Thanks for the tips! I will not be grinding through the Swedish line past the jet J21s for now. Unless the next J29 is actually good then I shall retract my statement.

The J29f is a great plane, and all the planes after it are also great,
J29F is really goodbif you know how to play it. Play energy and be carefull with aams and you will enjoy it. J32 was exellent but now its trash i think. I havent flown A32 so i cant tell if thats good or bad.
Should have titled it "Short Stubby Bugger" Boss, truly a missed chance haha. Good vid :)

I have been playing war thunder for about a year now and I have not long started playing in RB and so far this week I have learnt two new things.
1. I have learnt how to dive bomb (I don’t always manage to destroy things like a base but I can hit them).
2. I learnt how to land and take off on an aircraft carrier

My first battle in this "thing" I scored 7 kills...my first and only good match. 170 matches followed, and after that I sweared to myself that I would not have played the B (nor the A) ever again...
Fun fact: I crashed a dozen of times in Afghanistan cos the runway was too short for this shit to take off...

I have never felt so powerless than when i fly this jet. It's a challenge to even get the guns on target, let alone out fly the sabers and mig 15's
yeah, this plane is put ingame as a challenge to veteran jet pilots ;) for anyone else its the crappiest crap.
I think this jet suffers a lot due to the compressed BR's and etc.
play mig 9 and yak 15 you will know what's real suffering
@@kingghidorah8106 Apart from ammo count, Yak-15 is pretty good tbh. MiG-9 is not as much suffering as J-29B

No Jengar. The worst jet in War Thunder remains (and will always be) the Heinkel 162. Great vid BTW
just fly low and fast u will always beat ur opponents in speed and do hit and runs amazing plane for its br of 6.3 if u play it strictly
The guns are the same Hitsparkos used by the British and French, but without the useless HEF-SAPI or Practice rounds

Real plane was in pair with mig 15 and sabre in performance. Reopresentation in game is a part of soviet propaganda

Playing this jet is abysmal. Uptiers, and getting sprayed isn't fun, especially when you lose money and not gain research

I really don't like 7.7s and 8.0s because of uptiers. Constant full uptiers. J28 on the other hand has constant downtiers, which happens often on 7.3.

I love this game and have been playing it for 5 years now (air,tanks,heli's and ships)...could't wait to get up to jets but not loving the jets to be honest (i am up to tier 6 jets)...love the props and i wish, really wish with all my heart that Gaijin listen to players and go back to a WW1 aircraft game mode, that would make my day :D

Don't run the air target belts for they use HEF-I and that incendiary componet is what causes lots of the sparks. The default belts contain HEFT, now THATS what you want in your belts running this plane.

yeah, maybe it feels like that because those 13.2 mm's are so damn good ;)

Well in sim it's a pile of trash. J28B (Vampire FB5) is a much better aircraft, even though it's 0.7 BR lower
The only good thing about it is the huge ammo load that allows you to just hold the trigger and pray.
it is a falling brick and the 20mm cannons are lacking. initially the j29 was a turny beast but they have slowly nerfed the hell out of it's maneuverability, speed retention, and the effectiveness of the cannons. i also believe its the worst jet in the game with an extremely poor battle rating the j28b is way better.

I don't know how but so far this is the only jet I actually do good with. I do a bit better with this than the J28. I just stay low and fast, I don't go above maybe 2 km and try to use and maintain my speed. I find that I'm able to outspeed most of my enemies even when I get lumped in with the J29F

@viaze3622 I don't fully remember but you have to really avoid turning/make your turns extremely mild

I would love to see a review of the longwing meteor now that it has been moved down to 7.7, IMO it was perfectly good at 8.0 and it will absolutely club downtiers now
7.7 doesn't get downtiered fortunately for german players in ww2 jets

It was introduced in 1951 and the mig 17 was introduced one year later. I think I know which one is better.
@@level30boss27 I think Ian means that it was a beast compared to what others had, not what the top dog was. When the J29 was introduced most countrys used planes like the vampire or even props like the P51. Im not trying to say it was the best fighter but it was definetely not bad and after all it even broke two speed records.
Held a lot of records first years in service. But a deathtrap, think like a third of all built crashed. Many deadline young airmen .
@@raygus999 Thats common among most early swept wing fighters though. Inexperienced swept wing pilots+extreme speed isn't a good combination
In a straight line at sea level you can maintain 1000km/h. You have to keep very fast and kinda play it like boom and zoom but using speed instead.

