G’day mate, just watched your video from all the way over here in Australia. Thanks a lot for the advice mate really helped a lot. Was rather torn between the Harley products and other outside Harley products so certainly helped. Do you have any advice on what type of detergents to use to wash a Harley and also is there something different to use for the wheels given that you are dealing with brake dust and road grime and all sorts
@@jeremiahokeefe1569 thakn you so much for checking it out!! I use any type of PH balanced soap to wash them...most car wash soaps are perfect...it wont strip the wax off your bike...that being said, about every 2 years ai will specifically use dishwashing liquid that is designed to remove grease, which remove your wax as well. Get it back to clear coat and start with a fresh coat of wax. On stuborn dirty wheels I will use Duracoating Wheely Clean. Not sure if you can get thatover there but you can also use S100 Wheel cleaner...it works pretty good too...if the brake dust is heavy it just takes more elbow grease and maybe doing it a few times. I hope this helps!
Back riding Harley’s last 15 years have owned 6 Harley’s during that time. I have owned 3 my wife 3 so I am the fleet maintenance guy . This is a simple review for this 63 year old rider / owner.S100 is all I will ever use. There is a relationship between using S100 total cycle cleaner on a regular basis and use of the S100 engine brighter.I use the brightener maybe twice per season.traded my 2010 Road Glide custom this summer original owner general manager gave me top dollar for my trade couple weeks later was in his shop asks . “What do you clean your motor with?” I told him .” Why I asked? “My guys in the back said it was the cleanest motor ever brought into the shop.oh and it sold in four days never made it to the sales floor.” Smiled walked over to the garage section grabbed a bottle of S100 total cleaner and engine brighter on the way out.
Have used the S100 on several bikes. Works well. I think the key is to use light coats. It does cost more. So after seeing this video and realizing their really is any difference in the overall final result, I’ll probably use the cheaper products and save a few bucks. Once again a terrific video. Thank you 🤟🏼
I have a 2003 ultra classic that motor is total grey. At first I was hesitant about using HD, I have seen you tubes on the other 2 products. Thank you very much for your video. I will try the HD product. I bought our bike earlier this year and doing a very major detail overhaul on the paint, engine and chrome.
Thank you for the support! And if you have any questions just hit me up on the air ride. Im slackin on comments this past few weeks..im usually pretty quick about answering these
I'd say this stuff is like seasoning a skillet or other surface. Adding the silicone-based spray gives you that amount of corrosion resistance you need. Now I have to decide on which one I want, or just use Pam or WD-40. HAHA! Great video! Glad I searched for something. Drives me crazy, trying to polish my chrome and one slight touch of the cleaner to the black and it's permanently white.
Been using S100 fir 20 years. Especially on my 01 Cvo Road Glide with a silver engine. It still look nicer then new at 69.000 miles.. its my go to sealer. Deffinatly detergent resistance. That keystone any coating is that the surface is clean properly.
I watched the video and decided to try the HD Engine Bright on my 2005 Road King. Amazing, that bike hasn't looked that good since I bought it! From here on I'm sold on this spray.
Nice video. I have used WD-40 on my engine and all black parts for years. Use the spray nozzle for tight spaces and use a sponge to apply in the larger easy to reach areas. Have used it on my 1992 Heritage Softail since 1995. Works well and lasts for months.
Hey John ...agreed. Ive used WD40 for years but holy crap if I mention that in a video I get ripped! Its crazy. Youre motors gonna catch on fire! the comments are nuts. tons of gusy have used it for years with no issues.
Thanks for this video. I think I saw the fins clear up as well? Or is that an optical illusion. The cylinder cooling fins on my 1900 dont look so good. Im not sure if I should use, steel wool, or 220 sandpaper to bring back to that nice aluminum look. But it seems the pig spit made them look much better. Is this how they do those fins? Im not sure how to approach cleaning them up. If this product does that (seems to work in video) I will go that way, or am I wasting my money? Any advise is appreciated from any readers. Thanks in advance
Hey Monte...cleaning with a 220 and a something flat like a popsicle stick works the best,,however the steel wool works pretty good too..thats how I clean them and its really not too bad..just alittle time consuming. This stuff is basically a silicone based spray that makes the black pop a little bit and not look so ashey.
sorry for the ater reply..been at sturgis. Ive been sticking with the HD stuff...still cheaper than the others and works and lasts about trhe same...but they all work well!
