There is a water source, the Rio grande runs through big bend. Also Fort Stocken is a decent sized town close by. Also great little towns like Alpine and Marfa close by
I haven't watched my vid in a while but I think I was talking about water sources in the Backcountry when I was hiking to the Southern rim. But I actually swam across the rio grande on another trip and traded beer with a Mexican lol it was dopr
Good job man! I enjoy your videos.
Hey man thank you so much!
Well done Chris. How heavy was your pack? Big Bend is a Park I’ve long thought about visiting but in ways it intimidates me with its remote location. Thanks for sharing your time here. Cheers.
You know I never actually weighed it. I would guess maybe 45-50 lbs but I'm not too sure. It was a great time but it's a long drive... Anyways thanks for watching! Looking forward to your rocky mountain pics
Grand Bend is not the most remote, least visited park in the “lower 48”, that honor goes to Isle Royals N P in Lake Superior
Thanks Phil you are correct. I went and re-read the source I got that from and it says "one of the most remote and least visited..." but somehow that mistranslated in my memory.
@@chriscartephotography8818 Sorry folks... least visited is Channel Islands NP... grew up in SoCal and dove, surfed, fished this incredible place, but hey ? I'm splitting hairs :)
I’ve always wanted to dive the Channel Islands. I’m from southern CA too :)
