    about the price:
    I'm using a CF-33 with 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM, i7-7600U etc etc.
It's my personal computer and does everything I need it to do.
Granted, I'm an EOD tech currently responding to this from a desert and I absolutely require a beefy and rugged PC. However that doesn't mean it's necessarily over-priced. Given that it's my personal computer yet I do allot of work with it, the myriad of ports allow me to work on it (access sites that require CAC access to which mine has built in, use the HDMI ports/VGA ports to connect to a projector for PPT presentations etc) and at the same time surf the web, detach the tablet for reading on Kindle, play games on Steam (older games of course) or other non work related uses. Show me another device that can do all of that without the use of a dongle and can take the same abuse. When I take it to the range so that I have applicable publications at the ready or need to doodle something with the stylus to show other non EOD people what I'm talking about, it's exposed to the elements. I then take my nasty and dirt riddled device to the shower where I can literally rinse it off... in the shower.
    without fear of damaging it.
I haven't found a device that can do all the above at or below the price point of this offering.
Again though the requirements I have likely differ from the vast, vast majority of common PC users but I can't think of a better option for the price. Is this for everyone? NO. Is there a very specific demographic that would happily use this? YES.

I bet it still wouldn't stand one day against my friends little brothers.
Seriously, the last computer that my friend owned, they threw it in a fireplace and then out a window.

I kept seeing these on Live PD in patrol cars and wanted to come take a look to see what they were. Even though I'm a mobile DJ and I like rugged equipment, this might be overkill for even me, but it's a nice compact unit none the less.

Thinking of adding one with the GPS to my bug out gear (along with a solar charger).

Cool idea but way overpriced. There’s no way it’s really worth that much no matter how much magic pixie dust of durability it’s got. And ya, clearly for professionals, especially since they’d be the only ones willing and able to drop that much cash on something like this.