@@sikbaggersNo worries on the late reply. Just back home from a 7 day Alaskan cruise...No regular internet anyway. When the Pig Spit runs out, I might follow your lead.
I used to buy the pig spit in the blueish colored cans normally found at Harley or independent Bikes shops. At the time I also seen the the stuff in the black cans labeled pig spit which I always thought and was told was a copy cat of great product and was warned away from it. The pig Spit in the blueish colored cans clearly said in the instructions it could be used on any surface including paint it also warned obviously not to use on seats grips tires ( anything requiring traction DuHHH) Anyways I used to wash and blow dry my bikes with the seat off and I would coat every part I could with pig spit paint work, chrome, wires, connectors, nuts, bolts, exhaust ( everything pretty much but the obvious ) If I was going on a long ride or I knew I couldn't wash my bikes for some reason for a month or two even after long trips in the rain even in bug season I would not wipe any of the product off except off of parts where the product could heat up and possible collect dirt causing stains or the product could creep onto tires grips etc Meaning leave that stuff on and your chrome nut bolts frame etc will resist rust that much better than if you wiped it all off going for a mirror shine on everything. All I can say is I never had rust or pitting problems on any of my bikes. I cannot say for sure which pig spit is the true original or which was better or if they are in fact the same just different batches from the same maker. I will say when I wanted to take the time to wax painted areas after using pig spit I would just not coat the tin work on purpose wipe off any over spray then wax like normal. I used pig spit on paint as a quick and easy spray detailer for paint when I was too rushed or felt the bike did not need the time spent on waxing tins.
Lemon Pledge, on the same parts, smells good, last fine, simple to use, and cost about 5. bucks...Used it on my Superglide, Streetglide, Heritage, and Slim.....

@sikbaggers Yre correct on the blk engines. I've been using it on the silver engines on older Harleys. My 02 RK is in great condition, no problems with that. Will try the other products you've recommended. Ride safe my brothers and sisters.🇺🇸😎
I used the HD brightener on my Fatbob and my Sporty..... the silicone base tipped me off to just use the Autozone carried silicone spray... liked it just as good as the HD, for less money. My Fatbob has the denim black..which was "greyed out". Since I'm not concerned about repainting the bike... I wipe the denim paint with the same stuff. Looks great to me..and easy to maintain.
Buy a case of 12 of pig Spit which works out to $9 a can. Lasts for 3 years including my Street Glide (using it for 11 years and looks factory new), three cars, and truck. Mist comes off easy on paint and chrome and makes it even more shiny. Dries in minutes and heat of engine doesn’t bother it. No issues with dust or dirt sticking I’ve see. Hides scratches too…🤟
Thank you Xavier! Much appreciated! Tell your friends and fellow riders about us if you get a chance...that really helps! Thanks for checking out the videos too.
Thank you for the content! I really appreciate the informative videos that you do on some of the simple maintenance tasks to help us riders save some time and slot of money! Keep up the good work! Ride safe and ride often!
I am late to this video, thank you for the comparison. seems like i need to detail the chrome and other overspray spots no matter what I use. I have a can of pig spit in my shop, still on the shelf after buying it 8 months ago due to what it says about plastics etc. said nothing about engine detailing. I will give it a try, how did you clean the overspray off the chrome. I have a ton of chrome
there isnt much overspray with any of them..just be carefula nd watch where your aiming...however the clean is as easy as wiping it off...no scrubbing..just wipe it off.
