Even tho the Google Services are not available straightaway, there are roundabout ways to use it like MicroG and stuff. I switched from Mate 20x 5G to Mate 40 Pro and now im waiting for Mate 50 Pro. Its kinda like a step back because no 5G feature, but then again I'm in India and 5G is not here yet, so it doesn't matter. xD
Huawei makes some of the most impressive hardware on phones. I’m really upset about the trade ban because it’s one of the few android phones I thoroughly enjoyed, especially after I switched from the iPhone 7 back in 2018 to the p20 pro. Were it not for the for the US ban, I’d definitely have bought a huawei. Just the thought of where they would’ve been now, especially because before the ban, they were the second biggest cellphone maker in the world

I have a mate 40 pro and not having Google services hasn't effected me at all. Most of my apps I get from alternative app stores like apkpure and the rest from the Huawei app gallery. I have all my banking apps and everything I need

I'm still using my P20 Pro. I know there are superior handsets out there but honestly, not once have I felt the P20 inadequate or somehow lacking. I've never had a phone as long as this thing... but maybe the P50 Pro will be my next 👍
I play Asphalt 9 mostly and quite alot on it and it first heats up after around 10min and then lag during races. Probably also due to Gameloft not optimizing the game for the chipset, but I'm looking at P50 when it becomes available if it's not too expensive. They have to take the fight back to Xiaomi with low prices to regain their market

My P40 doesn't have Google play support yet I have UA-cam signed in (youtubevanced) twitter, Facebook, messanger, Instagram, telegram, what's app etc. I can check my Gmail and outlook in the email app. I'm not really losing anything not having Google. In fact not having Google is far better.

In my understanding:- Huawei p50 (the non-pro) comes with 3 colors: Pearl white - Cocoa gold - Golden black Huawei p50 pro comes with 5 colors (the special color is included): Pearl white - Charm pink - Cocoa gold - Golden black And the 5th color is a special color and it's called "Dynamic blue", this is the only color that has a colour changing glass for calls

I would quite happily go back to the Huawei P phones. I thought the Sony Xperia 1 ii would be exceptional, but has limitations. Rather use DSLR for proper camera experience and a Huawei for computational image capture when on the move.
@@MrBazzyK If you want to learn about basics of cameras, it will be a handy investment, buy one used. Limitations are dynamic range and struggles in low light without a tripod.

I used to buy Huawei phones and I love it so much. (My Mate 20 is miraculously still working eventhough I often dropped it at significant heights. I also accidentally dropped it in a puddle of water and I actually saw water inside the display but after a few days, I think it healed itself and the display is okay again). However, when I renewed my phone plan, I opted for a samsung because the google services are really important to me. US really is playing dirty and I hope this ban will be lifted soon because I would love to get the newer phone models of Huawei.
I guess chrome did not work and youtube worked for you as you tried installing the play services. Without them (because they are obviously not working) you can get Chrome to work. UA-cam won't work then though
Still waiting on my Xperia 1 III. No phone announced in the long pre order wait has made me regret pre ordering. The Zenfone 8 has 1080p screen as does the mi mix 4. And every other phone including this has a hole punch. Can't wait for that fad to fade.
As i just commented under your Honor Magic3 Pro+ video, the "true power" of a monochrome sensor lies in ultra-low-light performance (ultra means like pitch black, not evening/streetlights dark). I'd really want to know how the phone compares in such case against others, and also if it can finally take videos using the monochrome sensor (it was photo only on the Huawei P10). Anyways, great review, really enjoyed it!
Finally after 1 decades of mobile era we had been founding a new Mobile OS after Android And iOS . And i.e Harmony Os by a Chinese company .. it's kind a good to see .. ya
Huawei phones are really stunning phones..infact I bought Nova 7t and lower midrange. Their lcd panel looks really good comparable to oled.. Unlike other lcd phones looks dim and wash out..too bad I hope they can fix their Google ban
