Tim couldn't move. He was standing in a boat (chances boat) in the front yard of his brother in laws house. Chance lives in Los Angeles and doesn't have anywhere to store it so Tim said we will store it because obviously we will need it for a video sometime and I'll have it handy when I dress up like a pirate 😂😂😂😂
Adam Rupp (beatboxer) has said that he lays down the percussion/beats after the guys do their vocals. He gives a snippet of how that's done in a video called "Home Away from Home Ep. 6 Adam's Place!". He has his own "beats lab" as he calls it. It's interesting. Loving your reactions!!
That's right. And the guys leave it totally up to him to do whatever he thinks is best with the beat. He always adds just the right flair to any song. Never too much or too little.
How good are these guys? The fun & energy in this is infectious. This was done during quarantine so none of the guys were even together. The editing of this was great & was done in the Tik Tok style. Love all the guys parts, with Tim's rumbling bass underlying it all. And Adam's beatboxing is phenomenal as always including castanets. Amazing how he increased the tempo from one song to another.
These songs are a common thread in The UK, America and Australia. These were sung on the way from the UK to the pioneers/prisoners on their way to these lands. Im in Australia my father sang the 4th one to me when I was a baby
Chance lives in LA, Adam and Rob and also their producer Darren Rust, live in Minnesota and Austin and Tim (originally from Texas), live in Tennessee. So during covid, performing at the same studio, would be impossible. They each have studios and equipment to perform at their homes and then send directly to their producer. They are amazing and love their fans. Giving us songs/videos to help us keep our sanity, during lockdowns. Good reaction!♥️
I remember them saying that when they were stuck at home, they needed a place to record, so they each took a closet in their homes and set up their recording equipment in it.
@@Charmed636363 Adam Chance said "I live in Nashville, Tennessee, but have spent a lot of time in Greenville. It's one of my favorite towns to walk around in." From an article I recently read, about Chance.
@@LadyDragonsblood the article with that quote was dated 2018. During 2020 he lived in LA. Which was the point I made about them not being able to record at the same studio, during lockdown. Can't find any current articles saying he moved somewhere else.
This is not country but Home Free does all genre's and do them extremely well. Even though Tim has no singing leads his bass was amazing along with Adam's percussion. One of their wonderful quarenteen videos. Dressed in whatever they had handy.
During the lock down, Home Free was cranking out videos to keep in touch with their fans. This as you noted posed quite a logistical challenge, so Darren Rust their producer, and acknowledged sixth member of Home Free, suggested what each of them needed for equipment etc. It was quite an ambitious adventure for them all, and as you would expect the songs/videos were better and better. Thank you for checking out Home Free. Hi from Florida.
They mastered the art of recording separately during quarantine. It looks hard to do, but there is no end to their talents. This one was great and fun too!!🐝🤗❤️ congrats on your 1000 subscribers!❤️
Congrats on your 1K fellas !! Great milestone broken !!! This was so successful, they have hinted that there may be a part 2 in the future. Please look into more Home Free !! Meet in the Middle (DiamondRio) & Some Girls Do (Sawyer Brawn) are incredible...the beatboxing on Some Girls Do will blow you away...also that's a Chance lead....it's really good. I know how much you liked his lead on "Yours" a few days ago. Y'all have a great rest of your weekend !
Home Free did a few videos during the Covid lockdown: "Meet in the Middle", "Down to the Honkytonk", "Sunday Best" and a collaboration with Peter Hollens "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". Since you're a regular church attendee, you might also enjoy "O Holy Night" - an early video film in an absolutely gorgeous church (the band still had the beatboxer's brother and co-founder Chris in it. When he left to pursue other interests, Adam Chance joined).
Home Free has dropped a couple on the road videos witch are amazing however Tim Foust has delivered two videos of him singing 1950's music all him a capella. Y'all need to check it out.
Love this! At first I was like sea shanty? What? Who knew sea shanties were a thing? I didn’t but now this is so much fun. Chance (he was the one at the beginning) knew about them on TikTok and he loved them so he brought them to the boys. They weren’t sure but they did it in a TikTok style and it’s great. Home Free did a lot of content during the pandemic and it’s all great. They film themselves at home and send it to their producer and he takes it from there. They have so many good songs. So glad you got headphones…it does make a difference. Helplessly Hoping, One Man Band, How Great Thou Art, Folsom Prison Blues to hear great harmonies. And they’re crazy too….lots of funny ones. Enjoy!
