You know what else scales with faith, and is related to the dlc? St trina’s torch.
Never heard of it.
Explain please
My mom
Had us in the first half ngl.
doit.
I heard the dlc will be a dark place. What helps in the dark? A torch. What’s the brightest torch in Elden ring? St.Trinias🤔
Trinia? Never heard of it. Trina? It sucks!
@@Littlesaintfortnite Actually I'd say it blows
Ghost flame torch brighter
Actually the Ghostflame Torch is brighter
Sir, the brightest torch in the game is the enemies face when I launch a Giantsflame Take Thee tactical nuke into it.
STR/FTH is going to give you great scaling with fire attacks, such as Giantsflame Take Thee, any multi-hit ash on a fire-infused weapon, or even a Mists of Slumber from St. Trina’s Torch
Honestly, it never ceases to amaze how well Chase can read other players and time out attacks and roll catches while simultaneously being entirely unable to read and remember the name of the host or notice the arrival of blues about 30% of the time. It's as much a Chase classic as the Torch and Black Knife showcase jokes
Sometimes i scream CHASE THATS THE HOST but i love it anyway 😂
No hate to the torch people, I am one of them, but this is an underrated comment
we need a “disrespect your surroundings” dex curve sword parry video 😎
Every time I come home from work, there's a fresh ChaseTheBro Elden Ring video for me to enjoy while having dinner. Thanks for the years of quality built content
He usually posts them right after I start working but I just sit at the computer and watch the video anyway 🤣
Priorities
I like that you've started using the Grafted Greatsword as a stat buff. I wasn't sold on it at first, but seeing it used to meet an incant requirement or gravity shenanigans is a pretty clever thing to combine with talisman swaps. I suppose this means it can also enable Starscourge on any build if you're willing to wear Renalla's traffic cone hat.
Renalla's hat? NNNNNEEEEEEVVVVVVVEEEER
I realised how busted this is before this dude 😂 honestly super underrated.
It's good for using pestering threads on the elden beast
I’d suggest a St. Torch Build for the DLC, sleep builds are amazing
"When did you transform from a cactus?" Chase asking the most important questions as usual
Been a while since I've seen the Host wearing a trick mirror to look like a phantom
I always do that because invaders (who aren’t cracked like Chase) usually go straight for the host
Try the damn torch
Wizards mentioned at least 14 times:
05:42 Now what if you have to dodge the Wizard and this
12:26 Ooh, Wizard
12:51 Hi there you're a Wizard, huh? Definitely a Wizard
12:59 Hey Wizard
13:17 Ignore the Wizard
13:20 Should never ignore a Wizard but ... hey Wizard
13:27 That's we wanted to to ignore the Wizard
16:53 Oh? Enemy? Wizard?
16:58 Oh, second Wizard
17:01 You know what we do to Wizards
17:13 When I'm in your face Mr. Wizard
17:18 It's another Wizard
Since I started counting there were 3715.2 mentionings of Wizards across 318 videos.
Bonus:
09:58
weirdo
@@AdoreYouInAshXI chase does seem obsessed with saying 'wizard' dunno if that makes him a weirdo though
I always love seeing you mess around with the uplifting aromatic. What if you took it further and tried invading with Mohg's rune + seppuku and warming stones to buff enemies more? Probably not too consistent but would be funny
Now I'm imagining a 'Dungeon Master' invasion, just sneaking around buffing the PvE and setting off traps, haha!
I'm definitely taking a strength/faith build into the DLC first almost entirely to use the crucible wings incantation. I ain't waiting a second longer 😂
Same lol, I've been wanting that incantation since the moment I first got my ass kicked by a Crucible Knight!
Flaming Strike Dismounter was my choice combo on my very first playthrough and i absolutely adored it.
its got amazing damage potential, satisfying charged attacks, versatile moves both fast and slow, strong verticals, wide horizontals, and both the two-handed and one-handed movesets are incredibly useful, and i fell in love with flaming strike the second i said to myself "Wait....did they just add the Flaming Barrel from Sekiro to this game? i wonder if it does the..." *Taps Skill+Heavy* "....oh my god...."
