Thanks, Beau for helping lift the truck! Now we got to lift the back end. Subscribe to beau we will be making more videos!
The truck will seem taller at first but once it settles it won't look so High. It looks really good I like it I have an 04 Ford ranger and I want to put my kit on iv had it for 2years and I can't wait finally gunna do it ty for the video
How's that holding up, boss? I have an 04 Ranger as a daily driver and am looking at doing this to it.
Good start spenc but you can't leave it sqauded that would be horrible otherwise always like your videos keep up the good work 👍
The plan is to raise the back end to fix the squat
Nice video, helped me out alot today. I had to notch the metal to fit the tool as well. Good thinking guys and thanks again.
How's the angle on the front control arms/axles? Is there any adjustability go lower or raise the front end to get closer to the rear height?
Can't you drop the front with adjuster bolt to level it
most likely you can. you could also tighten them with the stock keys (to level) , it could technically cause more stress. But lets be honest a lift will too, just make sure the alignment is correct and you should be okay. FYI the camber/ caster is non adjustable from factory, if yours is off they make adjustable camber/caster bolts.
I was thinking the same thing. I'm assuming they could adjust them and level the truck out.
Inspect the rear leaf spring and rear shocks
Rear leaf springs appear to be fine, but the rear shocks could probably be replaced. We'll be installing an adjustable rear shackle to raise up the rear and level out the truck soon.
I have a 2011 Ford ranger but I don't have torshion bars on it.Still trying to find a way to lift the front end.
And if you're shackle mounts of Rusty I would suggest changing those out right away
Hi Guys!
Dang I wish you woulda showed how to remove the shocks
Well then get some adjustable shackles for the rear end on the leafs
Nice video with a good view on what it takes to change those keys. We are doing this lift on a 98 Ranger later on today and this helps prepare. Thanks!
I would just loosen the adjuster bolts to get it level.
how much did it settle? i just did this yesterday and it seemed to max out my stock shocks. any info would help thanks.
I bought rough country extended shocks for this very reason
I'm literally doing this tomorrow morning on my 2011. Did you use longer shocks? For. 2" torsion lift do u think it's a good idea to get 2" over stock length shocks?
We used the factory shocks, but it would be a good idea to upgrade and get longer shocks.
will this work with a 2wheel drive model?
Is this lift kit worth it? Did it effect anything else?
No problems with the stability control with the level?
Nope, no issues
You won't have any problems with tire wear.
How did it level over time? Did you have to life the rear as well?
We ended up raising the rear with some adjustable rear shackles. I've got a video of the install on my channel as well.
@@AbnormalGarage It looks great! I have the same exact truck im going to lift. I think I will go with a add-a-leaf for hauling trailers.
Is that an s15 in the back there?
S14
What is the wheel and tire set up?
Wheels are OEM (15x7), and tires are BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A (31x10.50r15)
Do you need that tool or will a c clamp do it?
I'd stick with the Rough Country tool
Hey is that quad in the back for sale
No, not at the moment.
If you have to cut at the cross brace frame, then you have the wrong tool. That's all structure you just weakend
Hi
Hi
hi
That was ugly. No need to grind anything!
Yes you actually need to grind it so the torsion tool can get through
@@Graham_A DEF NOT, I USED GEAR PULLER WITHOUT CUTTING ANY PEICES
Do I have to have a new shock with a torsion key? Can I only add a torsion key to get lifted?
I want to lift my ranger 2 by three inches and the torsion bar and I want to know if it will have problems with the tires
Plus was the new shocks the same height as the old shocks?
Yes, the new shocks were the same size as the old ones. The new bushings were a lot thicker than the smashed down factory ones, so we were unable to run the shock spacers included in the rough country kit.
Why didn’t you just crank the torsion bars?
Didn’t want to affect the ride harshness. The aftermarket torsion bar keys give the truck a slight lift, while still feeling like a factory ride.
