I read a lot of the reviews on Amazon and watched stress tests with this. Bottom line is, it will get the job done if it ever came down to a self defense situation. I like the fact you brought up on how it the edges dont need to be sharpened and how it may be less effective if they were. I just ordered one now. A good conversation piece to have on the coffee table for when my friends come over. But yea, anyone with a knife collection would have to get one of these. We need to be thankful we can live in a country where we can freely buy this stuff. Lookin forward to your next vid.
Thank ya sir. It is definitely a conversation starter. I plan to do more videos soon mainly on firearms. And I have a new benchmade 531 knife I might review but there’s plenty of reviews out there. I appreciate the support and kind words though.
I got the original Cold Steel SanMaiIII Black Talon new in a box that i bought long ago when they were producing those. Too bad they discontinued that one.
For people asking "Why is Banned" Allow me to explain. This blade, and all similar blades like it, are BANNED by the Geneva Convention for any military use in a time of war. In other-words, it's banned for soldiers to use to fight with or kill an enemy with. Why? Because it's considered so dangerous that it's listed as "cruel and inhumane way to kill". And yet, civilians can have as many of these as they want and, at least in the USA, if someone breaks into your home and is trying to hurt you, depending on the state, the civilian has the right to use it in self defense.
I wonder if, if mounted on a pole and used as a throwing spear or javelin, would it spin and thus increase the accuracy, much like rifling a gun barrel?
Looks cool but really no better if not worse than other knifes. Plus from a legal stand point good luck explaining that knife away if, god forbid, you ever had to actually stab somebody with it.
That would also make one hell of a bayonet. Awesome review Seth!
