Not one of the most known Iron Maiden songs but in my view it is one of their best masterpieces with every musical element you look for in a metal song and every instrument killing it! Up the Irons!
YOOO someone actually listened to this?! This is my favourite Maiden song bar none. The instrumental section is incredible. And this song is criminally underrated, nobody ever talks about it. Not even the band, as they never played it live. Thanks a ton for doing this vid!
Probably the best place to start is where it all started - Black Sabbath. They created heavy metal in one fell swoop with their debut album. Their first six albums are all literal classics, and very easy to listen to.
Very underrated powerful song this one was, the next 1 is very underrated called BACK IN THE VILLAGE, the other 2 well... POWERSLAVE its another powerful song n RIME OF TE ANCIENT MARINER is the epic 13:45 min. long poem story, Bruce Dickinson goes all out in both these songs, can't wait to c ur reactions on the last 3 songs cause no doubt u'll b receiving 3 likes for sure lol 😉👍, keep up the good work my friend n UP THE IRONS
Enjoyed very much the song and your reaction! 🤟🙂🍻 ... you should react to the full album: "Heaven and Hell " from Black Sabbath with vocalist Ronnie James Dio !!
Interesting that you went for this album instead of Number of the Beast. The title song is the best in my opinion! I kinda slept on this album for a long time, but I question more and more why. Part of it was I'm not the biggest fan of the last long song Rime of the Ancient Mariner, but hey it's still Maiden through and through. Definitely check out the Number of the Beast record if you want more. Or check out their infamous Rock in Rio live album from 2002. It's definitely my fav IM live album.
I slept on this album for a long time as well. I think a lot of WHY that happened was because I enjoyed Aces High, 2 Minutes to Midnight, Powerslave, and Rime of the Ancient Mariner MUCH more from Live After Death than the studio tracks from this album. I kind of did the same with Piece of Mind. Especially Revelations and Flight of Icarus. They just seem ridiculously slow on the studio recordings vs. the more sped up versions on Live After Death. The weird part though is that I actually prefer the studio recordings on Number of the Beast as opposed to its live recordings from Live After Death.
Arguably Bruce's best album.Although Somewhere In Time was the last album I bought so what do I know???? 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
"unbelievable how much momentum..." and the epic songs are yet to come :D also, please do other bands, don't focus too much on a single band cause there is so much different greatness out there. afaik you haven't done any Rush, Meshuggah (Clockworks!!), Voivod (Phobos (Album), Jack Luminous (Track) or a stoned reaction on "Dimension Hatroess"!!! :D), old Genesis, old Van der Graaf Generator or some other cool shit like PJ Harvey, Portishead, Massive Attack, Herbalizer or Shpongle (or or or or). Stay versatile!
Yes maiden is actually progressive metal- if you want more similar to powerslave go number of the beast and piece of mind- if you want more progressive go somewhere in time and seventh son
More 80's metal: Kiss - Creatures of the Night - The album is high energy, melodic and anthemic. If you want more Iron Maiden albums, try Killers or Piece of Mind
Classic metal albums? Master of Puppets is probably the all around greatest, Rust in Peace by Megadeth, Sabbath's Paranoid, and Anthrax's Persistence of Time are all great as well.

indeed bro that solo section rips ass 🏴🤝
I was 12 years old when I got this album I'm 52 now and I still love it!!!
My favorite song of this album, the guitar's solos, the melodic riffs are the perfect definition of what Iron Maiden music is.

Peace o Mind- Iron Maiden, the next álbum!!
Well done. love it when people review the deeper tracks on an album.
Always appreciate people who go the extra mile beyond the popular tunes

Ugly colors u got there.
Next Iron Maiden album Somewhere In Time, if you liked Powerslave you will like Somewhere in Time.
Bruce and Steve really shine on this one

Great song to cruise to. Powerslave and Ancient Mariner still to come. Up the Irons!
If you're interested in great music combined with history check out the songs by Iron Maiden - Alexander the Great, The Longest Day and Paschendale.
