Parkway drive are evolving like any good band should, saw them live for the first time at Brisbane river stage for this tour, my son and I had a ball, ( it was his 21st) have been into metal since I was 13 I'm now 47 and this still speaks to me and bridges the gap
This is an amazing song by a great band. Came across them accidentally, but they are a common occurrence in my playlists. We need more bands and music like this nowadays. Someone said it before, no one knows "music" anymore
Every lyric to ever come out of parkway has stricken a vital chord everywhere, always meaning something. These guys know what's up, nice rocks brothers. Preach.
I love it when music videos put in the extra effort to make something worth watching. Also, their landlord sucks if they are the ones who have to keep fixing their own apartment while trying to jam.
Finally getting back into the bands I grew up with and this is absolutely incredible. U wanted to see this progressing. The face melting riffs, insane solo and bigger than life chorus. This is a fucking masterpiece. One listen, and I realized why parkway was such a big influence in my life. Thank you!
Stumbled across this video some weeks ago and all I can say it's insanely good! Every time I hit that replay button, I swear I can hear Nick Holmes from old Paradise Lost
I really hope I can see these guys live... They are one of my favorite metal bands. I found metal halfway through college and a bad relationship, and got more and more into it as my life went through ups and downs because it just... felt right. It's so pure, it's a clean communication of emotions. Parkway Drive in particular emotes so clearly... 'I Hope You Rot' was my introduction, and I've listened to it more times than I can count, and looked at the chilling lyrics in awe. This band is just so good... I'm happy to be around while they are.
Regardless of whether you like the music or not (which I happen to love because of how catchy the guitar riff is), this music video is a fucking masterpiece. Especially around @2:40 when the drummer gets dragged away but then it's another him going back to the drums. So well done. I fucking love it
Yes I was going to comment that as well. I know it's a different genre and band, but Thirty Seconds to Mars also used exactly this filming style for their debut live performance of 'Dangerous Night'
Being that I'm unfamiliar with the band, this is one of the only songs I've heard before on the radio, and I have to say it kicks ass. I love the guitar for how well it captures your interest throughout, and it's definitely got that "oomph" to it I like from hard rock/metal songs. I think Vice Grip is the other I've heard on occasion and really like that one, too. Even if I don't end up hearing more, those are still two solid songs that really give a good impression of them.
WOW, I'm on the opposite end of your spectrum - their new stuff sounds commercial & mainstream unlike their earlier works like "CARRION" "KARMA" "SLEEPWALKER" - it's sad but true how most bands start-off "underground" and sound their absolute best but make no money; it's only when they mature and release "radio-friendly" tunes in order to make $$$ but compromise their brutal & raw sounds...it's the path of every single Hardcore Heavy Metal Band.
@@thekongstocks Why is it sad? That's like starting a business and never wanting to expand to better yourself. I never heard of PD, until this song was played on the radio. I researched their new and old music and like it all. I saw them live a couple of years ago and bought tickets to see them a second time. I think it's great marketing to establish a new fan base.
This is awesome, got that huge anthemic arena rock feel to it. Everyone's gonna hate, but I reckon hearing it live will change a lot of minds. Wicked video too, must've been so much fun to shoot.
Some people hate bands that evolve. They prefer them to stick to the same stuff album after album. Which is a stupid mindset. Bands evolve or get left in the dust, members mature up and so does the sound. For example, if Gojira kept their original sound they wouldn't be as skilled as they are now. Sticking to the same shit is bad from a creativity point of view and bad from a mental health point of view. Then you'll get the so-called "hardcore" fans who will complain that they haven't evolved while still hating any type of band evolution. You see the problem here?
I don't think I've ever commented on anything but this video is absolutely amazing. And the song....... How in the world is this song not sitting on the top of all charts?
