So you didn't use cream of tartar or vinegar? When I was a kid I used cream of tartar and yesterday I watched a woman use vinegar.. 🤔 I'm so glad you dropped your's on paper.. Too many people put it in pans n cut it.. I don't think they have very good recipes.. Thank you for this video! I saved it.. 🤗
When it begins to get stiff in the bowl, I do a test drop to see if it will stand up. If not, I place the test candy back in the bowl and keep stirring. Then, I test again. When it stands, you will want to work quickly so it doesn't sugar. Hope this helps. I wish you lived close, I could do a candy making class. That would be a lot of fun.

I thought hard crack or hard ball