Rank 6 might be better for Sweden balance-wise, but mechanics-wise it's overall awful imo. Missiles are by far the least enjoyable part of the game for me tho, so if you like insanely powerful AAMs, rank 6 will probably be your favorite! I just think it takes a lot of the fun and skill out of the fights
i prefer props mate ;) rank VI will not give me as much joy as the props do.

the j29d premium is a very good plane if you learn how to bait and catch people off guard with its afterburner energy retention

stealth is better of course when you're comfortable with jet aim. Im not atm.
@@jengar6258 yeah but still, most planes have other belts that have tracer rounds mixed with other more effective types of ammo.
I never go full stealth, but I think going full tracers is overkill.

Still not as bad as the F9Fs.. the la15... the yak 30.. the he162 the me262 ect. Alot of aircraft in warthunder get stepped on just so things like the sea hawk 100 can get kills

Me: m.d.150b and m.d.150o... there 7.7 if I'm correct or 7.3 but I'm always facing the G.91 and mig 19... plus the guns are ass.
It is not, it outclasses mig 9 in every aspect. Mig 9 is beyond useless. No acceleration, fragile, low tolerant to high G, snappy wings and has the worst guns of the game (funnily the highest caliber anti fighter guns are the worst)
It was a hypothetical question ;) of course there's other bad jets that might be worst.
For me, i managed to at least one score kill dead in every game, or rekting the entire match with current ration is 1:1.3 . The key of playing this is playing like crippled version of MiG 15, which you have to climb to 3000m somewhere and then do dive and zoom, people rarely climb in that br.
The worst is the Premium J29D
we can debate that ;), their both not good, thats for sure!
@@jengar6258I think the premium is more because you pay real money for it and he is a big trash I think the J29D can't do anything good against his opponents and you face a lot of 9.3 matches.
What about the he 162? It's a bad jet too.
It's not a bad jet, the engine just overheats a ton.

Ah jets. Few days ago i got my Mig15 Bis crewed again. I wanted to actually play jets where there is skill involved and not point-click to kill missiles. Oh boy how i was dissapointed. The moment i saw people using AAM i went nope. Went to the hangar and abandoned the jet. Cancer.
Why not play the Me262 or Ho229 you ask? Because of F89-D and fighting post war jets that are better than yours in every way.
Don't play anything be it tanks or airplanes past 5.3 BR. That is my golden rule.
It's funny how Gaijin "balances" the game.
"This german plane has many 20mm cannons so it's bad bad, no bueno. It's actually good and fun to play so we will increase it's BR fighting planes from 1946+ year and it's repairs to 20, 000+ SL."
When it comes to AAM and German/Russian Mig-15, also Me163.
Gaijin - you will fight AAM missies while you have none. Also non-historically we made the 30mm cannon of your Mig15 very bad at doing damage. You will also have to pay a unreasonable repair cost. ENJOY the BALANCE!
American pilot from the korean war - i put all of my ammo into the Mig15 and it still kept going...
*in game* single 50.cal burst from 2km away blow your jet in pieces.
Russian pilot - once i hit a Sabre with my 30mm it wasn't going home.
*in game* 30mm crits and crits and crits and enemy plane flies like you did nothing.

Off topic: anyone else think that the Swedish 13.2mm are a little op? Just used the J22B in air domination (arcade). The only upgrade I had was ammunition belts. Finished 11-0. A lot of that has to do with the decisions the enemy made, but still.....planes just turned into shrapnel as soon as I started shooting them. Kind of ridiculous.
13.2's are very powerful, but i don't think they're OP because the aircraft they're mounted to are not excellent for the most part (suffer from low climbrate syndrome). Of course thats in RB, AB doesn't matter. That place is a shitshow and always has been.