I remember when I was a young teenager and going to see parkway . Even though I prefer there old stuff I’m talking horizons and earlier stuff I’m so stocked to see how big they are and I’ll always support them.. One the biggest bands to ever come out Australia
Great song, fantastic clip, long live Parkway Drive. Every song of yours is so damn good, every album is solid , filled with quality metal tracks, there are no waisted fill-up songs
This Is One Of The Best Songs I've Heard For Many Years.. The Lyrics, Music Song It's Damn AWESOME And The Video Is Insane Amazing The Whole Album Are A Freakin Damn Masterpiece..Love It..Sweden Loves You Awesome PWD 🤘🖤🤘👊💯🔥🇸🇪
Check out Karma, Wishing Wells, Carrion or Boneyards. Just feels like they have gotten more anthemy and less heavy. I prefer the old stuff, but I don't hate their new stuff, its sort of a listenable 'meh' zone.
What drew me to Parkway Drive is the phenomenal guitarist. I will say though I like how the vocalist harmonizes his growly vocals with the music , using his voice as another instrument rather than a traditional vocalist; kind of how Ozzy does or Phil from Pantera. Rather than sounding like some guy screaming over the music, his voice flows with it. Excellent band. Also love their positive messages.
People are calling this song disappointing, however they fail to realize that this is clearly the main single of the album, practically the ''Vice Grip'' of ''Reverence''. They've stated many times that this new album is going to be a lot more aggressive and heavier, so calm your shit. After ''Wishing Wells'' it's obvious that this is going to be a complete monster of a record. Also, this song is super catchy.
Mike Hunt sounds more like the devils calling but yeah i get your point, I really hope the new alabam drill our fucking heads with heaviness just like WW did
honestly the reason I don't like the "metal" community, used to think it was cool being "metal" or "hardcore" when I was a teenager but now I'm older I've realised how fucking pathetic some of these grown ass men are. Parkway rock any style, and I'm glad they are still making tunes and not sticking to what people want them to do.
I'm into video production.. Can someone explain the camera motion to me? It's so fluid with the quick rotations that it doesn't look natural... Want to see if I can go for the same effect though, it's dope.
BrunoScars5089 we used a high speed motion control robot. You pre-program the moves and it can repeat them as many times as you need. The robot is available at a place called Tasty Pictures in Brisbane
I just happened to run into this banger of a video by accident, and I will say I now start my every workout with this song !! I never get tired of it!!!!
Perfect singalong-open-air festival banger! Catchy riffs, smooth build. Not everything has to be 250bpm breakdown into breakdown rager. Every song needs a pace change, so does every album, or else they're boring.
Lamborgatti -47 Lol you got issues dude. I saw like twenty of your comments wich is funny because you apparently hate the song nonetheless you spend a really long time talking about it. People need to learn to move on from things they don't like
Dude this video is the bomb. Wow. Well made, fun to watch. Bad ass song to jam to. Fell like a boss speeding down the interstate with the windows down blasting this song. I’ll see y’all in dallas September 2018
Metal is dying and these comments will certainly show why. The band is amazing. Love the song. However everyone else seems to think that bands are supposed to write music that caters to each individuals preference? I don't know if you've ever been in a band before but it's about the artists expression of theirselves. First and foremost music is written on an emotional foundation that influences and shapes the song. If you don't like how bands write their music or express themselves then what's your excuse for not writing the music you want to hear? Seems to me people just want to complain.
Whitechapel said it the best. “Is this what we’ve become? A self entitled population of scum.” It’s not just metal, this pretentiousness exists everywhere.
I've been listening to as much as I can find from this band I can find I've not seen another like it they evolved from black metal to their own genre this band here will be the new Kings of metal
I remember listening to this when I dropped off my niece for college and my gf and I showed her this song while we parked in the lot. My niece headed out to do her orientation and I had a strong feeling of being proud of her and a melancholy because now she's old enough to take care of herself. I'll be there for her whenever she'll need me. So far it's been almost 4 years and she's had straight A's the entirety and making the Dean's List for her entire college experience in pursuing 2 majors.
