HOW I REVIEW:
As you might know from my „How I make a buying decision“ video: Rather than just looking at the pros, I like to evaluate the cons or flaws of an item and then evaluate if I can live with them. That is why in my video reviews I concentrate more on the cons of an item rather than going over all the features. Therefore everything shown is just a fraction of all the points that go into the verdict and score of an item.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A QUICKLOOK AND A REVIEW:
A Quicklook usually covers pre-production units or items that I only used for a short period of time. While Reviews cover final items that I have reviewed intensively.

Thank you, Bo! This video confirms my immediate thought when the bag came out, which is 'love it but' wish it would be more compact or at least have options to compress. This bag is awkwardly balancing in that threshold zone: the more I utilize the available space/dimensions the more the carry setup starts to lack.
As you said, it's fine for short trips from car-to-lodge or gate-to-plane but that would undersell and overprize this bag. IMHO
Compression straps or the ability to add straps would be great. Good idea.

hmm i think ur supposed to unbuckle the side buckles during access. it makes the opening much wider, like a doctor's bag, which is a main feature of the bag they advertised. the aluminium stays help it to open smoothly too
Nobody needs a side handle on a duffel bag, at least not on the TD35. That loop created by the lips being attached to the side by the clips is enough to hook your hand/palm underneath and pull it out of the overhead bin.

Same, I don't like its form when using the shoulder strap. Which is generally the way to use a duffle.
I actually think the styling is perfect. I could see some photographers or videographers using this for work. It would look professional in any environment, but on the street it would just look like a basic gym bag, and not attract attention.

Does the bag form to your body or does the foam prevent that? Duffles are nice but get heavy when fully loaded.
Considering the laptop slot being best on your back, it doesn't shape. But if you don't carry a laptop it does shape a bit

Almost a Tardis. If this is fully or almost fully packed out, how easy is it to access the zippered pocket inside the bag? I didn't notice you saying anything about that. If it is too annoying to get into, I don't know if I would want to use it for my passport while in the airport.
Now we know why you became a UA-camr. 🤣
If the bag is full to the brim, it is harder to get to that zippered pocket. But considering the importance of the item I side, I do feel like it is an ok downside.
