I've gone through all kinds of bands, but I could never put Iron Maiden away from my Top 3. They made me fall in love with Rock and Metal and they will always hold a special place in my heart.
Since I was 12 I've always struggled in ranking their albums... At the beginning Powerslave was at the top for me, then 7th Son of a 7th Son, for the longest period Somewhere In Time was my favourite... Right now I'm struggling between Somewhere In Time and Piece of Mind. Super hard work, that underlines the fact that they're just incredible.
The first 7 albums are just perfection. You can't go wrong with the first 7 😊💪

Somewhere in Time is the most atmospheric one, and it's my favorite, I feel it

The whole Powerslave album is outstanding. The title track and Rime of the ancient mariner are standouts

The title track and 'Rime of the Ancient Mariner' are both absolute barn-burners. I'm excited for you!

Love that you appreciate the Bruce! Nobody does it like Bruce Dickinson. On all wavelengths.
I love how people be like, yea, he used to rock! Yea. You sing like him, get up to age 62, after surviving throat cancer, put out a new album and then we'll talk peeps.

When I first heard this song I couldn’t have been older than 12. I had a burned disk a friend gave me. Put it on to this song because I heard it was good. My young brain was overwhelmed. It was so much music at once. I couldn’t focus on anything but the vocals like a track for an out of control roller coaster. I listened to like 30 seconds of the song and had to rewind it. And rewind it. I was at the swimming pool exercise area and walked around with this in my Walkman for hours. by the time I got through the song my brain was exhausted. My ears kinda hurt (had it all the way up) and I didn’t know what the song sounded like except the vocals.
My young mind grew so much from this album. I had to literally develop synapse to handle it.

I discovered Iron Maiden with "Somewhere in Time". This album is a pure musical gem.
And my second favorite is "No Prayer for The Dying". Fantastic album but, strangely, so hated by many fans of the band.
Still now, I don't know why.

Both melodic, and Somewhere in Time is the most atmospheric, haters have no sense, like they have not developed synapses for that gem

Will you do Spotify for the rest of the album? The production of the songs is so good. Personally I like the first two tracks the least even though they are good songs.

I was so psyched to get this cassette when I was 14, but my Spanish teacher caught me listening to my walkman, and confiscated both the walkman and tape for two days. Those were two long days.