Not going to lie, I seen this band live at Welcome to Rockville waiting for Godsmack. THEY STOLE IT. And I am a huge Godsmack fan seen them 17 times so far. Now I am a fan of Parkway. Bad ass music vid good job Brothers. We’re all in the same fight, position doesn’t have anything to do with the end result... we all end up at the same place...
Damn it! This song AND video kicks a.s!I was so lucky that they played it ( and still do ), on Denmarks only rock radio station "MyRock".Love it every time it goes in the air.Thank You, Parkway Drive. And keep up the good stuff!
EpicMusic470 that ideology is a lie and that is undeniable. Don't be so weak, shallow and obtuse to believe that garbage more or less rewrite that nonsensical shitz. Sadly most of you don't realize this is a religion and they're worshipping a god, serving a master, and as we all know.. IN THIS WORLD WE ALL ARE SLAVES TO THIS BEAST SYSTEM
Sabre Wulf Sabre Wulf You're technically right about being slave to law system written by some people on piece of fucking paper after all and whole principle is based on it but this song is not about religion
LegendKiller471 I'm well versed in occultic worshipping, symbolism and luciferian doctrine. No the song isn't about religion nor is that what I meant. You'd be very surprised to understand and know how the power of "belief" can do and conjure. That's why my comment said "Sadly" Yes indeed, we are a slave undoubtedly.
Ketunloikka We're all unfortunately slaves to the system and/or something, that's the point. I've like parkway drive for many years. It's all about the MESSAGE being promoted here, this blante doctrine. Ppl are either to dumb to know, or ignorant to care. Parkway Drive sold out
I ride since 2006 MTB and Motocross I was really happy to got my first fully MTB and gone ride Downhill. I remember you and the deep blue album because you was with me at the trail. Freakin love ya guys Parkway Drive forevaaa🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Epitaph has produced some worthy albums over the years. Parkway drive is a band that crosses gaps which people naturally oppose. Fantastic grooves and production made this worthy of a playlist.
Kinda_Sweet_ Fish In Suicide Silence song called Doris is a chorus with clean vocals. The one line there is sang with falsetto and it sounds like singer was singing something like "teheee".
To be fair you don't know if they are fans just not a fan of this song. Or maybe it's a group hater either way brothers we can appreciate this banger together🤘
I used to listen a lot of rock music but this was the first band and song to introduce me to metal and now I’m in love with metal iso I thank you guys for making a such awesome and compelling song to introduce me to this genre of music At the time of writing this it has been 1 year and a half since I started listening to metal
heading towards Radio Rock? maybe? but in an amazing Parkway Drive revolutionary way :D this is so far the best damn lyrically twisted metal rifting amazing album PD has developed. Good look brothers, this new content is amazing.
Jeff's guitar work is insane. Winston and Jeff are the only 2 members of Parkway who could never be replaced. Without them Parkway would cease to exist!
"It's bad because it doesn't sound like Parkway drive" but you realize this song is by Parkway drive so it does sound like them because they made it, they might've just wanted to change their style a little bit, still sounds really good
Everyone complained when Led Zeppelin changed their sound back and forth. Name another band BOTH in the rock and roll hall of fame, and blues hall of fame. Spoiler alert, you cannot. Zeppelin is the only one. Let them Channel their inner Zeppelin...this world needs more of it. TLDR: Talented bands don't stick to "one" sound.
One of the best bands that not onlygive amazing live performances, but just write great music all around.
Agreed...them, Bmth, disturbed lives are amazing
This song proves there are people still out there writing great music who care about music thank you
For real sir the lyrics to this song and the sounds are just perfect so great and harmonious, one of my favorites.
absolute head banger

Writting meaning Over that in Lyrics Was Pain So They Simply Growled it Out. Comedic. It Was Europpean type...Knight Composition. Not Ameican Type
Same way , I accidentally I found this band and song for a playlist in Spotify, I love it ❤
Reggards from Guatemala
Every lyric to ever come out of parkway has stricken a vital chord everywhere, always meaning something. These guys know what's up, nice rocks brothers. Preach.
