    Thanks again Dana for another awesome UA-cam video. I love watching u in action because you’re not afraid of getting your hands dirty plus u break everything down step by easily understandable step.

    The black must not have been factory, it came off very easy. The finish is exactly what the factory look is and what I want to accomplish on one of my projects. That is walnut shell and couple clear coats? Awesome video, thank you!

    Baking soda also works well for cleaning parts without damaging the base metal. I have a handheld blaster that I use for cleaning carbs and other alloy items. Also works great for cleaning spark plugs. And baking soda dissolves in water so easy clean ups.

    Informative as always and a lot more work than I thought. And definitely looks better without the black paint. Like your tops. And spot on camera angles

    After coating your part with striper try putting them in a heavy duty plastic bag (seal) to percolate for the same length of time I usually use a waterblaster next if I can

    You should wear safetyglasses Dana. Wenn the hair from that thing sweeps back, it could splash some of the chemicals in your eyes. Well done btw. I use to hate that job on the bike. Did that many times, long ago. Nowadays not needed because i have a better bike haha. 🤣😂😎😅

    Nice job on the forks Dana. They don't sell Nitromors any longer? It was good stuff, paint it on and scrape it off. The chemical you used seemed very effective.

    • @bikerstuff2
      @bikerstuff2  4 місяці тому +1

      You can buy Nitromors because it is a brand name, however it no longer contains Dichloromethane (DCM), the active ingredient. You can buy DCM if you have the correct certification, which of course I don't have.
      Yes, I was surprised how well the paint stripper I used actually worked. I believe the person who painted the forks did it in the last few years with Hammerite which is maybe why it came off so easily.

    • @AndrexT
      @AndrexT 3 місяці тому

      @@bikerstuff2 Love Hammerite. You can't get it in Canada. I might have to bring some back with Stilton, Savlon, Weedol and OXO in September. Quite the shopping list.
