I painted a 69 Nova that color turned out perfect can't beat PPG i'm cerified in it and love it more then any brand out there. That job you did was nice well done.
1978 Datsun 280 is one of my favorite cars of all time!! It's literally a race car that you can drive on the street!! I would have picked a different color myself. But amazing work as usual guys!

My car got painted completely blown apart, and I was tasked with putting it back together after everything was painted. I feel like it needs painted again because it's extremely hard not to ding and scratch things, putting it together, or transporting painted parts back and forth between the shop and home. This car you guys did came out very nice! Love the content

i feel the need to jump on here and spread my thoughts first attention to detail from start to finish second has two parts first part the sealer you use is giving you every opportunity to succeed third your gun is helping you to succeed i am not by any mean taking away your skills but i have seen painters that have been spraying for ten or twelve years that cannot on there best day lay paint down like that and its got a lot to do with gun, gun set up, materials , a good plan of attack , and skills but from sitting back and watching how that gun lays the product down is nothing short of a miracle and last the way that sealer still looks wet and smooth when your ready for base oh well im speachless after that i have been in the painting buisiness since the 90s ok 80s so i have seen all of the systems all of the guns and a hole bunch of hackery going on but not at HOUSE OF PEARLS
My oldest brother always said "newspaper is free, tape cost" when he thought I was over taping. I had a windshield covered and was reading something. He came up behind me and ripped it out, rolled it up, stuck it in my back pocket and told me I could take it home, no charge. At 15-16ish years old and ur 17 years younger.....you live with it. That was in the late '60's, RIP big bro.
HI ALL Well the old datto Porsche has some amazing colors I went with Porsche Electric Blue 89 on my XC ute chick puller lol lumpy 351with shinny globlines rims as all kids lol spent a fortune on it thx
Yep, first 2 PITA job's at my dad/brother's body shop, sanding and taping door jams. Just had my car completely repainted after IAN hurricane, they didn't tape the jams. I had no idea they wouldn't, he said nobody does. I called a couple other shop's and was told the same. Damn shame.
Amazing job you got there from start to finish. But just my opinion would be in stead of tarp you got there on the floor I wouldn’t I would rather pour some water over the floor it makes dustless. Unless the floor isn’t in good shape. Cheers. 👍👌
We use short tweed office style carpet. We’ve found it keeps the dust down far better than water without introducing humidity or puddles to splash around with the hose.

When i was painting bmws in vandalia ohio i used 1/8nich fine line to tape off the jams just pull it right after your last coat of clear zero edge gl

We did 3 coats of base, just didn’t record the entire time because it’s super repetitive. I forgot to notate when editing that 3 coats were applied