That chorus is soulful as hell...if there is a single song that will get me interested in metalcore, it's this one.
If u don't like it up until this point I don't think it's your genre
The hook keeps you hanging on every word
Amazing metalcore song
Try I PREVAIL
“… In your mind, all your demons are rattling chains. Welcome to a world of pain!”
Yeah.. I’ll say.
I love it when music videos put in the extra effort to make something worth watching.
Also, their landlord sucks if they are the ones who have to keep fixing their own apartment while trying to jam.
Rocke
What you think about this man?
Exactly! That was my last complaint from their last song it was just a boring dark vid. This is actually creative. Good job pwd
I loved the other video, it puts you in the mood of the song
The video for Wishing Wells is amazing, I love the anger!
Love the passion with which Winston sings at 02:59...!! Cheers and loads of love from India !!

Sayeef Khan Right?? Haven’t listened to these guys since high school. ADTR, as I lay dying, bullet..some of their new shit is truly epic .

Clearing out my "watch later" playlist from several years ago and I come across this gem. Marvelous.
This video deserves an award for best camera, incredible work.

The camera was on a electronic arm.
Even if it would be AI controlled, it is just an incredible work and deserves recognition for it.
It gives the effect that it is almost shot in one long take.
It’s called cinematography man lmao

Velocisaurusman it’s weird, like I love this. I love their direction but at the same time, I do miss old Parkway drive.

This new sound is going to piss so many people off. I for one however, absolutely love it!
Isn't this just an extension of the last albums sound? How's it new?
That is true, I think it still differs from Ire, based of wishing wells i think they've gone a touch heavier. Lets call it an "evolution"
I will always love PWD but I just don’t think I’ll ever get into this stuff 😔
I personally hated Ire. So pretty much anything thats not that is an improvement to me lol
The prechorus is basically that of Destroyer, copied and pasted...
Parkway is phenomenal from the very first album to the last!
Discovered this song and band a day ago now i’m hooked what a banger of a song.
One of my favorite songs of there's!!! 🔥🖤
My friend showed my this song, made me realize I need to listen to MORE newer metal bands!
One of the best songs in the last 100years hands down

@@VahisMX I'm glad that my metal brother also listens to Synth ❤️❤️
And that too these legends 💀
Damn it! This song AND video kicks a.s!I was so lucky that they played it ( and still do ), on Denmarks only rock radio station "MyRock".Love it every time it goes in the air.Thank You, Parkway Drive. And keep up the good stuff!
Best line "Answer no master, never slave carry on your dreams into the grave"
Sabre Wulf Depends on how you live... Some people just dont give a shit aboyt the system or the laws
LegendKiller471 I'm well versed in occultic worshipping, symbolism and luciferian doctrine. No the song isn't about religion nor is that what I meant. You'd be very surprised to understand and know how the power of "belief" can do and conjure. That's why my comment said "Sadly"
Yes indeed, we are a slave undoubtedly.
Ketunloikka We're all unfortunately slaves to the system and/or something, that's the point.
I've like parkway drive for many years. It's all about the MESSAGE being promoted here, this blante doctrine. Ppl are either to dumb to know, or ignorant to care.
Parkway Drive sold out
I wish there was a way I could like this song and video a million times
I wish my cheap computer speakers played the song louder
Well . .
A: Make a million accounts
or
B: Like and unlike the video a million times a piece
@RecklessMage N well that got awkward real fucking fast 😂😂😂
Make a million accounts?
Listen until you get bored of it, stop listening to it for a while, then repeat.
Forever my favorite band😇
I ride since 2006 MTB and Motocross
I was really happy to got my first fully MTB and gone ride Downhill. I remember you and the deep blue album because you was with me at the trail.
Freakin love ya guys
Parkway Drive forevaaa🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
This is such a dope music video. Cinematography is great
you helped me deal with my alcoholism
It's sad this this comment have not enough attention
But I'm glad for you, brother. I really am :)
More for me;) congrats tho.