Trick I have learned with the Harley Product, after washing my bike and drying properly, I will spray a light coat, wipe off excess from chrome, then warm the engine up to let the metals expand and absorb the product, then spray another light coat and wipe off excess let dry and review the results
great video, yes like that you made that comparison. I use the pig spit on my electra glide and have know problem with the product. It shines it up making it look good.
not sure Lee, never wash these bikes with soap and water..I use a waterless wash as all of the speakers are pro audio and not marine grade. Sorry I cannot help there.
thank you ken! and its the Klockwerks Flare amzn.to/3JOjmoF and ive been through so many windshields in my day and the klockwerks are by far the toughest ones out there as far as impact resistance goes and if you got the proper size you it will kick the air up and over you and your passenger. And yes there are cheap knockoffs of these but they are just that...cheap and scratch super easy, fade in time and will crack...im not affiliated with them in any way...but its the only windshield I will buy for my bikes.
Great side by side comparison and appreciate your time to review these products. I have used WD-40 and seems to work well but expensive. I also have a full can of T-9 that I use on my boat electrical system and wondering if you have ever used or heard of it being used. I was thinking I would try it out but thought I would ask first. Thanks Steve
Ive heard of guys using wd40 before..heck back in the day im pretty sure thats all guys used..all of these are an oil based spray similar to wd 40...although they may have a hotter flash point.
Just bought the HD brightener... about to remove my sportster wheels..to "detail" them. Need polishing..but the painted section is greyed out. Wondering if that will help bring back the paint? Thouhgts? Obviously, I'll be careful to remove any excess spray..and keep it off the tires.
Old video I know, but the HD stuff is essentially silicone lube spray. Everything sticks to it. Siligon is a better product to use than that stuff. It's silicone free. Can't go wrong with Pig Spit or S100. In a tight spot, use WD-40 or a silicone lube spray. Preferably water resistant.
You are correct but...SILIGON says its for plastic, rubber and vinyl....you use it on the black on the motor? And if you do how does it hold up over time?
Practical unbiased useful information, Loveed It! Thank you!! Got a can of Pig Spit in the garage, going to feel great about using that today and I can clean up my saddle bags while I’m at it.
The million dollar question...how long does an application last? Does it dry and absorb into the paint/metal to the point that dust etc doesn't instantly attach to it like armor all tire shine does?
im not sure on the other 2 yet, ill update everyone...but the HD stuff lasted all season...I know if it looks wet, shits gonna stick...if you do very slight coats and just make it black youll be fine..I worried about that too.
Richard Edwin I found that pig spit lasted a lot longer than s100. I detail my bike every 2500 miles and it lasts the whole time. Put that on, polish the chrome, cleaner wax and then a polish. Motor stays nice and clean the whole time. Been using it 20+ years and swear by it.
The problem is that all of these products are sticky/tacky when dry and dust sticks to it in a second making it look worse than it did before spraying it.
I haven't had that problem at all. I applied the engine bright 6/22 and it still looks good. on 3/23. I will however put another application on when the weather warms up.
You will probably think Im crazy or have way too much time on my hands but this is what I do. I get the pig spit or the S100 can and turn it upside down....Push the button or put it in a wood clamp and hold the button down until all the propellant is gone. Once the can is empty, and I make sure its empty....Shake it really good and then use one of the old time can openers and put a hole in the can. Pour the liquid out and into a small glass jar. I then load it into my ...ready for this...airbrush....I can surgically put this stuff on without hitting any or the chrome and I use allot less than spraying it from the can.
Thats pretty smart as the cans do only have one spray pressure...off and full blast so there is a lot of build up and waste when it only needs a fine coat. Smart!
Great comparison on the application methods, but how well does each withstand heat, washes and/or rain? How frequently are you having to reapply? Longterm test....? Thanks as always for the video.
Thanks Brian...I will update everyone with a video on that. The HD Cleaner lasted all season before I needed to hit it again. The HD and the s100 say detergent resistant however the pig spit does not. The HD stuff lasted all season and I did a light coat this spring and it looks new again.
