There is hope for us two finger people.
There is hope for us! I am the fastest typer in my class with 52 wpm, and I'm the only one typing with 2 fingers!
I can hit 105 WPM as my record with 2 fingers. Those who tell you that you're doing it wrong probably type 80 lol.
hypnophantic I type two fingers and can get around 110-127 WPM ( 127 being my highest WPM I've ever gotten )
I got 160 WPM as my highest and I'm a two-finger typist.
@@astralpotato5067 Sorry but that's impossible hehe xd
That`s kinda cool but anyone who has ever gone to typeracer knows that typing without errors is much harder and slow you down significantly.
*slows
Renan da Silveira Santos I have a 115 average on typeracer with the same technique here
124 average on typeracer with a two finger method.
I'm really quite amazed...In typing tests that are available online ~100 words per minute is a pro typist...but there's a flood of people over that with two fingers, supposedly?! Sorry, but that's hard to believe. Unless you mistook CPM (characters per minute) with WPM (words per minute)...at least some of these claims statistically are false.
@@astralpotato5067 Yea, also me, about 120 wpm with only two fingers, i've used this method for years
I don't know what to do with this information
Some videos are harder to process than others
Notice, how you can't see his face while he's typing? Honestly the major benefit of touch typing is that you don't have to look at your hands and keyboards to type.
For the first time in seven years, I just typed 121 WPM with two fingers, I've now managed to end with that score on typeracer twice. While this guy is probably more consistent than me, I think it's incredible that I'm approaching the level of a guy who was featured on a channel like WIRED!
you use pecking?
@@jamarlucman1603 If you mean just using my index fingers than yeah
I can do way beyond 121 WPM with the small price of accuracy
@YoIamBoredTV91 Hunt and peck?
same i got 122 im tryna learn all fingers now coz if i got 122 on 2 i can prolly get more if as i get used to it
Sorry, he's using his thumb. Disqualified from the 2 finger category! Also, is the 119 wpm calculated with autocorrect on like he has in the video?
Also using ring finger to hold shift. Disqualified!
If you are using your thumb to make a space it is not considered typing. Yeah, it is on the keyboard, but it is not the numbers or the letters. Same with the ring finger using the shift button. Typing tests don't go by your spaces or if something is Caps or not, they go by how many words per min. Hope that makes sense.
I would of liked it if he used a typing site that actually tracked the wpm like 10 fast fingers. Just so ik it's actually 119 wpm.
givememore4free
How do you know what is considered to be a word if you don't have spaces??
Thumb =/= finger
"the quick brown fox jumps over the
i forgot the rest"
I CACKLED
it jumps over the lazy dog silly.
Typing teachers are cringing right now.
No they aren't. In real life he can't type that fast without scripted text. Also, he has to keep his eyes on his fingers at all times. We don't do that, in fact, I often look and talk to another person while typing faster than him comfortably. It's impossible to do that with just 2 fingers.
I can type with two fingers and not look at the board. Once you get used to it, it isn't hard.
I do hunt and peck at 77WPM and I don't look at my keyboard at all.
+Tanya That is 100 percent not true, I know the keyboard layout compeltely and don't have to look at all and can hit 100-105 wpm with 2 fingers. You are just stuck in this traditional way of thinking you are doing it the "only" or "essential" way when really your preference doesn't make it perfection. Typing teachers used to dog on me for typing hunt and peck style when they were only at like 85-90 wpm. I'll keep my "broken" style if that's the case.
i type with 2 fingers only and never look at my keyboard.... Nothing special at all.
0:40 i knew it- he's a demon. it's rshift
oh no
I have never in my life used Right shift ctrl or alt
I type with one thumb, 250wpm
I doubt you could back up that claim, but I can type 251 wpm myself.
When I was in the womb I could type at 300 WPM.
i can type at 290wpm with my nose
Guillermo Valle 😂😂😂
send us a video of you typing with your thumb lol link us to one pls
I type with two fingers (index fingers) as well, my wpm is 70-80. I’ve been typing with two fingers ever since elementary school and I could never get the handle on how to type with all my fingers. I gave up trying to learn it after attempting it and only getting 20-30 wpm. Some people find it weird that I do that but that doesn’t seem like it’s my problem.
ohhh my god i love scpf
@@krotle8238 Yeah, it’s fascinating.
Autocorrect makes a massive difference. I’d love to have seen that typed on a manual typewriter, significant sections would have been completely illegible.
literally ive been my whole life typing with 2 fingers
:(
you can get pretty fast with only 2 fingers
i typed with two fingers and just started learning to type with 8, used to type with 2 fingers at ~70 words p/m and now I type arround 30 words per minute with 8. it is so hard
I use 6 fingers excluding my pinky fingers.
i tried learning the right way of typing but I couldn't be bothered relearning the way I typed lol. i type with three fingers (basically two but I use thumb for the spacebar) and I average 85-90 wpm
@@fezzes428 same three fingers here, but i just got 70 wpm :")
@@zahaaryapurnama2549 i use my left index and middle finger and right index to type and i get 110 wpm
More fingers = higher skill cap, not necessarily higher skill
Re-learning with more fingers can be hard, but if your wpm is low anyways I think its worth the effort
Ive started learning how to physically force my fingers down on the keyboard to type faster and it actually works really well
Ive been doing the same thing for 5 years! I guess when i was new i only used 2 fingers and typed slowly then gradually increased in skill
He's the next DC super villain.
