The form factor and single-button operation do strike me as a bit of a "first generation" product type setup but very interesting functionality overall, for sure. I could see this being useful for people with, say, a TV mounted above a fireplace and the switch on the mantle, or any sort of scenario where you might want to have the console unreachable but still playable (say, an after school daycare).
I wonder if you could daisy-chain these together...
28 slots in... The console is having trouble loading from the furthest carts. Don't know if signal or power loss.
Handy for those with just the right amount of games to fill every slot. Or to maybe run a themed set of games.