Great video. The real test is how long does it last. I can only comment on the HD and Pig spit. Pig Spit will last on your bike longer than HD engine brightener, and also is good on everything it over sprays on (except floor boards LOL). Ride safe bro.
Hey Tony! Thanks for checking it out man...and Ive had different results from all 3 really..depends a lot on the riding conditions for sure. And yeah...keep it off the seat and floorboards for sure HA!
hey, great video, have you tested or tried anything for the chrome parts to keep them looking new on the Harley? if so work good enough for you to buy it again? thanks
For the chrome I simply wax the heck out of it...just keeping a protective layer on the chrome finish will go a long way. To polish the chrome I use white diamond metal polish amzn.to/3K3Ayn6 and then follow up with the wax
I've always thought the s-100 products were to pricey. The HD Engine Brightener works just as well. Never tried the Pigskin product because I am satisfied with the HD product results at a cheaper cost than the s-100. Agree with your analysis Nice comparison on all 3 products. 👍❤
S100- I can only speak for myself but I picked up a `07 FatBoy last year with only 6,000 miles that was a little neglected as far as being cleaned. It was a bike that was on the east coast near the ocean so it had some corrosion. I clean my bikes a lot during the summer months and even winter if I`m able to ride. The S100 brought it back to like new condition as I`m sure the others would have also. I also put a lot of miles on the bikes, usually about 30,000 miles a year between the two. Here`s the kicker, after countless cleanings I only had to use the S100 2x last year on my FLSTF engine. The stuff stays on after washing and stays put very well. I just finished the can with my initial spring cleaning of the bike. So that`s 3 uses but it lasted all year long even during winter riding..Just my experience with the S100..I also use the engine brightener on everything but the tank and fenders..
Sorry I missed this comment til now...thank you for your review on it as well. I am anxious to see how the 3 hold up over the summer with the rain we have been getting. On our bike the HD cleaner lasted a long time but our bike doesnt get wet....strictly use the waterless wash method because of all of the speakers. This black bike however gets wet, plenty...so we will see....thanks again for your input man...much appreciated
sorry for the delay, catching up from our Sturgis trip...but they all will collect some sort of dust over time and sand...they are all oil based products..thats the nature of the beast with this stuff
Sorry I'm late responding but thank you for checking it out! I have still been using the HD version to be honest and this was shot a couple of years ago...still works great and the cheapest of the 3
I have the (HD) stuff but haven’t used it yet. Just wondering if WD-40 would do the same thing. Used to spray it on painted dirtbike engines and they would shine like new money.
I purchased a used 2010 Electra Glide Ultra Limited from a San Antonio Texas dealer and when I drove it home, I had smoke pouring off the engine. I think they used the HD Engine brightener on the engine, and it seems to have burnt off. Have you had any problem with this stuff smoking off, when the heads heat up?
Hey Patricknever seen this stuff smoke , ever...however you'll see some old schoolers use wd 40 to get the same effect and yes it will smoke. Wonder if they used that in a pinch maybe
@@sikbaggers by your recommendations I bought it. I haven't used it yet. Maybe next week. Having the CAT out this week. It will be ready Friday. Then the stage 1 is complete.. 😎🤘
So I just used mother’s back to black in a spray can on my motor and the black part of my stock enforcer wheel. It looks awesome. I think I payed $10 for the can. Not sure how long it’s going to last but I put it on my f150 and it last a long time
Awesome vid man.. I love how you broke down the price per oz.. that itself was a question I was going to ask.. another question is, what do you recommend wiping silicone based products of with? Thanks bro..
heres my thing on that...under your seat is the ecm...the main computer for your bike...also the non insulated molex connectors for your fuel tank and rear lights...I've seen water get in those and mess up the turn signals..actually just happened in Daytona to a buddy of mine..his seat was soaked, leaking water under it as we rode, hits turn signals and flashers come on...we pulled over and I pulled it all apart to find the connectors full of water..so it can get water in them. I always remove the seat..throw a piece of plastic over the electronics and wash. to clean that area, beasue it does get tones of dust on everything just use a simple degreaser like Awesome, I get it at the dollar store...cheap and super strong...spray it on, use a boar hair brush to agitate everything and then wipe it all out with a few old rags. Cleans right up and looks new again.
yes..all 3 products seem to last about the same...still to this day I purchase the HD brand because of the price per ounce. All three perform the same so it just comes down to the cost.