In all seriousness, it would be an improvement as longs his mother isn't named Martha as well.
technically not two fingers, the true hunt and peck involves searching for the space bar for at least 2 seconds cuz it's the hardest key to find, then proceeding to use your non-dominant index finger and slam on it
I kind of use two fingers on each hand, sometimes my middle finger on my left hand or even right hand to hit some of the keys, I've just adapted this way of typing. Basically I prefer to type this way rather than touch type, as if you're not hurting yourself and you're comfortable, then do what you love.
TYLER1's FATHER
HAHA
lol
the quick brown dog jumped- wait
I'll make sure to turn on autocorrect the next time I take a typing test too.
Hahah bro! It's an art form. I've only ever typed with two fingers my whole life however because of the excessive amount of time playing computer games (counter strike in particular), I subconsciously have mastered 3 different fingers on my left hand around the "w, s, a d" area. Now I have this strange combo going on where I'm using only one finger on my right hand and 3 on my left xD
same
We are using the unorthodox style. Touch typers or something are cringing but it is what it is
The shakiness of this camera is peaking at astronomical levels.
117 with two fingers? Try my 164 ;)
the king is here
I average about 95WPM when typing, I don't use my thumbs for space bar either. If I really push myself I can reach about 118WPM, but my accuracy falls to about 85-90%, whereas I usually sit at 95% or higher at my normal pace. The problem is that my brain is really slow at processing language, both when talking/listening and reading, and also when writing my own thoughts like right now. Those speeds are for memorized paragraphs. I would not make a good transcriptionist, haha.
Writing this took about 5 minutes, mainly due to long pauses after each phrase; perhaps if you look closely you can see that due to my writing style, lots of commas and semicolons. :)
I am a two finger typer. I type 110 wpm on average.
some typing teacher might think:are you trolling me lmao
The table shaking gave me anxiety 😂
That moment when you remember you forgot to do your online essay
thank you for affirming me. my WPM is like under 60 rn but i don't actually believe thats all my potential. I will keep practicing
Other people: ur slow
Me typing:
Other people: **instant regret**
I did a wpm word test and got a 70, I don't have to look at the keyboard. I used a Apple magic keyboard as well, which isn't the easiest to use due to the size but it was ok. For some reason I never learned how to use more than 2 fingers because I was always fast and felt like I don't need to learn. I kinda wanna learn how to use all 10 because I feel like I"ll be faster
i don't realize the title and the video itself that he typing with only 2 fingers until it was told at the end of the video
ok but the table tho- what if the coffee starts spilling hahaha
Like a lot of people, I learned to type with typing programs and I do it pretty proper. I type every single day and I still only type 70 WPM. So this is super weird. I bet it just has to do with applying yourself. Just goes to show how much better we can become with direct attention to becoming better.
@MY GAMING ZONE I just learned via "type to learn" where you rest your fingers on asdf jkl; I don't actually practice I just type in games and notepads and comments every day.
@@jackmiddleton2080 i can type both ways but typing with 2 fingers is more fun and faster for me
wasted year on those learned nothing. there are physical limits to non rich humans
wow! I've been typing with two fingers for the longest time and I've found it to be faster than trying to learn touch typing
i average 202 wpm on monkeytype, learn touch typing, trust me bro.
@@kooltyme it's hard since I'm used to hunting and pecking 😭
Master of online arguments.
this gives me hope
IKR, I hated that stupid class in my private school, it has messed me up so much, but now I type with what ever fingers are available and close, and have been doing fine ever since... I actually can look up most of the time with out many mistakes.
More motivation for my one handed typing.
Now you just need a decent keyboard.
hunt and peck typign is something I have been doing my whole life since Ilearned at the age of how to type.. the teacehrs in computer class did not like me for this reason… but only something like two people in my life have ever noticed that i am actually typing the letters on the keyboard with two fingers
The typist is a legend.
I always thought it was a bit odd for me that I never learned to type with all my fingers. I have only used my 2 index fingers my whole life
Typing with all of my fingers are uncomfortable to me, since I adapted my fingers to Hunt and Peck Typing (I also use my middle and ring finger as well).
puts one thumb on space, the other on shift, then also using the index fingers...
look at my 2 finger writing
when the teacher says you can't learn to type with 2 fingers
Jeez the guy was shaking the table!
the table was shaking dude
I mean I use the hunt and peck method as well however I use 2 fingers on each and and pinkie as shift if needed.
I type at about 90 wpm with about 3 fingers. Hunt and peck with my right index and the left third with my left hand, somewhat stationary. I use spacebar with my index tho and that makes everything a bit slower aswell. I do want to learn 10 (or rather 9 because I don't think I'd use my left thumb) finger typing so I can improve beyond 100 wpm.
