I think my younger cousins need to hear this. I was never big on titles, my husband is the longest I ever had. While I was dating I never made any new relationship official until I knew what was going on. We need to teach young girls and boys what dating is.... To manage expectations and assumptions..... My words right out of my mouth, I said to my mom when she asked what went wrong between me and my ex-husband and I said to her I fell inlove with the person he pretended to be and eventually he couldn't keep up with the act so true colours started showing and man oh man after investing a good 8yrs dating and one year of marriage and two beautiful boys I faced my biggest fear and just left and started all over again, my life is not perfect but I've been at so much peace oh my🙌

I like how informative your content is Mpoomy. it's relatable. It really helps us (the youth) to take informed decisions about our life in general. Not that we CANT take them on our own, but hearing someone elses experiences and realizing that you've walked that path and perhaps struggled to deal with the situation, it may help with the future similar encounters. I love how the both of you do not paint your life "perfect" as Christians as well.

I love the importance of expressing your intention from the onset, WHATEVER the intention is. It truly eliminates a lot of doubt and insinuations. If it’s “I like you but I want to take time to get to know you”, it’s OK. The person still has a choice on whether they want to linger on or not. I love the importance of also expressing your idea of a relationship. My husband said to me after 2 months of getting to know each other…”I want to marry you but if you have no intentions of getting married, let me know so I move on”. In that moment I just thought “what dude is this”…but it spoke about intentionality and it made me refocus and rethink as well. A great video for our young couples “courting” or having intention to truly want to start something. LET US NOT IGNORE FLAGS…they won’t go away if you don’t address them.