Yes it maybe...most of us some of that laying around in the shop..Im actually curious how much silicone is in these products,,,maybe as much as the actual silicone....good point and will test that when I get a grubby motor in here again
Thank you Joe...been using all 3 products on various bikes and they all seems to hold about the same .,..ill probably buy the HD again when im out. Seemed like the best deal for the money and i like the shine it gives plus the easy clean up.
thats a "blonde" finish and there really isn't a lot you can do with it...use a heavy degreaser to clean it and you can use any one of these silicone based sprays to kind of brighten it up a little but ti wont be as effective as on the wrinkle black.
Excellent video! I'm completely new to this as I just got my first bike which is used and needs a deep cleaning. So where does all the grime and stuff go when you use these products? Does it just disappear? It would be great if anyone would have a video on how to clean "dirty" bikes. Tons of how to clean clean bikes but not one "dirty bike" how to. Thanks again for the video!
My question is: How did the engines look after a month or so of riding? I mean which product seem to retain a more black luster look? Thanks for the Great demo too.
They all pretty much held up the same...all 3 of these are silicone based so it will collect dust over time as it sticks tot he silicone..havent really found one that doesnt do that though...not yet..im still looking.
Thanks for the video...I was wondering if there was anything to get my motor back to black...13 years old and she only looks black for a day or 2 after washing
I was cleaning the aluminum derby and timing covers and got Mother's Mag & Aluminum polish on the crank case. I have tried cleaning with soap and water but still have staining from the aluminum polish. Will any of these help with that staining? Thank you, Peanut aka Trouble 2012 Harley Davidson XL1200N running Stage 1 with V&H Short Shots and Roland Sands Design air cleaner.
it wont remove stains from polish ...all this does is make the black look blacker using oil that is in the formula. You will need a cleaning solvent to get that off. Something like this amzn.to/3MJ95Mc or just go on amazon and look for Prep Solvent
@@sikbaggers Thank you very much! I bought my bike used with only 3500 miles and it now has just shy of 20,000 on it but clearly previous owner did not know about cleaning processes. After some time and elbow grease my bike looks amazing.
How to get the fin ends shiny, take some very fine sand paper between 800 to 1200 grit soaked in water and a small piece of wood and sand the fins with only a moderate amount of pressure. Do a test first.
Ive tried them all on ashey exhaust and nothing really seems to work...they get too hot and just burn off any product...it loks good if your showing the bike and you put it on right before the show but after you ride its gone...I have not found anything that works on ashey exhaust that actually last though.
Thank you Rod...I do not know...im assuming they can be...the spray itself is not black..just a silicone based spray...wont make it black but itll clean it up
Very good video. Im always looking for bike cleaning products. I use "Bike Brite" on my 2020 Heritage Classic. Spray it on, wait 5-10 seconds and hose it off. No worries, spray it everywhere it cleans chrome, painted areas, leather.

Looks great to me..and easy to maintain.
yeah they are all silicone based..ill have to try that sometime!
I effuse top coat on everything and after wiping it off it really does work for a long time I thought and I wash my bike a lot
I usePig spit and use the s100 nozzle works great for the tight spots.
and yes No matter what aerosol you use gonna have to wipe down the chrome
Yeah I noticed that with all these...kinda goes everywhere lol
Buy a case of 12 of pig Spit which works out to $9 a can. Lasts for 3 years including my Street Glide (using it for 11 years and looks factory new), three cars, and truck. Mist comes off easy on paint and chrome and makes it even more shiny. Dries in minutes and heat of engine doesn’t bother it. No issues with dust or dirt sticking I’ve see. Hides scratches too…🤟
Agreed...buying by the case is much cheaper..I got a 6 pack from ebay for about that price..pretty good deal.