I use 3 fingers - 2 middles and right thumb. Learned on a typewriter as a child (7). About 75 WPM,
I actually type like this a year ago. Now, my left hand use 5 fingers for typing but my right hand is stucked at 2 (since i always play games)
idk if it's worth my input but i type with 2 (technically 5 including my left thumb to press shift and my right to press space, as well as alternation between my left pointer and index finger and my right pointer finger) fingers at a top speed of 98wpm (average 87 give or take) with 100% accuracy if the words are common. lowest accuracy is probably close to 96%. anyway i will admit some things are harder to type like i have a lot of speed with my left hand but some of the things i type with my right hand i get stuck on the keys. this may be because i'm left handed but probably because my right hand is positioned farther up which doesn't let me hit as many of the symbols on the right side. i am quite impressed with my accuracy though.
good for you joe
I died because this is so satisfying.
finally i have found my opponent
I'm a two-finger typist too!
I typed slowly when I use my ten fingers like 10 wpm hahahahah but when I use my two fingers, I got 45 wpm.
I've just realised I type with only one finger on my left hand and two fingers on my right hand 😂
Me 2
Similar but instead of two fingers on the right hand it's on the left
I typed this with my forehead. It was almost instantaneous.
I kept typing the method he's doing because I played Runescape at a young age and never had computer classes to teach me the 10 finger method, although I was the fastest typer in my class growing up.
thank god im not the only one who types like this...
now i have something to back me up when the teacher tells me to type with like all my fingers!
I use 9 fingure technique. Still type avg 3wpm to max 42wpm including caps, symbol and nums etc
Bet he had to look at the keyboard though
I never cared about using all of 10 fingers to type. As a teen i spent so much time practicing tapping for guitar solos that using 2 or 3 or 4 fingers is more then enough. That's how i think of it when typing, i'm tapping a keyboard solo fast and with lots of notes with minimal effort :)
Sure but don’t expect to type as fast as 170wpm. My PB on type racer is 196wpm
@@o.v4069 Who???
can i get lonk for keyboard you're using
You gave us hopes ❤️🙏
imagine this man tying with 10 fingers
I can type around this speed with my two fingers and thumb for my space bar with around 112 words per min.. But its a lot of effort to keep doing it and right now im looking up a few videos on how to type with all of my fingers so I can type even faster
That guy is talented.
Lmao thats exactly how i type anyway, i cant type with more than two fingers
do your fingers get strain alot
so i am unusual in that regard piss
With all of my fingers, the maximum I could archive was 84WPM so far... Can't imagine if he learned touch typing... 🤣
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog!
If he doesn't have auto correction he would have got half the text miss spelled.
I use two fingers and I can reach around 130 WPM. As seen on my channel. Though I do sometimes have the habit of learning how to use more fingers to type faster and more efficiently.
Cap
uvouba 2 Was a year ago, my bad. I meant two fingers on each hand.
@@astralpotato5067 Fair enough
Do u look at keyboard or without looking at keyborad
Thank god im not alone
I type with 2 fingers on each hand. I can also type fast like this, but my 2rd grade teacher did not like this and tried to get me to switch. So she put me on a website where you learn how to type, and I practiced 2 fingers on each hand. I still type like that.
I can type with all fingers normally but always use only the middle ones
I have nice fancy custom keyboards and it makes me feel unworthy to type with 2 fingers lmao, but I do type at 65-75 wpm, which isn't terrible.
Ngl that was neat. But we all know that whole hand typing is the way to go.
thats what i did and thats how fast i was but like 3 days ago i started learning to touch type because if you get good at it its just better than 2 finger typing
Something i can relate to
doingmy -> dingy
Is the "proper" way of typing worth learning? Like for an office job.
Genuine question here. I never learned typing, so I use whatever fingers that are more convenient at the time when I type. I usually type at about 60 wpm, which is ehh, but enough for normal use.
My english teacher can type 165 wpm, but she has to use her whole hand
there is hope for us two finger people.
Nice editing
Good for you mate.
THIS IS EXACTLY ME LOL
I can type 56 wpm with 2 fingers but my keyboard is like bulky so it’s weird if I had a keyboard where the keys weren’t as bulky and stuff I could most likely get 70-80 wpm
feels like a commercial. Still nice to know
he's a n00b
My Twin Brother types with 2 fingers and he does 110 wpm (120 was his record) however he uses his pinky for shift and thumb for spacebar, so im not sure if hes really a 2 finger typer...
that's nice
School tried to teach me how to type the "Normal way" but it never stuck. I been doing it like this for years. Not with just two fingers mind you, but primarily hunt and pecking it :D
My grandma would be proud
i just realized that im typing with only two fingers when ive been typing like that for 6 to 7 years
i type with 2 fingers too and got 120-130 wpm in middle school. Not sure what my speed is now as I'm 26. i use my middle fingers for shift and enter.
i use 3 fingers and people call me weird for this. on my left hand i use my middle finger to type, on my right i use my index finger to type and thumb for spacebar
my fastest avg on typeracer was 91WPM but good job man, that's fast , and I mostly use oni two fingers