Chases rule about Wizards, that they always need to dies first. Wether it's the host or phantoms, wizards are always more trouble some
This is not only a chase rule but a rule for any kind of Fantasy RPG. Casters die first ;)
@@DieSpielhoelle i mean not only rpg but also in any tactical scenario, irl it makes more sense to disable enemy artillery first rather than sending troops to storm the battlefield
true, but did you see the blasphemous user in the 2nd invasion, the repetitive spam was crazy
Chase I saw a clip on Reddit that apparently Shield Bash will also instantly guard break, even through an enemy's own Shield CRASH.
Anyway it would be nice to see you try that out, instantly guard breaking a fingerprint with a small/medium shield is hilarious.
Thank you for the confirmation I made a strength faith build and I’m happy this video made me not question myself lol
I quite like the new hat; gives a bit of a Lady Maria look.
Chase your vids have made me learn hardswaps, I don't use any meta weapons but hardswapping between 6 different iron greatswords with different ashes each to throw people off from what they expect
the "disappointment unmeasurable" always gets me.
9:34 y'know, for some reason I never realized Golden Land had a follow-up like WoD despite having an old Str-Faith build using it with the Order weapon buff spell
Love your vids Chase!❤
Love your videos, I watch them every night they're up.
BTW: I think a bloopers video of invasions that went like super wrong would be super fun to watch.
My main save is an old Solaire. Strength faith build. Red lightning and claymore
I also am having a hard time deciding which build i want to use in the dlc, i originally was gonna use my ng+7 str/fth for the challenge, but im also thinking about just doing my arcane build which is just regular ng that way i can just breeze through get the new stuff and start invading asap. Decisions decisions
Very helpful since I'm using strength faith too
Love the content, can you do a battle mage chase build with stone club and cannon/hammer of haima
I have typically done my Souls playthroughs with fast dex-based weapons (straight and curved swords). Now, I just started doing a pure-strength build centered around the unique fully-charged R2 of the Iron Cleaver (S-scaling in STR when heavy infused) + Royal Knight Resolve. Omg... I am addicted! I am definitely going to keep it into the DLC.
Also worth noting that the Silver Tear head is 8 levels for a drop of like 20~25 AR on most relevant weapons, and it's also specifically physical AR so split weapons and most spells are basically unaffected. 60 is really easy to do at 180 and is basically 1.5x the drop rate of most other builds(107-110)
Soon as I heard the location of the dlc, I knew we would be getting faith bangers. Been prepping my faith str paladin for the dlc as well 😭
Are you making another level up through PvP series? Rewatched it recently man that was so good!
Amazing as always chase! When a full madness invasion? Also, have you thought of doing a fails compilation? Would be kind of funny xD
Hey man, I really love your videos! I was wondering, how do you swap equipment so quickly during combat? Also, do you have any tips for sorting certain weapons? I really struggle with that, but watching your videos makes me want to learn that skill. Damn, I'm slow as hell!
Please give me your pro tips! A video guide on how to swap like a pro and staple talismans would be lovely!
the Carian Knights Swords has an unique R2 that can trade pretty well. id love to see a build with that weapon
Strength faith is ny favourite build so far. Im about to try an arcane build so I'll see how that goes but str faith is definitely my ole reliable. Even if i prefer sorcerers just for all the sword /weapon spells
Can you make a vid explaining how you built this character? Like every step you did from the start of the game till end game? Great vid btw ❤
Do you have an updated build for STR/FTH that includes the use of incantations for damage and not only buffs?
Sacrificial axe offhand can also make for very sustainable exploration
I'm just hyped for the new ninja weapon and possible gameplay style the gear unlocks. Also I want ninja armor and a dex/fth katana with a unique Ash of War
what ninja weapon?