You deserve more subscribers with all the great videos you make. They re super well done and you’re good on camera
Thank you Xavier! Much appreciated! Tell your friends and fellow riders about us if you get a chance...that really helps! Thanks for checking out the videos too.
Thanks for the comparison of the products
I’ve used the pig spit and it seems to work well.
Ride safe brother
Thank you! Yes I like all 3...seems ill probably just get the best one for the price at the time.
Thanks Steve
Keep up the great videos!
S100 is my go to. How it looks when you spray it on is one thing. It is how it looks after a wash or two, or three that really tells. S100 every time.
I do dig the s100 and the HD spray..still not a fan of the pig spit..Ive found those two last the longest
Thank you for the content! I really appreciate the informative videos that you do on some of the simple maintenance tasks to help us riders save some time and slot of money! Keep up the good work! Ride safe and ride often!
Thank you Kevin and always glad to help! Be safe!
MAN I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR VIDOE’S KEEP THEM COMING.
Thanks for checking them out! Much appreciated!
Using pig spit for years. Great stuff.
Awesome John...Yep I thik Ill see which ones cheaper when I need it next and grab that one..definitely between the hd and the pig spit though.
Does the nozzle have the capability of holding a straw?
the ones that do not come with a straw will not hold one...its a spray or mist type nozzle.
I've used the HD brightener on the black part of my wheels also and it seems to help them
Yes sir...it can be put on anything wrinkle black or powder coated.
great video and I like that you tested it live and let us learn with you!
Thank you Bryan!
how much cleanup did you have to do with regards to the over spray on other parts? Great video, thanks
there isnt much overspray with any of them..just be carefula nd watch where your aiming...however the clean is as easy as wiping it off...no scrubbing..just wipe it off.
Excellent review, thanks. It is good to know I can trust which ever is available. I live overseas and can't always get stuff locally or in the mail.
Yes get which ever one you can get...all lasted about the same and had the same effect on the engine. Thanks for checking it out!
This awesome info !! And complete ! So how did they hold up over time ? Is there a follow up vid ?
Trick I have learned with the Harley Product, after washing my bike and drying properly, I will spray a light coat, wipe off excess from chrome, then warm the engine up to let the metals expand and absorb the product, then spray another light coat and wipe off excess let dry and review the results
Yeah it really sets in after a good ride! Great stuff.
great video, yes like that you made that comparison. I use the pig spit on my electra glide and have know problem with the product. It shines it up making it look good.
Thank you!
How about after a few washes?
Was there a difference on ‘detergent resistance’?
not sure Lee, never wash these bikes with soap and water..I use a waterless wash as all of the speakers are pro audio and not marine grade. Sorry I cannot help there.
Enjoy all the videos. But quick question. What windshield are you running on that street glide?
thank you ken! and its the Klockwerks Flare amzn.to/3JOjmoF and ive been through so many windshields in my day and the klockwerks are by far the toughest ones out there as far as impact resistance goes and if you got the proper size you it will kick the air up and over you and your passenger.
A needed video. Made up my mind as to what I need on my Ultra Classic to make her look new again.
Love this stuff...any of the 3 brands work great and last long...I think the HD one lasts a little longer than the the rest though.
Thank you for checking it out Mark, all 3 work and last about the same...any of them will make the engine look tons better.
Yes! And I have 1 1/4 mile of dirt road, one way to highway. It's a horror show
Maybe if you live in a desert or gravel roads. In Wisconsin, dust isn’t an issue
I really enjoyed watching your shows thank you for all the information that you give us.
thank you for checking us out Robbie...sorry for the late reply still playing catch up from Sturgis trip.
I put a different spray nozzle on it with a straw so you can have more control where it goes
yes ive learned to rob my straws off of other cans lol
Thanks Steve, appreciate the info. I think i will go with the HD product.
Smart!