🍻
Congratulations on getting out of that! I've seen how tough that can be and you can be fuckin' proud of yourself, bro!
Love the guitar work in this song!
Epitaph has produced some worthy albums over the years. Parkway drive is a band that crosses gaps which people naturally oppose. Fantastic grooves and production made this worthy of a playlist.
Guys, just be grateful that there are no teehees. I can't wait for the new album.
Keenan D not sure what you mean by teehees but I have an idea and I'm glad there aren't any. Lol
Kinda_Sweet_ Fish In Suicide Silence song called Doris is a chorus with clean vocals. The one line there is sang with falsetto and it sounds like singer was singing something like "teheee".
Greatest metal core band ever
Holy shit! This video is awesome. I want to see behind the scenes of that.
Daniel Leonov it's coming.
Honestly it really is...
me too.
Any news ? =P I really wanna see that !
Yea I dig this song and video
I f’n love this song! 62 yrs young n still lovin my metal🎶🎶🎶
Glad to know I'm not the only ol' fart [60] that loves this shit.
304 people literally don't know nothing about good music
And you do? Your nothing special.
Exactly. Although to each their own. If they don't like it them jog on.
To be fair you don't know if they are fans just not a fan of this song. Or maybe it's a group hater either way brothers we can appreciate this banger together🤘
@@noahjanowski9646 I'll agree with you 🤙🍻🤘
I'm from the future....89k people know what good music is.
I used to listen a lot of rock music but this was the first band and song to introduce me to metal and now I’m in love with metal iso I thank you guys for making a such awesome and compelling song to introduce me to this genre of music
At the time of writing this it has been 1 year and a half since I started listening to metal
Yes but try I PREVAIL
They're clearly enjoying themselves with this one. Let them have it
Reece Smith I have no fucking clue in God’s green earth of how they are
Lamborgatti -47 Because they don't care about hipster trash like you.
What are you talking about 😂 parkway drive went full blown hairmetal that's as hipster as you can get
Love Everything From These Guys
heading towards Radio Rock? maybe? but in an amazing Parkway Drive revolutionary way :D this is so far the best damn lyrically twisted metal rifting amazing album PD has developed. Good look brothers, this new content is amazing.
what a song, and what a video. this one has me real hopeful for the next album!

LIVE FOR THIS
This song makes me so sad, it was my friend's favorite song before he died. It's just so catchy that I can't stop listening to it
Some badass music! Just bought the song and my ears has been melting ever since. Kickass job parkway drive!
This song and video are everything music should be.
Omg this song is so addictive thank you parkway drive :)
I suffer from terrible anxiety and this song brings me out
This video is unreal. I've never seen anything like it. The panning back and forth is awesome.
A música mais massa do album, pqp!
This is probably the coolest music video I've ever seen in my life
Check out the videos for Michael Jackson- Thriller, Genesis- Land of Confusion, Soundgarden- Black Hole Sun, and Mastodon- Asleep In The Deep.
Do you know OK Go? It's not metal but they do amazing videos... Full video filmed in zero gravity, or super slow motion, things like that... :D
Super creative for what I imagine can't be a huge budget
Ur "LIFE" sucks...sorry ..
Literally every music video by gorillaz: hold my beer
One of the best tracks out there.
Jeff's guitar work is insane. Winston and Jeff are the only 2 members of Parkway who could never be replaced. Without them Parkway would cease to exist!
Can we all appreciate how excellent the camerawork is?
First listen and I'm hooked
"It's bad because it doesn't sound like Parkway drive" but you realize this song is by Parkway drive so it does sound like them because they made it, they might've just wanted to change their style a little bit, still sounds really good
colby dyess its realy different but gives off an old school vibe
This is my favorite of theirs.
I taste Megadeth in this song
achmad faqih How ?
Can't wait to see u guys in adelaide in September soo stoked will be awesome to see u guys for the first time absolutely love your music
