Josh is more than anticipated in setting up shop in So. Cal. Thinking that there are more than enough customers that would prefer this man to work on their vehicles. So very hard to find a reputable shop that won't gouge hard working folks that use their trucks daily.
I was wondering what metal supply you were headed to before you showed it. I shop at Industrial Metal Supply too but their Sun Valley store. The scrap bin has saved me many times!
So excited to have you back in cali! Rome wasn't built in a day an neither will your empire but perfection takes time! Ever need a fabricator, or mechanic always looking for more projects in palm springs area.
Nice! You have a sweet setup that's gonna work perfect for what you need it for, and you only have to walk 15 feet to work. Plus life is better with palm trees around anyway. win win win
This is awesome Josh! Looking good and best thing is the family is with you brotha! Wish nothing but the best for y’all and the business. Get a hot line set up bro I would have gladly paid for the diagnostics you helped me with for my valve on the 5th GEN dude!!
I am so glad that you got back to your family! It is good to be with those you love and to be with your kids. Best of the efforts to get a shop going, I know that you love to work on trucks and that you need the income. The Lord will open the doors that you need to go forward in life. I live up here in western Oregon near Roseburg. A little cooler than down there and wetter in the winter. LOL 😀
Really cool to see good builders coming out our way, just sucks that we can’t get parts easy lol. Great job on the setup though, it’s going to turn out great
Hell yeah bro! So happy for ya, bet the wife and kids are happy to have you home with them. Your work speaks for itself, you won’t have any issues getting things up and running. And I’m sure your customer base is already there. Btw, your content and our lil chats have helped me tremendously so if there’s anything I can do to help you out in return from across the country don’t hesitate to ask…. Just moved from Texas back home to Michigan myself so I know the feeling of pressure and trying to get life back on track. But on the plus side…… I’m just a hop skip and jump from firepunk now and hsp is literally 45min drive. But I’ll still support you and order as much as I can from you. Also check your messages 😂😂😂😂 on your other platforms bro. Needed 625s in a hurry, just bustin your balls man I know you’ve been busy. Hmu when you got some time though!
I usually weld nuts inside caps welded to the bottom of the legs that I thread 1/2" bolts into so that I can adjust the feet to compensate for less than flat floors.
Hey man, I support your channel. I’m just trying to figure out how you’re gonna thrive in California with the diesel regulations. I pray for the best for you and your family.
It's terrible out in Cali. Nobody should move here. The weather is horrible. The beaches are full of sharks. The woods are full of bears. Everyone should move out and spread the word that Cali is terrible. (End sarcasm)
@@danieljacobsen7196dude I don’t think IV laughed so hard. But this is what everyone thinks. Except right now we have a 22 ft great white circling the mouth of the umpqua River in wincheasterbay Oregon. People surfing like 80 ft away clueless.
Hell Yea!!!! Love the garage setup and can relate, i do the same with Fab and Cummins stuff. I want to get my 47 done by you, im in the riverside area as well and if you need anthing at all! id love to help out. I have a 47 trans ready to go and some PDD parts that ill send your way for sure!!!!! Im trying to get to Diesels in the mountains again this year and would love to hit the dyno!
I would highly suggest putting two exhaust fans in the walls as high as you can with gravity dampeners. If you put it in the roof you have a bigger leak chance with moisture. If you are within 6" of the roof on the walls you are still pulling out the same hot air.
Lookin good my guy, hope you get set up with some good air flow this cali heat is somthin else ( lemoore) shes 105 by 9am dont cool off untill midnight lol
Im building out a shop near Sacramento its unbearably hot in those buildings i spray foamed all the corners then used ridgid foam with a radiant barrier behind it and 10 tons of ac to make it comfortable
Hey there are screens that will enclose the garage when the garage door is open that you can put up to keep the looky-loos at bay. Most are split in the middle and held by magnets. Super convenient. Foam board the walls and roof on that shop. It's going to be brutal in the summer time.
I got a question about injectors. 2014 Ram stockish but have an injector starting to stick. Thinking about getting a set of industrial injection remans. Do you think thats a good idea?
Not trying to be THAT GUY (tho I probably am - sorry), just more for the next project, always cut your longest pieces 1st, that way if you mess up, you can turn longer pieces into shorter ones...if you start with the shorties & mess up 1 at the end, you may not have enough left over to correct the mistake. Anyway, love the content...it won't be soon, but I hope to be 1 of your tranny customers (got my 1st diesel - '06 Cummins). Cheers & good luck on the shop build!
Spray foam insulation and a cheap mini split would keep that shop 70* year round.... No amount of fans or swamp coolers will keep it from being miserable as it is.
You should do a meet up. maybe a diesel trucks and coffee or some kind of daily driver drag race or something. donuts and donuts... or if you want to have a work party. I'll grab my gloves...
@@horsetorquesdiesel well when you are up and running. I need some head studs and new exhaust manifold( mine is cracked where the egt probe was tapped). I would like to get either a bigger turbo or compounds. Can’t decide my brother likes his but working on it makes it a little tougher. But anyways glad to see your stuff is coming together.
Should have set up shop in AZ...Cali is WACK!! Also skip the swamp cooler and throw a 3 ton mini split system in the shop. they are cheap to buy and cheap to run
hey brother me and my dad have been fans since you were with PDD, We live here in the Hesperia California, I have a third gen cummins with some transmission problems, If you need an office or anything with carpentry let me now materials and labor completely free of charge I am a framer so feel free to reach out.
Kids are the hardest job of all time I can verify that I have 5 kids. It’s constant work.
