Kinda surprised WatchMojo didn’t mention the Slenderman stabbing, which happened in my hometown. In elementary school I actually knew one of the two girls who lured their other best friend into the local woods, then stabbed her as a sacrifice for Slenderman. The girl survived and the girls were arrested five hours later. It actually happened 9 years ago on this very day.

Honestly the transition from “zoom into a small coney” to “Coney went full screen” is a lot smoother than it has any right to be. It feels like the MOMENT the zoom gets in position it cuts to the full screen and that just works

7:42 It was more like some Redditors did some data mining on BF2 when it had lootboxes which included characters and after doing the math, they learned it would take a ridiculous amount of time on average in the late hundreds or thousands to get Darth Vader without paying for lootboxes. EA proceeded to reply to that post and I think might still be the most downvoted post of all time because they tried to say the grind was part of the experience. Then the lawsuits came. Surprisingly fun game though after all the dumb shit was removed.

Hey, for anybody wondering why Bloody Mary is so common and why some people actually seem to swear by it, even though nothing happens to 99% of us. The visual illusion that they are swearing by is actually called the Troxler Effect. In summary, when you stare at a simple or stagnant pattern with little to no outside stimulation, you're brain gets bored and looks for stuff that isn't actually there. It does this because in a normal environment, there is plenty to process and fill your peripherals with when you aren't actually looking at something. But when you stand in a dark room, staring at your reflection, your brain just starts making stuff up. Because there just has to be SOMETHING there, right? This is also why videos of the phenomenon wouldn't work with any consistency. It's just a vague optical illusion, caused by your brain trying to over correct for a lack of new stimuli.

Dude Battlefront 2 is so fun to watch, it's such a cool game, it's the only game outside of pvz gw2 that kinda gives me that feel gameplay wise, it really sucks they ruined it!
I remember PvZ GW2, people still play it to this day, but that’s only because bfn got thrown into the trash can after a whole year of official support
@@hyperlink0366 it sucks, I actually rlly liked bfn, if you see it outside of the context of it being worse in almost every way than its masterpiece of a predecessor it's still a rlly good game imo, and with just a bit more official support it could have become great. It's sad to see how low the pvz franchise as a whole but especially the console shooters have come...
They manged to turn it into a legitimately really good game a couple years after launch, but nowadays I'd say you missed the window. The games pretty much dead and the only people who still play it are weird hard-core sweats who don't seem to realize that the game was designed to he super casual.
@@byrontheusurper6505 Yh, I would have liked it if bfn got more than a year of support, at least as much as gw2 did in my opinion. I know they were supposed to add more characters to the game after wizard, wildflower and tv head, but I have no clue which ones. While I still prefer GW2 in terms of gameplay and the character variants (which bfn for some reason didn't bring back), I think bfn had a better campaign and better bosses to fight. So much potential for this game to be really good, especially since it had so many good ideas. For example, neighbourville is pulled directly from the comics, there's even a prequel comic that dictates events just before bfn (I know that because I have the comics, but neighbourville looks completely different in the comics compared to bfn ). But I guess it just wasn't meant to turn out that way.

Slight elaboration on the Overwatch 2 issues since I’m very familiar with then.
On launch, you were only allowed to play the game if you also connected a phone number WITH A PHONE PLAN to your account. That means anyone without a phone, on pay-for-call plans, kids too young, and others can’t play. And with it being a free download, it’s not a good image of “you’re too poor to play our free game”.
Servers being bad on launch: you don’t understand. There were at times people and streamers recording 4 hour queue times. It was BAD. And a lot of people speculated it was because they just reused old OW1 servers and never actually tried to make the servers good on launch. On top of that the servers were not stable and constantly kicked players out, restarting their queue.
Hating the new shop: setting aside player preference of the old system, some of the stuff Blizzard tried to do was literally illegal in some countries. And that was about the same time people realized you get more OW2 tokens by playing WoW than by playing OW2.

Battlefront 2 is still a very good game to play today. Sucks that EA made the DICE devs ditch the game so they can create Battlefield 2048.
Look Cyberpunk has a lot of good in it. I really like the story, the different endings, the world and some of the side quests are cool, like the fight club. Character customization is unique and it's cool making your own build if you wanna be a fighter or a stealthy hacker kinda thing. But holy shit is the game jank as all hell. Bugs aside it just feels so ass to play.

Surprised they didn't mention FFXIV. Its launch was so bad, they had to close the servers for 6 months and literally being about the apocalypse in-game to fix all the mistakes.

Another game to add to worst launches is Mario Strikers: Battle League. It was good in concept, but it didn't have much to play, especially compared to other Mario sport titles. Plus, they botched the online.
OW2 PvE is still happening, this was entirely blown out of proportion. The part that was scrapped was the Hero Challenges. That's the mode that had the Skill Trees, not the campaign, which is still happening. They also announced that it'd come out in parts every season or so about a year ago. So no, Overwatch 2 PvE is very much still happening.
It sucks, I was rlly exited for ow2 and I casually enjoyed the game because of course I did, I casually enjoyed ow1 too, as soon as I get my switch back I'm propably redownloading the game again. My overwatch phase has long passed though (sadly never got to play it back then), but I still love the franchise, and it's so sad to see a once so powerful IP with so much creativity and love and potential crumble and decay for seemingly no reason!
I’ve always had a couple of itchings for OW every now and then, and it’s always fun for like 2 weeks before Overwatch Reality sets back in.
It’s honestly one of the most uniquely interesting, polished modern FPS game. Cool characters, interesting mechanics and interactions. And it sucks that the managment refuses to spend even a fucking cent to make it a good game.
They did say “Overwatch 2 will re-define what a sequel is” and BY GOD DID IT