@@sikbaggers Thanks....Even a pig finds a truffle now and then...LOL
Thanks for the video . Do all three products smell similar?
yeah they all smell like a silicone based spray...nothing fancy
@@sikbaggers thanks for the info
hey, great video, have you tested or tried anything for the chrome parts to keep them looking new on the Harley? if so work good enough for you to buy it again? thanks
For the chrome I simply wax the heck out of it...just keeping a protective layer on the chrome finish will go a long way. To polish the chrome I use white diamond metal polish amzn.to/3K3Ayn6 and then follow up with the wax
So how o you get the overspray off your chrome without effecting the protectant you have on It ?
wipe it off...it really does just wipe right off
A short note to say thank you about showing us the shift shaft and lever fix. It happened the next next.day.lol
wow...yeah it happens a lot...I get more comments on that video than any other..that should tell HD something for sure.
I've always thought the s-100 products were to pricey.
The HD Engine Brightener works just as well. Never tried the Pigskin product because I am satisfied with the HD product results at a cheaper cost than the s-100. Agree with your analysis
Nice comparison on all 3 products. 👍❤
I appreciate this info. Great video.
How do they last after a good washing?
Great video inserts/edits on pricing and size of cans, extra detail like on youtube, hard to find!Nice job
Thank you..much appreciated!
Ya what he said and stuff. Lol
Does any of those 3 products attract dust or sand? Does it dry enough that this does happen?
sorry for the delay, catching up from our Sturgis trip...but they all will collect some sort of dust over time and sand...they are all oil based products..thats the nature of the beast with this stuff
Thanks for this Video, good to know, that the all product works, try to test the HD product on my Harley Davidson motorcycles...
Great video. I use and love the HD engine brightener.
Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply, I just got back from Sturgis...thanks for checking it out!
Great job on the video! I like all three of them to, I just look for what's on sale at the time and grab a can.
Absolutely..that's my plan..I see the prices have already changed since I purchased these on Amazon.
Nice video keep it coming .You are bringing lots of info for harley new riders like myself !!love this videos..
Thank you sir! Lots more to come...headed to vegas next week but ill be back the following week with new stuff. Glad it is helped you!. Be safe!
Thanks for that video! Those kind of videos are really helpful 😎🤘
Youre very welcome! Be safe!
Oh, since my comment, I went to HD and bought a can 😎🤘
@@carolinarider5237 Its great stuff...I think for the price its the best choice.
Not sure how long it’s going to last but I put it on my f150 and it last a long time
ah man ill have to check that out..havent seen that yet and i use the lotion style all the time on my cars and trucks
Awesome vid man.. I love how you broke down the price per oz.. that itself was a question I was going to ask.. another question is, what do you recommend wiping silicone based products of with? Thanks bro..
I use straight rubbing alcohol on a shop towel or old rag...takes it right off floorboards if u get some overspray .
Hey Steve....can you wash a motorcycle with the seat off and would anything happen to the battery when washing ?
heres my thing on that...under your seat is the ecm...the main computer for your bike...also the non insulated molex connectors for your fuel tank and rear lights...I've seen water get in those and mess up the turn signals..actually just happened in Daytona to a buddy of mine..his seat was soaked, leaking water under it as we rode, hits turn signals and flashers come on...we pulled over and I pulled it all apart to find the connectors full of water..so it can get water in them.
Thanks man much appreciated and really like the videos. The videos are very informative and useful. I do think you should do more live videos though.
Hey brother! Thank you for all of your excellent DIY vids! You are awesome and make a great teacher! God bless! Ride safe and keep it up!
Thanks, you too! Appreciate you!
I’d like to know how long each one lasted? Does the shine last equally on each product?
yes..all 3 products seem to last about the same...still to this day I purchase the HD brand because of the price per ounce. All three perform the same so it just comes down to the cost.
I’d be curious what plain ol’ silicone spray does/lasts compared to these as well? Might be worth it too??