Since you've done a light roll build and saw good in the distance you gain from dodging away, do you think you'll incorporate that when you begin to do more cosplay builds?
@Chasethebro can you do a scythe build? The two hand crouch attack has a good roll catch
Chase, what do you think is a good level to start the dlc?..
My character is also on 139, but I am afraid I will be a bit too high and not suffer while I play
Death blight build would be a challenging build to see. Death Lightning and eclipse shotel would help make more trees in elden ring
39 DAYS MY DUDES!!!! Great vid btw!
Ugh not first although I’m still begging for the flashy curved sword parry build! Day 8! “The flashiest glass cannon build”
As many times as i started with other builds i somehow always gravitate back on str faith
Hey chase, if you want a fun and unique themed build, try a reflective paladin. Mine is somewhat based off Vaati's version, but more tailored for PVP. Key stats are 30 strength (for Erdtree GS), 23 Int (for single and triple onion rings), and as much faith as you can manage besides that. Basically it's focussed around casting rings, triple rings, and spiritcalling bells, and then deflecting your own projectiles with the erdtree GS for huge bursts of holy damage. Very tricksy, totally unique playstyle, LOADS of fun.
Personally, I like to run it with a Curved Great Club with Golden Land so that I have an answer to aggressive players. And Wrath of Gold for the same purpose. Also, you have lots of room for buffs that can make up for your split stat spread.
Aye it's BrasetheCho
Already got my prayerful strike great mace build ready for the dlc. Cathedral Knight cosplay character is ready to go
Personally im bringing in a dex str arc build focusing on 2 antspur rapiers for poison and rot
You made a great point earlier an arcane build would be optimal to farm any potential new enemy weapons and such.
Dude don't cut scenes! The exploration part to find the enemy is fun too 😁
I'm currently getting a str / faith build but am leveling faith more and use holy infisions. Is it better to use strength most? What are the pros and cons?
Its hard to beat the versatility of Faith - you get so many tools and have access to various incantations etc and I'm sure there'll be plenty of new faith stuff considering the theme of the dlc.
It pretty much can't be a wrong choice no matter what whereas other builds can be a bit more limited in choice and new loot potential
I have been thinking about it for a while now but how do you change your build so fast? I want to make PvP oriented characters too :)
In the vain of faith, I'd love to see golden order greatsword- the projectile is ok, but the starting aoe is dope
We need to bring back vigor shaming like how are you farum azula with 1000hp
Hey chase what is the best level for pvp ( im level 120 and I use ps5 but it sill takes a long time for me to be able to do get into invasions or even get into collosium
I can’t agree more!
Definitely my choice for dlc
139 str+faith
I love the fact that those hosts try to trick the invader with the ring, only to die sooner because of that, because most invaders always target the phantom first.
It’s the opposite. 90% of invaders aren’t skilled and desperately tunnel with a “kill the host before I die” mentality.
I'm gonna bring a basic Dex/Strength build using the Knights Greatsword into the DLC because I am predicting that the new Martial Arts weapons are gonna be a mix of Dex and Strength, so I am prepping for both just in case (Would use a non basic weapon, but I like this weapons animations and I want to not breeze through the DLC too much. That, and I am bringing the Raging Wolf set as my fashion, and this Greatsword matches the Black and Red perfectly)
ChaseTheBro invasion drinking game
drink every time Chase says
"Booty?"
"I should use ___ more, honestly."
"Dishonest."
Chase, could you do an Elenoras Poleblade video please?🙏
Check out his page, he did a showcase build video already for every weapon
I tried searching on his channel, but couldn't find it. That's why I asked
I startes 3 new characters and went to 50, 80 and 120 and keot going with the faith strength build to lvl 134 and thinking about taking it to the dlc and saving the othwrs for PVP
what armor pieces do you have on in this video?
could you do an int/faith caster at RL200 ? its pretty op at that level
Arguably, the best build for dlc is arcane because of higher item discovery and bleed.
