Agree about The Metal Community - I see so many "metalheads" who bitch-and-moan that a band isn't "heavy" enough, then puss out and hide in a corner when a pit starts at a live show
Chandra DeMichieli after seeing the thing of the chick who got teeth caved in because of a "mosh pit" there's no respect for others in that just a bunch of wankers intending to hurt others

We were discussing the fan base (also in the comment, right above mine). It's ok that you're too scared to get in a pit, that really wasn't the point, no need to be defensive. XOXO
Yup, too many metal fans want their bands to drive around in the same fucked up shitty van, eating cheap pussy, drinking stale beer, living in the Motel in that part of town you don't go to at night, and dead broke so they have no choice but to make the same sounding music to appease the fans that will just go and download it for free anyway. smh. Only then does the band get acknowledged as being "authentic" or true to their "roots". If they get paid, buy big houses, marry chicks with huge tits, and drive nice cars......well then they are sellouts.
Parkway Drive you have a new fan thanks to your 2019 Wacken gig that was live-streamed Saturday, Songs like this, Wishing Well & Crushed got the attention of this old school Metalhead. Gonna check out your last 2 albums.
Annabelle H. That sounds great, can’t wait to see them live next time they come to the UK, if I knew I would have liked them before Wacken I would have gone to see them in Feb, next time though.
I was first introduced to Parkway Drive in 2008 by a band member who was a total Core kid,and dismissed them as another metalcore band, although good, they were just breakdowns and catchy riffs. 10 years later i revisited the band and am COMPLETELY blown away by how fucking good their last 2 albums are and the evolution of the band. The thing I like the most about this band and specifically this song is that the vocalist are well blended into the instruments. I often see that American or western metal bands often focus too much on the vocalist, but c'mon the instrumental part is what gets me going... This vocalist is not too much, or not too weak either. He featuring this vocals well with each instruments. Very good mastering and mixing.
You're not alone Drew. I'm someone not so tunnel visioned, that I can't enjoy different music styles. I think this parkway drive is just as good as 5 years ago and earlier parkway drive. Different does NOT mean bad...

The fact this band has sold out all their true heaviness to become a basic bitch band with no creative lyrics or song writing. They just wanna be on the radio and this music has no emotion or feeling in it. U can hear the cries of "we're just here for the money now". Plus this isn't even a new fucking band they been around 10+years. And they have gotten progressively worse. Just like Bring me the horizon, Memphis may fire, disturbed, and many Other bands who been around 10+years and just looking for radio time now.

I'm happy for myself I'm not "that PWD fan who doesn't like em anymore". I'm their hard fan since 2007 and I still love and appreciate them the same way I did before maybe even more. But I consider it's because back then in '07 I was 15 yrs old and got a bit different taste in music and during all the years I grew up, not just as a woman but even in my preferences music included. I went through a lot of genres and I think they feel it the same way. Everyone sometimes feels an urge for change and I defo agree with it. Just don't listen to them. At Ire there have been a few "untypical" songs too ( Like devil's calling ,Vice Grip or a deathless song), nonetheless Ire is a great album and Im sure a lot of people share the same opinion. Yeah 'confused' is the right word. Not in a terrible way, but think some of these songs need to be listened to in the context of the whole album, not just as singles.
Lyrics wise, everything seems to be good but the songs still lack something, I don't know if it's aggression but I think it's more to do with the tone of the guitars. However, towards the end of this song where there's a little guitar line before the breakdown, it kinda sounded familiar, which I liked. The thing that concerns me though is that Winston said on IG that what the band is capable of in the way of playing ability is "irrelevant". Now coming from a frontman, that seems like a very careless way of looking at it. He's essentially saying that the bands talent/potential doesn't matter. Which means there might not be much creativity in the instruments for the remainder of this album.
My 13 year old son showed me this song a few weeks ago . And PWD have some Surfer influences , I Thought they were saying Pray for the summer . Lol great song guys . Be great to see you live one day . Cheers
Broooo I used to live on a street called parkway drive and we were deadass gonna do this, but the local council had the sign so that it was literally impossible to detach
Parkway Drive hasn't "evolved" as everyone is saying they have. They are simply changing genres. That's their right, and they can do whatever they want, but let's not sugar coat it.
So........they are a metal band. Let's be honest, the only people who give a fuck about subgenres are elitists douchebags. Shit is good and it's metal.
Bands need to evolve and change their sound from album to album else they end up like nickelback where every damn song feels the same. What i do love is that they stick to their source of where they started by not going with whats popular and instead making their own trends. I do hope they go back to doing some more heavy stuff like in atlas as wild eyes is my fav song ever but this while album along with the last was awesome. Keep it up guys look forward to seeing you guys live again.
@@DUxMORTEM Nickelback are hated because of their attitude. That's how it started, but people like you are spreading the memes without knowing anything so now everyone thinks that Nickelback makes the worst music ever made by man, which is not true. They make ok music, some of their songs are above average and I even like a few.
@@billkill37 most of their songs a mediocre and just happen to get awards because the fit the genre of music the people who decide the awards like. Ever seen a metal band at the music awards? Of course not because the people who decide who wins dont like metal. You can even watch some youtube channels about the band and their music itself is heavily the reason, the bands attitude is just the stamp on the case. The biggest issue is for 1 cd they sounded different and in the cd they mad a song about how a girl looks better with "something" in her mouth.
Catchy af!! This album is truly a masterpiece! Sure it's not as heavy as their earlier works but the orchestral work throughout the album along with those Headon instruments and his vocals, show how far this band has evolved and matured!
swifty same dude, this album is not being what I was expecting, I miss horizons and deep blue but you know, artist need to evolve and do different things
I re-iterate "for a few seconds", the way he sings "Attention, attention, welcome to the stage! Your new sacrifice..." sounds like Bruce Dickinson. Compare it to how Bruce sings Run To The Hills right before the first chorus. If you can't hear any similarity, I can't help you. We're just going to have to disagree. lol