Yes it maybe...most of us some of that laying around in the shop..Im actually curious how much silicone is in these products,,,maybe as much as the actual silicone....good point and will test that when I get a grubby motor in here again
Good video Steve thanks alot it helps me make up my mind.
Thank you Joe...been using all 3 products on various bikes and they all seems to hold about the same .,..ill probably buy the HD again when im out. Seemed like the best deal for the money and i like the shine it gives plus the easy clean up.
What do you use for getting fin edges pottery again?
0000 steel wool works great and its cheap
I'm at a loss on what product to use on my floorboards that won't make them too slick!
That was a great video! Thank you
Nice job doing the comparison.
Thank you for the information, but I was wondering do you have to hose anything off later or do you just wipe the chroma off and ride the bike?
all 3 of these you can simply wipe off the overspray and go. Very easy to use.
I have a 02 SE RK with the grey motor. Recommendations for this type of finish?
thats a "blonde" finish and there really isn't a lot you can do with it...use a heavy degreaser to clean it and you can use any one of these silicone based sprays to kind of brighten it up a little but ti wont be as effective as on the wrinkle black.
@@sikbaggers yeah, I thought as much. Thanks.
Do a deep clean with soap, water and a plastic bristle brush first. If you've got oil leaks, you might want to hit it with some engine degreaser too.
Is there anything for silver colored motors ?
unfortunately nothing for the blonde coatings other than scrubbing and cleaning and hoping it doesn't start to flake off.
This stuff seems just like Armor All. Are these products more suited to hot environments near an engine or have some other advantage over Armor All?
Thats exactly what it is...suited for hot surfaces.
PIG SPIT #1 🏆
Thanks for the video...I was wondering if there was anything to get my motor back to black...13 years old and she only looks black for a day or 2 after washing
Any 3 of these will do the trick my friend. Youre very welcome and thanks for checking it out.
Use the pig spit all over then wash bikes
Pig spit 👍
You should try Pig Snot wax. Works great, goes on easy, and comes off easy.
I was cleaning the aluminum derby and timing covers and got Mother's Mag & Aluminum polish on the crank case. I have tried cleaning with soap and water but still have staining from the aluminum polish. Will any of these help with that staining?
Thank you,
Peanut aka Trouble
2012 Harley Davidson XL1200N running Stage 1 with V&H Short Shots and Roland Sands Design air cleaner.
it wont remove stains from polish ...all this does is make the black look blacker using oil that is in the formula.
Great tip Allan! thanks for sharing man! I actually used some 000 steel wool the other day and that worked great too.
I use klock werks engine werks .it has a pump spray ,it get all over everything but it's a water base product and wipes of unwanted areas easily
Hey George...I havent seen that one before...ill have to give it a whirl next time...thanks for the heads up!
Exactly what I was looking for! You rock, thanks!
Glad I could help!
Would you use the S100 engine brightener on the black denim exhaust when they start to go ashy too?
Ive tried them all on ashey exhaust and nothing really seems to work...they get too hot and just burn off any product...it loks good if your showing the bike and you put it on right before the show but after you ride its gone...I have not found anything that works on ashey exhaust that actually last though.
@@sikbaggers Thank you
Use barbecue paint. It's the only thing I've gotten to stay without fading.
Great information, thanks. Do you know if these products can be used on the silver CVO Screamin Eagle engine?
Thank you Rod...I do not know...im assuming they can be...the spray itself is not black..just a silicone based spray...wont make it black but itll clean it up
Just want to make sure, I get it right. Do you spray the products on the engine (2 coat) and leave it or do you spray and wipe?
Spray on and that’s it. It dries pretty quick and won’t attract dust much. Just wipe off your chrome and other smooth surfaces.
Very good video. Im always looking for bike cleaning products. I use "Bike Brite" on my 2020 Heritage Classic. Spray it on, wait 5-10 seconds and hose it off. No worries, spray it everywhere it cleans chrome, painted areas, leather.
Sorry for the late reply, just got back from Sturgis ...but yes we have used it here too...and it seems to be a great product!