But I think I will be using str faith build of sorts as well. Claymore with Stormblade and Electrify Armament and Golden Vow as my primary buffs.
Could you try a build with endure into the madness hug? I bet it would be similar to lifesteal fist.
Yeah it works well with the dagger talisman
@@phantomthunder203 does the grab count as a crit? Do you know?
You gonna upload the dlc? Or gonna play it off camera?
holy damage HAD BETTER BE strong in the DLC, since it's resisted in the entire base game
Y'know personally, the best build I think would be a arcane faith build, I hear St. Trina's is a great torch when combined with bleed proc weapons like the dual thorn whips
Well I guess I'm using my lvl 160 Cleric.
It's not gonna hit as hard as this build because my stat spread is a bit wonky (I wanted 40 dex for spellcasting, but needed 30 str for Great Club, and I have 50 faith).
But I have other ways to buff my damage, so I'm confident its gonna be a piece of cake
Curved Greatswords went from being my least favourite weapon in DS3 to being one of my absolute favourites in ER once they finished fiddling with the code.
They’re in a really good place right now.
They’ll roll catch just about anything it seems.
Also super useful offhand instead of an off-stoc if the main hand weapon is something pokey.
Next time you’re doing a Blood infused build, try one out, 2H and offhand. Reckon you’ll be surprised at its utility.
Running R2 > L1 > L2
Enjoying the vids as always!
Catch ya next time!
I got special insite that the DLC is going to be more ranged base and your character will be reset to the beginning, loosing all weapons and levels. Choosing the difficulty you pick will be your base weapon you start with.
Dual flame art omen cleavers. 😎
I think str/fth is the most versatile build with access to the best complement of weapons.
I know you dont "Need" to do this, but the Mohg great rune can give you items that can be used in invasions to buff in-world enemies
It also buffs St.trinas' Torch, i promise.
ARC would be good for discovery and finding new items fast
does the commander standard buff enemy mobs while invading?
Can anyone confirm for me whether you can parry Ordovis's Vortex or not?
I could only find a single comment in a reddit post about parryable AoW saying you can, but also nothing saying you can't. I've tried parrying it a bunch of times but can't tell whether my timing is off or whether it's just not possible.
New to the game went from a bleed build to a strength int cause I like glowing swords😂
Maybe try Holy Ground/incantations to buff enemies? Would be a fun idea (I think)
11:54 was very Seth Rogen of you
I wish they would add Radagon's teleport ability as an incantation for faith users. When you lock on an enemy, you use it to teleport directly to them and explode in a small beam of light that does moderate damage. Could make it so you can quickly catch up with pesky hosts that are 200 feet above you and with no easy way to climb up to. They would probably have to make sure it doesn't have infinite range though, as you could just skip over a whole area and maybe crash the game. I think it'd be neat.
I love your strength faith builds always fun to watch
You know what I love more though?
St. Trinas torch builds
Oh my god you have become such a monster.
faith up to 25 for golden vow incantation, one of the best buffs in the game (if not the best)
Give the people what they want chase
Is it better to level strength or faith?
All you need is 10 strength/14 faith
I’m going with a parry shield, a cold uchi, and a dream.
i havent decided if i want to go for a faith build yet since holy damage isnt that great at least to my understanding. lots of enemies are resistant to it
You might as well throw lightning blade on this build for some extra damage on your heavy weapons
Strenght Faith !!! ❤
13:26 That was a close call. Too close for comfort. 😬
Strength faith is the goat
How do you run and switch weapons?
I’m taking my Faith Quality build into the DLC. 22/24/50 on the split. Enough to use things like Sacred Relic Sword and Blasphemous Blade.
While also giving access to a bunch of other weapons and 50 Faith for good scaling, damage and literally all the incants I’d want.
RL150 so it’s not crazy out of the way for PvP either.
Currently working on making the Sacred Relic Sword a main, the moveset is surprisingly good and I can force people to move with the ash. It’s predictable but so is what people do against it. 3D chess lol.