Loved their old style, love their new style!! Can't wait to see them live in Vienna in February 2019
Same
So much variety in the new songs they've released so far! This record is going to be awesome! 🤘
I'm literally addicted to this song
very confusing mix of songs so far.. kinda liking it tho.. 🤔
Yeah 'confused' is the right word. Not in a terrible way, but think some of these songs need to be listened to in the context of the whole album, not just as singles.
I actually think this is what makes PWD. I find them to be one of the most versatile metal(core) bands ever. Imo they never had a bad record.
JessWoess is very confunsing
JessWoess its not bad though ive liked every album so far
Cheers
Incredible song! I Can't wait any longer for the new album to drop :O
Winston McCall said in an interview..."We've definitely outgrown metal core. We'll always be heavy and melodic though.
The metal gods have spoken 🤘😁🤘
This entire band is so talented!
Really loving the guitar tones on these new singles, Jeff’s lead guitar sounds so hot
Pinch Castle is it right? The fuckin ender tho was really good
My boyfriend was so hyped to get a ticket for parkway drive in munich, and I didn't understand him until I listened to this great songs😍😍😍
Loving the new sound! This shit is great!
i just made a best of the album on my channel \ M /
I prefer their older songs / albums but this tune is top notch. Keep on rocking Winston and crew !
One of their best songs.
Yes !!
this is insanely good
This makes me want to steal a road sign so many times that they'll have to paint the name on the road.
Random choice, but alright!
Broooo I used to live on a street called parkway drive and we were deadass gonna do this, but the local council had the sign so that it was literally impossible to detach
My favorite song!
Parkway Drive hasn't "evolved" as everyone is saying they have. They are simply changing genres. That's their right, and they can do whatever they want, but let's not sugar coat it.
Winston himself said they've outgrown metalcore. No need to sugarcoat.
@@wolfgangvan-uber6515 outgrown is not evolved.
@@GamingForTheRecentlyDeceased Depends. Makes more money for sure and times doesn't stay still, musicians usually don't have pensions. ;)
So........they are a metal band. Let's be honest, the only people who give a fuck about subgenres are elitists douchebags. Shit is good and it's metal.
@@eldirtyfaygo5395 💯
Bands need to evolve and change their sound from album to album else they end up like nickelback where every damn song feels the same. What i do love is that they stick to their source of where they started by not going with whats popular and instead making their own trends. I do hope they go back to doing some more heavy stuff like in atlas as wild eyes is my fav song ever but this while album along with the last was awesome. Keep it up guys look forward to seeing you guys live again.
Album *_"Feed The Machine"_* by Nickelback says OTHERWISE!!!
@@serhatmuratasbit206 and yet nickelback still sucks and is a meme within the music world.
@@DUxMORTEM you just a hater.
The build up to the solo is just blood pumping!
4:14 "Mr Stark, I don't feel so good"
Juan Pablo Pitti Afonso omg too soon
top kek
That was a ssd scene😢
„Metalcore is dead“
Parkway Drive: HOLD MY BEER
My favorite song by these guys so far. I know it's different from their metalcore back round but I really like this song, it works for these guys.

Your message of live free or die is so badass ! Inspired and a big new fan. Preach on !!! 🤘🙌🙌🙌
3:30 Christians on Sunday
😂😂😂
If you want a band who never changes their sound with each song, I’m sure nickleback would love your support. This song is bad ass.
In love with these songs dude 😍
Catchy af!! This album is truly a masterpiece! Sure it's not as heavy as their earlier works but the orchestral work throughout the album along with those Headon instruments and his vocals, show how far this band has evolved and matured!
This is their most drastically different song yet, but it hits home hard, I can get behind this new direction.
Love it
1st time I listen to this, it's "Okay"
then I push repeat button, it's "WOW"
Thank you so much guys, for the fantastic show in Moscow!! It was very hot!! Come back again, please!)
I was skeptical during the first minutes but that breakdown saved the song hahaha
Arturo del Castillo same
I wouldnt call it a breakdown but yeah it saved the song
its pretty sad we have to endure 3 minutes of dog shit for just a glimpse of awesomeness....
swifty same dude, this album is not being what I was expecting, I miss horizons and deep blue but you know, artist need to evolve and do different things
0:54 I did a double-take, for a few seconds he sounds just like Bruce Dickinson
How does he sound like Bruce Dickinson.
Sounds nothing like him lmao
I re-iterate "for a few seconds", the way he sings "Attention, attention, welcome to the stage! Your new sacrifice..." sounds like Bruce Dickinson. Compare it to how Bruce sings Run To The Hills right before the first chorus. If you can't hear any similarity, I can't help you. We're just going to have to disagree. lol
