- Mike and Ant have fixed up an Austin Healey and are looking to auction it off for big money, the most expensive car they've ever bought on Wheeler Dealers.

My father had one and i LOVED IT!
I owned and drove one just like it in the mid to late 60's.
Had a navy blue 100-6 (1958) with a hardtop!.the perfect car for a college sophomore..the upholstery was blue too with white piping- it's why I've a hard time understanding the red interior of this otherwise beautiful 3000.
Mike was like a kid on Christmas morning. A great watch.

I had a '59 100-6 and a '61 3000 in my younger days. Regretted getting rid of them ever since.
A BRG Healey is supposed to have black vinyl with silver piping. The red interior is sacrilege.

The engine isn’t single overhead cam, it’s overhead valve, pushrod.
I always love what they do, but the interior colour seems off to me.

Symptoms... So iv got a potential hundred grand car my dad gave me with perfect paint and chrome, its covered in be-ro under a dust sheet in my commercial garage. Im tooooo busy on the land-line to 1983 where my shrink is, he's wondering why I cant be bothered washing it to get more dough from the billy bunter looking punter coming to see it, or spending ten grand to tart it up for auction.
Diagnosis.. This is a pandemic of preposterousness raging through car shows..
Treatment.. Perhaps a surfeit of hydroxychloroquine?

Factoring in 45 hours of labour which doesn’t get a mention ,I don’t believe together with the sale commission he had to pay
Brewer made a thumping loss. No mention of new tyres either which should have been imperative on such an old car

Yup..I loved his enhancing of the exhaust system...but Those SUs are good carburetors, and do not need to be retired. Webers are overrated, IMO. And Healeys were never meant to be dragstrip kings anyway...This car probably gained around 10hp with those custom headers, giving it 160hp...that is plenty for this classic car!

Mike je suis un fane de vos émissions mais pour une austin helay j aurais vue en grand avec le fameux 2jy toyota aux etat unis ne vois que par la puissance a l etat pur sur que 35 mil dollars sa donne a réfléchir mais je te promet que avec le fameux 6 cylindre 2 jz tu aurait ton telephone qui n aurais pas arrêter de sonner toyota c est bien marier avec bmw le 6 cylindres bmw et meme toyota la reconnu comme le meilleur des 6 cylindres dans la nouvelle supra mais le 2jz dans une anglaise qu ellé pied vous voyait pas asser grand wellers dealers et edd dilan nous manque
a lot wasted money. Webers? nope. zero benefits. unless other engine mods are done. However, then it's not stock. I never would have replaced the S.U.'s nothing wrong if you rebuild and know how to tune. It is time-consuming. adjust, test, adjust test. but it stays stock and ultimately is more sellable. A bit like you guys really didn't understand Healeys at all. Red/Green????huh???? Fail.

BRING BACK EDD!!!!! You guys still use Edd in the profile picture and the new shows are garbage.... its just like Two and a Half Men without charlie sheen... maybe it will run for 2 more years but soon you guys will see that nobody watches this new crap and you will lose all your old fans.
the new shows are not garbage, they are just not to your liking. i love Ed but the show has moved on, Ed left, maybe of his own accord but he left. top gear is not the same as it was with clarkson may and hammond but is is still top gear
