Never heard her speak before seeing this interview.. my goodness what a beautiful speaking voice she had. No hint of an accent at all to start, but the lady like effort she put into it.. that's something you don't so much anymore. She had confidence in herself but wasn't over arrogant; just seemed like a sweet and talented lady. Such a shame what happened to her she deserved so much better; but at least she lived a happy life from the way it looked. Rip Vicki and Dick! He did a great job here too.. none of the music people today have his style sadly.
Anyone who has seen her perform live can thank his/her lucky stars. Been occasionally exposed to TTBA from 'the start' (once or twice a year at best) and recently saw one of her other TV-appearances on a Friday Dance Classics-show for the first time. One can only guess what she'd been up to if she was still with us.
Cleaning the house on Saturday afternoons and watching American Bandstand and later on Soul Train, priceless memories. RIP Dick Clark, Don Cornelius and Vicki Sue Robinson, gone too soon, at least they are frozen in time forever on You Tube..
That was the routine in our house, too., back in the 70’s and early 80’s. It took twice as long to clean the house because we were constantly stopping to watch the bands and dancing.
Dick Clark was one of the greatest in every sense. Really knew how to carry an interview, conduct a show from a game show to an awards ceremony to everything. He was unique. And Vickie Sue was gorgeous and a fantastic Singer. Very complete. Love this. Beautiful clip.
RIP Dick Clark (November 30, 1929 - April 18, 2012), aged 82 And RIP Vicki Sue Robinson (May 31, 1954 - April 27, 2000), aged 45 You both will be remembered as legends.

Why would she have an accent? She is African American and White.
Rest In Peace Vicki. I had the pleasure of hearing you sing “Turn the Beat Around” in person at the Taste of Minnesota on July 6, 1996.

Lovely Vicki Sue. Gone 2 soon
RIP Vicki Sue Robinson and Dick Clark
So cool to see her talk for the first time.
She was gorgeous and what a voice
She liked musical theater the most. These were real artists with talent not freaks who want to see themselves on tv like the last 25+ years.

What a sweet interview. So sad when I found she has left us.

Not the greatest interview, but she was one beautiful and talented woman!
Taken away from us too soon due to cancer. I am sad she never got to see the Gloria Estefan cover of her amazing original
Gawd they're both dead and today's music is dead too!
