I downloaded an MP3 audio of this song but lost it. It was Dishwalla doing this song live somewhere live way way back. The guy playing acoustic elaborated much more than this guy does and at the end of the song the lead singer of Dishwalla gave a nod of thanks to the guitar player. Does anyone remember hearing that version of this song? I've heard the so called "live acoustic version of this song, but what they played was much simpler. It had no electric guitar, just backround cool mellow electric bass and excellent lead acoustic guitar and vocals. Anyways, it sounded. A thumbs up if anyone can link me up or remembers that live version of Counting Blue Cars.
I didn't know JR had left the band, so I looked for these videos to check out Justin singing. Of course he's not JR, no one will ever be, but the guy is actually very good.
I want to cry when the new vocalist is trying to sing songs J. R Richards. They have been writing new songs, and it is already very long no albums... of Course it was good to see the old crew Dishwalla.
JR lives in Buckland, England with his wife Min. He was ousted from the band in a not very cool way. But the true talent lies with him; by early 2024 he'll be releasing a new album, and from what I've heard so far, it's gonna be amazing.
Because this is Justin Fox, not the original lead singer J.R. Richards. But you are correct in that he should know the lyrics to the bands most commercially successful song.
nah...he nailed it....has the range and the talent. I saw them with JR 30 times and the new guy a few times, and the guy is great. The dark era was when they were without George. But then again you know what they say about opinions.

FANTASTI PERFORMANCE!! GREAT VOICE!!!!!!!
I have seen Justin, and he's an ok singer, but when you hear JR, you realize what a true icon sounds like.
Not the original voice BUT just listen to him a few times and if you really know music, you'll know that he is good and his voice fits perfect.

What I don't understand is how can he not remember the lyrics of the band's (arguably) most famous song, at least to the masses?
Because this is Justin Fox, not the original lead singer J.R. Richards. But you are correct in that he should know the lyrics to the bands most commercially successful song.
and he has the lyrics in front of him
sorry, but JR Richards is Dishwalla..I loved the band because of JR's voice.
Where's jr
Great to see together to Gerge and Rodney...vocals not are bad but....not are dishwalla
TELL ME ALL YOUR FAVORITE SONGS, WE HEAR ONLY GOOD SONGS
without Richards, there is no Dishwalla. This guy has a wonderful voice. But not what defined this band.
mjethier Yes. The ‘Pet Your Friends’ lineup was incredible.
Woah! That’s like Joe Lyn Turner trying to sing a Ronnie James Dio era Rainbow tune. 🤨
jr is the meaning of dishwalla ;((