You can't see all of it in the video, but Tim (the bass Capt Jack) was also standing in a boat. It's Nashville though Aka "music city" so all his neighbors probably sing in their backyards too right?
Congratulations on your 1000 subs. Hope it triples in the next month. Keep the Home Free coming and you'll get there as we are a loyal bunch of Home Frys. Thanks for this reaction to a favorite of mine and my neighbor wether he likes it or not. 😜
Great reaction guys!! These guys are addictive to listen to. Never know what they will do in their videos, serious or funny. Butts Medley or Country Fried Pop are funny. Mayday is awesome in the Blood. Heck no matter the song you choose it will be amazing
This was so much fun! I am loving your discovery of these guys. I saw them live a few months ago and it was an awesome experience! Looking forward to more of your content!
We sang "What Do You Do With A Drunken Sailor" in choir and always had a blast! Unfortunately we could not dress up as pirates😢 Love your reactions and comments, and congratulations on 1,000 subs💖
Hi guys you should try their funny/silly songs please check out -- The Butts Remix , All About that Bass or Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget [ original written by Tim Foust MR. SUPERBASS] you are officially Home Fries now Welcome to the family love from Denmark
Love y'alls reactions. Here's a fun fact. Tim -- the bass -- is dressed as Jack Sparrow, standing in a dry docked rowboat, in a backyard in Texas, swinging a pint and singing his amazing, yet somewhat alarming deeeeeeeeep bass notes. Imagine the neighbors. OMG I would pay money to see videos of the reactions of on-lookers. Then there's A Capella Castanets because -- why not? Never heard that before but then Adam Rupp is a freak of nature. Austin with his sword and eyeliner -- well Jesus. Rob waxed his mustache to within an inch of it's life and Chance (who persuaded the guys to do sea shanties -- thank you, Chance) is actually dressed like a real commercial fisherman with the knit cap and T. All that was missing was a yellow raincoat for gales.
So glad to hear you are jumpingo into the Home Free rabit hole - I'll be watching for future reactions - can't go wrong with any on them. You might like a couple of orignals - Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget (Tim Foust) and California Counttry (Austin Brown)
Tim is interviewed by Jacob Restituto where he explains how they record they’re songs during the lockdowns. Apparently it’s some software that allows them to record at home and allows they’re producer to do his adjustments just like being in the recording studio but he or they can be anywhere.
As you are country fans and HF is a country a capella group I want to recommend 'Thank God I'm a country boy'. It's such a fun song and the group makes it even more fun. Don't want to spoil it but Austin is doing a little special performance 😉😁
It's great what Home Free put on during the quarantine. The medley is top notch, the costumes fantastic. Can you imagine looking out the window and seeing Tim in costume singing that mind blowing bass while standing in a boat? Hahaha... And Adam's beatboxing castanets are phenomenal.
They've been doing this at their concerts since Oct and it's AWESOME live. I have video of it on my UA-cam page if you'd like to watch that version too.
Great reaction! Headphones have changed my whole way of hearing things.. glad you got them! Love you guys.. Stay safe.. Thanks!
just so you know...all sailors were NOT pirates and sea shanties were to help the seamen keep tempo with hauling lines and sails. Pirates were then and are still today, murderous scum. I love a good sea shanty.
guys. so glad you are enjoying this amazing band. but sti in 2nd tier you have the best ahead. Whenever HF shoots a party scene, their family members are the core of the crowd. Those scenes aren't acting, they are reality!
Congrats on 1K! Would you react to Woman, amen /Female - mash up?
I love the castanets AND the waves breaking against the bow during Santiana. ❤️. Home Free nailed this medley. It just lifts the spirit.

It sort of shows how they did lock down videos
If you love simple, but great edited videos, check out their version of "Meet in the Middle." 😁
Just a reminder: Not all sailors are pirates.
They are all dressed like sailors.... Chance as a more modern down to Tim as a sailor from the 1700's
