I make soft boiled eggs once a week but I love the fact that these are served in a bowl with soy sauce and white pepper. I can't wait to eat them. The simple foods are always the best.

Last step in water doesn’t need to be long . Just till your ready to serve. The final cooking time ALSO depends on the size of eggs. So of you are using larger eggs or the size of your saucepan is larger.. you need to increase the cooking time. Im sure you nail it next time!
Hi🙂The water is boiled and a little cool water is added to it. Heat is switched off before adding the eggs *gently* to the water. Boiling water is not added to the eggs. Also use room temperature eggs and the eggs should Not crack if this method is followed unless they already had some slight cracks in them.hope this helps.
Thanks for this video! Do you have any advice if I only want to cook 1 or 2 eggs? I tried your method and waited for 7 mins but the egg turned out to be over cooked.
It doesn't matter the size of the pot. There is one critical point which shown in the video but without telling the most important key ; & the skin of the bread has to be removed or it wouldn't taste nice !
Im sorry to hear that. You could try placing two eggs in a small microwave safe container of water. Microwave for 2 minutes 30 seconds. Leave the bowl in the microwave for under a minute and then remove and drain out the water. Not exactly the same but still works.
It depends the size of the egg too. And some egg has thicker shell. Idk where youre from but Ive lived in different states in Malaysia, 7 minutes is perfect.
Just add tiny bits of ingredients and you claimed it to be yours. Here I thought Singaporean are better than Malaysian......I gues they were WRONG. You folk are as petty as they are.....pff

Can we add like just two eggs?
I tried but fail, how long should we soak the eggs into the room temperature water ( last step) ?

Wonderful.
how many minutes do u put the eggs in the room temp water?
Oh only briefly. Maybe a minute.
Once toast is ready .. you can take them-out:)👍
@@Recipesaresimple thanks it works!
soooooo much butter!!!!yummy!!!!!
is dark soy sauce sweet or salty?
Dark soy sauce is also salty, but thicker in consistency.
Dark sweet soy sauce is different. Not what is used here.
Excited to try it! How much soy sauce is enough?
👍😍oh just less than half tsp for two eggs serving. Add more if you like! Usually dark soy sauce is used.
I am just wondering if this works if I boil only two eggs? Thanks.
It should.. adjust timing accordingly. recipesaresimple.com/recipe/half-boiled-eggs-and-toast/

For two eggs try a smaller regular saucepan( 3 cup capacity)
Bring to a boil switch off but dont cover and wait six minutes. Has worked for us.
@@Recipesaresimple Thanks I’ll try that!

Dark soy sauce? Wouldn't it taste nicer with normal sou sayce? Hehe
Can we use the egg from freezer on the spot....or we have to wait untill its become room temperature
Eggs at room temperature. If taking out from the fridge I wait at least 20 minutes. Never placed eggs in the freezer myself.
Dark soy sauce?
Don’t forget to scoop out any remaining!!

I want to make this but I have the fear of thermophobia 😢 (aka fear of boiling water)
