is there a bathhouse on board ?
Maybe some @nal beads ?
A disco ?
This is a shameful thing for the US NAVY to name a ship after him .
My God. My grandfather ( US NAVY HELLCAT PILOT WHO FOUGHT IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC would be laughing his ass off .
Leads me to wonder what the policy is for the USN in naming their ships. Milk was not in the Navy so far as I know. He did what, exactly, to gain the honor? A great number of Navy ships are named after presidents but a person like Milk. Does the Navy have other ships named after mayors?
Milk was never a mayor; he was just a member of SF's Board of Supervisors.
Why is the small boat shooting out water?
The SFFD Fire boat St. Francis welcomed the ship into the Bay. Similar to Fleetweek
You dont honor a peaceful human by putting their name on a weapon of war.
He was a NAVY man!
@abelanzizar my father hated being in the navy during Korea. So....
He was a war veteran...
@@richardlynch1094 (The country and I are thankful for his service) So?
@abelanzizar look up Veterans for Peace. You may be surprised that not every veteran is a warmonger. These are the vets worth thanking.
Thank you Harvey Milk. The homophobic comments always made you stronger 💕
