Some trucks look good in a long bed, for example a crew cab long bed Duramax. But 3rd gen Dodge's look stupid with long bed and those tiny rear doors. You need to lift the truck several inches and add 37s for it to look good. I love the short bed look, I can deal with the minor inconvenience if I need to pick up plywood or lumber. My bikes fit just fine, so do sleds with the tailgate down.
Taking the time to do it right means you shouldn't have to redo it. As for bed choice, i prefer the long bed since i run a toolbox transfer tank combo. I don't hate short beds though. I really like the look and stance of them. Just doesn't work out with my set up. Great work as always. Thanks for busting out so much content lately.
Gotta have the long bed to haul more stuff man! Short beds look better but by the time you throw a decent size tool box and fuel cell in the bed you don’t have much room for extra stuff.

My wife drives a short bed to get the groceries. I drive a long bed to haul motorcycles and quads with the gate up so I can pull a trailer at the same time. You know, to do man stuff.
